Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he will follow direction from President Trump’s lawyers during an impeachment trial.

“Everything I do during this, I’m coordinating with White House counsel,” McConnell told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday. “We’ll be working through this process, hopefully in a short period of time, in total coordination with the White House counsel’s office.”

“I’m going to take my cues from the president’s lawyers,” the Kentucky Republican added.

Why not just have him just sit in judgement of himself? Its the same thing.

The senate gives away more of its own power.

If they do not convict Trump they will

give away their power to subpoena members of the executive branch.
give away their confirmation power, for it will mean presidents can use their personal lawyers to conduct government business.

Any chance of removing Trump from office died within the first month of the Mueller investigation.

As usual, when republicans attacked democrats for not abiding by due process, they were announcing to everybody what they were going to do.
