From CBS News:

Lisa Page, the former FBI lawyer who exchanged anti-Trump text messages with another FBI employee, is suing the Justice Department and FBI over the disclosure of those text messages to the media. Her attorneys argue in the suit that the revelation of her text messages violates the Privacy Act, which bars "disclosing a covered record 'about' an individual unless an exception applies or the individual who is the subject of the record consents in writing to the disclosure.

The Justice Department declined on Tuesday to comment on the lawsuit.

From the court document:

DOJ's unlawful disclosure of its records of Ms. Page's text messages has caused Ms. Page significant harm and financial loss in the form of : (a) permanent loss of earning capacity due to reputational damage; () attorneys' fees relating to investigations and congressional testimony as well as efforts to prevent the release of personal text messages; (c) the cost of childcare during and transportation to multiple investivative interviews and appearances before Congress; (d) the cost of paying a data-privacy service to protect her personal information; and (e) the cost of therapy to cope with unwanted national media exposure and harassment caused by the December 12 disclosure.

She's been cleared of any wrongdoing by TWO major investigations. Seems....relevant, don't you think?

The DOJ released them to congress. They were leaked from there. Imagine that. I don't know what poor Page thought, but using a government phone for such personal communication might not be a good idea. I doubt a therapist can fix that problem.

Seems...outrageous to me.

Her gall just slays me.

What should "slay" you is her getting publicly smeared for years when no one, including you, can demonstrate any wrongdoing on her part, and two major investigations have cleared her of wrongdoing. Trump continues to lie about her, did so last night.

Not according to IG Michael Horowitz who testified at today's hearing and said this about the vindication of FBI employees:

"The activities we found here don't vindicate anybody who touched this."

Instead of an having an insurance policy against Trump beating Hillary Lisa Page and her FBI co-conspirator and sex partner Strozk should have been wiping their hard drives and smashing their phones. It's all about to come out in the open.

There was no insurance policy. You guys are just lying at this point.

It was was text between Strozk and Page. That's why I say they should've been smashing their phones.

OK, so read the report and tell us what she did wrong. If it's in the report, you can find it I'm sure.

These quotes came from the report:

"In this review, we found that, while Lisa
Page attended some of the discussions regarding the
opening of the investigations, she did not play a role in
the decision to open Crossfire Hurricane or the four
individual cases."

"With respect to Lisa Page, witnesses told us that she did not work with the
team on a regular basis or make any decisions that impacted the investigation.
Priestap told us that Lisa Page was "not in charge of anything" and that he never
witnessed her attempt to steer the investigation or dictate investigative actions.
Baker said that Lisa Page attended high-level meetings and knew the facts of the
case, but was not in a "decision making position" and had no "decision making
authority."

What do you have that says differently?

We've been hearing that for months, and yet Horowitz just issued his report and found no wrongdoing by Lisa Page.

It's an article of faith in Trumpland that she engaged in wrongdoing, but there's no evidence of it, and TWO investigations have cleared her, after she voluntarily talked with investigators a dozen times or so, handed over all requested documents, and cooperated in every way requested.

Horowitz is just the beginning although there's plenty of political bias there. The FBI and CIA (think Brennan, Comey and Clapper) were fully involved in deposing Trump even before he took office. Never happened before in US history these are trying times indeed.

That's FALSE. Read the lawsuit.

Lisa Page v Doj Doc 1 Complaint 12-10-19 (1) | Hillary Clinton Email Controversy | United States Government

3. On December 12, 2017, Defendants [DoJ] violated the Privacy Act by unlawfully disclosing agency records pertaining to Plaintiff—namely, a 90-page document reflecting 375 text messages between Plaintiff and another FBI employee—to a group of reporters.

45. On the evening of December 12, mere hours before Rosenstein’s scheduled testimony, DOJ officials, including then-DOJ spokesperson Sarah Isgur Flores, summoned a select group of reporters to the Department’s offices. There, they allowed the reporters to view the 375text messages. The reporters were told they were not permitted to remove or copy the messages and could not source the messages to DOJ.

46. Senior DOJ leadership authorized the disclosure of these messages to reporters.

There's no evidence Lisa Page did anything wrong, other than have an affair. In the meantime, the right wing puke funnel has been spreading lies about her and smearing her, despite TWO investigations clearing her of wrongdoing.

Lisa Page and FBI co-worker and lover and married Stozk texted about having an insurance policy if Trump won the election. I don't think I made that up it's what falls into the category of common knowledge.

Wait for the senate hearings bub. You ain't seen nothing yet!

expect this to get tossed for one reason
the government disclosed information found on government phones
had the two agents had their texts disclosed which texts were from their non-government owned/issued phones, such disclosure should be found wrong

Nope she wasn't clear she and stzok clearly falsified information refused to report accurate testimony to federal officials and a slew of other federal violations what would range from misdemeanor to felony since it was done on purpose.

Also she used her fbi phone. Those are not private but a matter of public record.

She got caught and what her and stzok were up to exposed.

She should be lucky she is not sitting in a cell.

The steele report and the constant lying and falsifying of testimony is plenty to hang any of them on federal charges.

So yes leftist continue to lie.

That’s not what the law says. Read the lawsuit. What part of the law as cited does not apply?

There have been TWO major investigations. Quote from either showing wrongdoing if you want. They both found none by Lisa Page.
