Jimmy Carter loses re-election with less than 50% approval on the economy and a double dip recession

Reagan over 50% approval rating on the economy, win's re-election with 10 million more votes than 1980

GHW Bush loses reelection due to under 50% approval rating on the economy

Clinton wins re-election with over 50% approval rating on the economy and gets 3 million more votes than 1992

GW Bush wins re-election in 2004 with over 50% approval rating on the economy and 12 million more votes than 2000

Obama wins re-election with over 50% approval on the economy BUT gets 4 million fewer votes than

Trump's approval rating on the economy is now 52%

Let's see how radicals explain those actual results?

I've actually been in church my entire life. How about you? Do you live by our bible?

And if you're asking me personally where I get my news, I get none of it from TV and radio. I have every news channel blocked throughout my house. I read things like testimony and Bill's or laws that have been passed. I don't need people like Rush and Sean to interpret things for me because I can read.

I'm the sports fan that mutes the TV during halftime and doesn't watch pregame shows because I can, you know, see what's happening with my own eyes. I don't need interpretations.

You should try that. There are a few people on Twitter that constantly post the actual words from testimony or bills or legislation or what politicians actually say. It's more work than someone spoon feeding you from TV or radio but it gets straight to the actual truth.

And I have no doubt whatsoever that a ton of republicans (and some others) are going to vote for Donald Trump again no matter what is discovered that he has done. He may very well be reelected.

Either way we at least now know who will vote for a guy who pays off a porn star, doesn't pay his bills, has to receive massive money from his parents to pay off his debt, uses federal bankruptcy protection, lies constantly tweets like a teen, is lazy, cheats on his multiple wives, trashes military members, and will say or do anything for money.

That's the best part of this era. You guys took off the masks of Christianity and Family Values.

I am a good practicing Catholic, involved heavily in my church and can tell you without a doubt you have no idea what you are talking about. You will vote for the party that murders babies yes that is a great religious expert

I had a choice, a viable choice, a choice that I didn't like making, a choice that the American people didn't like but it was a choice that was easy to make. I don't have to like some one to vote for them as the alternative to me was much worse. I knew Trump's warts and still know them, I will vote for the person who will do the best job for the country and I am getting exactly the results I voted for.

With the 24/7 media anal exams being given why would anyone run for public office on the national stage? Why don't you tell me what Trump has personally done that has hurt you, your family, or the country? I have never liked Trump but that is irrelevant when it comes to the WH and national policies implemented

The Catholic church is a vile, reprehensible entity that abused, raped, molested, and murdered children at the highest levels of its leadership, covered it up.

Edit: Let's not forget the church also covered up abortions for the abused so priests could keep their administrations secret. The most tender kind, of course.

Democratic Senator Robert Byrd put a motion forward back prior to the trial of Bill Clinton in the senate to have the charges dismissed without the impeachment trial taking place. All it needed was a simple majority to pass, 51 votes and no trial would have taken place. I've been wondering if McConnell and company would utilize the same precedence set by Byrd.

The Republicans controlled the senate back in 1998, Byrd and the Democrats didn't have the votes back then. What matters is that Trump will be impeached by congress and that will follow him for the rest of his life and that is what upsets him the most.

If democrats want something they can go to court to get it. They refuse to go to court probably because they know they would be ruled against.

That is how it works. By not getting a ruling trump is not obstructing anything. Just like a normal defendant he is under no obligation to help leftist in their witch trials.

Not really and there is evidence of a split in the democrat party over these crap articles. There are at least 31 blue dog democrats that are on the fence who are up for re-election.

They are also in pro-trump districts.

No it won't follow him because all you will have to do is look at the final vote and it will be no where close to a bi-partisan vote.

People will view it for the witch hunt it was and when he is cleared by the senate it will make them look even worse.

Rather, you dismiss all of his publicly known venal and mortal sins as if the man's character is of no concern. As long as you get what you want, you could care less that he is going to burn in Hell for all eternity (according to your church's theology).

He actually hasn’t argued Executive Privilege yet.

He’s claiming that he has some blanket absolute immunity, an immunity that he can extent at will to include people who don’t work for him or for the Federal government.

The only fig leaf he has is the courts and their hope that they can run the clock out.

Otherwise, Mitch McConnell is faced with acquitting Trump, and in so doing, handing over the power of Congress to an irresponsible megalomaniac with questionable loyalty.
