The Numbers
■ 266,000 jobs were added in November. Analysts had expected a gain of about 180,000, according to MarketWatch.

■ The unemployment rate was 3.5 percent, down from the previous month.

■ Average hourly earnings rose 0.2 percent, with a year-over-year gain of 3.1 percent.

The Takeaway
The return of tens of thousands of striking workers to their jobs at General Motors helped supercharge hiring totals last month.

The reassuring jobs report, released Friday morning by the Labor Department, offered a counterpoint to renewed anxieties about an escalating trade war and a weakening global economy.

What to Expect From the November Jobs Report - The New York Times

Job, jobs, jobs, more jobs under the Trump administration.

payrolls up
jobless rate lowest since 1969
The underemployment rate fell.

Our economy is strong headed for 2020!

Why were those same numbers and higher never good under Obama but now they suddenly are?

Isn't this a good thing?

Isn't this a good thing?

It is a great thing but Democrats are too busy talking about impeachment. Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi are unhinged. Biden is yelling at farmers. Pelosi is talking praying for the president. My question, what exactly is she praying about?

Why were those same numbers and higher never good under Obama but now they suddenly are?
Because Obama was black and blue and Trump is white and red.

Two reasons, obama is a democrat and he's black. Last day of the obama administration, the economy sucks as far as republicans are concerned even though W left the country in a wreck for obama. First day of trump administration, economy is great.

Lemmings.

Ignoring what racists say;

Obama And The Dem's Dismal Recovery

The Obama recovery of the last seven years remains the worst in postwar American history.

We really need to look at the kinds of jobs that are being created. A recently article came out showing that nearly half of Americans are working in low wage jobs (Almost half of all Americans work in low-wage jobs - CBS News).

So yes, while people are getting jobs, if they are such as the aforementioned, it doesn't mean much.

Lol! So basically a bunch of people who already had jobs but had to go on strike to get a pay raise went back to work, and you're counting those people as new hires while giving credit to someone who hates unions.

Jobs added from January-November:
2012: 1937
2013: 2235
2014: 2737
2015: 2449
2016: 2103

2017: 1979
2018: 2452
2019: 1976

So, President Obama created more jobs in every year of his second term than we have so far this year, but he did it while reducing the deficit instead of increasing it.

Bwhahahahahahahaha!!!! Yeah, because The Bush Economic Disaster was the worst in postwar American history.

Also, I love how you say postwar as if we're not fighting any of those anymore.

Please tells us. If Obama's recovery was so bad why are you so happy that Trump is creating fewer jobs than Obama?

You would rather them being in food stamp lines.

Middle-Class Incomes Surging – Thanks to Trump Policies

The latest Census Bureau Current Population Survey data now show that middle-class incomes, after adjusting for inflation, have surged by $5,003 since Donald Trump became president in January 2017. Median household income has now reached $65,976 – an all-time high and up more than 8 percent in 2019 dollars under the Trump presidency.

A low-paying full-time job is better than a low-paying part-time job.

Obama encouraged part-time jobs with his laws and regs.

Well, when the Democrats pushed through their "loan money to people who don't qualify" plan, lots of jobs were lost as the predictable day or reckoning arrived.

When it comes to job creation, I recognize it's over the head of most liberals, but when the economy begins to recover, and lost jobs begin to return, the numbers are going to reflect that.

To dumb it down to a level liberals can understand, if you had to lay off 10 of 20 employees, and you hired those 10 back, did you create 10 new jobs, or did you just refill the jobs that were there before?

U.S. Adds 266,000 Jobs in November

More bad news for the Democrat-Socialists. EVERYTHING in the economy is looking fantastic as Trump continues to Keep America Great. Things are already good and just keep getting better. Everyday. EVERYDAY!

In the mean time, the Democrat-Socialists continue to lie, deceive, distract, deflect and disdain.

Lowest unemployment in 50 years. Wage rates up 3.1% and rising with a bullet. Trump programs work and are working for ALL AMERICANS.

Watching the Fake News Guys "report" on Trump is like watching a home sports reporter saying that the winless home team is among the best in the country.

The U.S. economy blew away expectations, adding 266,000 jobs in November, boosted by resolution of the General Motors (GM) strike. The jobs report showed private-sector payrolls grew by 254,000 workers, including roughly 46,000 returning GM employees. Average hourly wage growth came in at 3.1%, also better than expected. The jobless rate matched a 50-year-low 3.5%. After the robust November jobs report, Dow Jones industrial average and broader stock market futures pointed to a strong open, helped by positive China trade news.

Obama encouraged part-time jobs with his laws and regs.

But the thing is that a low paying full time job doesn't help with the overall economy as the people who are working these jobs still qualify for public assistance.

You would rather them being in food stamp lines.

No, I wouldn't rather them be in line for food stamps. The fact of the matter is that the wages being paid are so low that even if people are working, they are still eligible for food stamps, which should be a problem for those fiscal hawks.

With regards to Obama, there is blame to go around, as not only it was recently found that 63% of jobs created since 1990 have been "low wage, low-hour jobs." (American jobs are getting worse, a new index shows) So what we are looking at isn't just the problems the Obama administration helped to perpetuate, but structural issues within our economy.

Ocare tended to do that.

That damn Trump. He’s got to go. Pretty soon only thing left of the democrats will be the homeless.

Because those numbers were coming off a Great Recession where it was 'easy pickins' whereas today we are in what is considered more than full employment and job growth like this is incredibly hard to achieve.

If trump gets the trade wars negotiated you may be right. Otherwise, you and I will continue to be taxed through tariffs. A tariff operates like a sales tax. If you can show when, or even how, raising the cost of goods through taxation ever contributed to economic growth, I'd appreciate it.
