U.S. Added 266,000 Jobs in November; Unemployment at 3.5%

Karma's a real bitch for the Democrats who are seeking to impeach a very successful president during one of the best economies ever.

That may be the point or part of the angst with the lunatic left. The establishment doesn’t want a non politician coming in and succeeding.

Jobs are good, but some of you guys need stop pretending like this is monumental stuff.
Why? For most of us, the current jobs numbers are the best in our lifetime.

It's clear what they want. Control.
Don't all authoritarian illiberals?

I don't understand why dems want the establishment back in office. I always thought they said they were against the corrupt system too. Boy I was wrong.

The establishment on both sides want control. They think the WH belongs to them, not an outsider.

Re: U.S. Adds 266,000 Jobs in November

I don't understand why you posted what you did. We did have a comparable trend of job numbers each month under Obama. You guys turned up your noses at these numbers every single month.

I didn't.

And you need to factor in the holidays which are temporary hires.

"Retailers added just 2,000 new jobs a month before the holiday shopping season."

Sourced above.

And you need to factor in the holidays which are temporary hires.

It’s already factored in: the official numbers are seasonally adjusted to account for regularly occurring trends. The unadjusted increase in jobs was +622,000 and was adjusted down to +266,000

How is that in any way applicable to this situation? He has lower numbers than the previous boss. Jobs are good, but some of you guys need to stop pretending like this is monumental stuff.

Trump is a fighter for the working class, the average joe. Obama was a fighter for the fat cats on wall street. Look at where Obama just bought his mansion, Martha's Vinyard. Ya, Obama is for the common man.

We are talking about facts. Jobs growth = facts. Job growth shows economic prosperity. Democrats meanwhile are descending into madness by discussing impeachment. Who the hell cares!

How does returning striking workers count as new jobs?

I found that out recently. Apparently striking workers count as unemployed, meaning if the strike is for an extended period, they count as job losses then gains. (States like Michigan will also pay full unemployment benefits while they are on strike). It's the same issue (in reverse) with non-seasonal temporary workers, like census workers, where the jobs were never going to be permanent.

Personally, I think both of these are silly, but at least they do account separately for the jobs, so they can explain some of the month-to-month variation they cause.

This is accounted for, as are outside construction jobs that disappear in the winter. ("seasonal adjustment")

Re: U.S. Adds 266,000 Jobs in November

Are you suggesting jobs weren't being created?

No, quite clearly he's suggesting that Obama already had the economy on the road to recovery. Please remove the Trumper glasses and reread the post to which you attempted to respond.

What to Expect From the November Jobs Report - The New York Times

Job, jobs, jobs, more jobs under the Trump administration.

payrolls up
jobless rate lowest since 1969
The underemployment rate fell.

Our economy is strong headed for 2020!
I still don't buy all the hyperbole of Trump's economy over Obama's, but I do admit this is a good report. More importantly, it casts doubts upon the recent slowdown of the previous months before the last several weeks.

We need to impeach this president! Seriously though, this reminds of a boss I had once who had turned the company around, giving them the highest sales and profits they had ever had and then they fired him because they wanted the company to go in a different direction. They succeeded.

I don't know what happened with your company, but if the word from management was as you say, that could likely mean "he did something, and we're keeping it a secret."

True, but monumental would be going from 10% unemployment to the current rate. What we are seeing follows the trend line Trump inherited, combined with supply-side policy. The economy is pretty close to what we'd expect under these circumstances. Certainly something to celebrate but not monumental.

The democrats want to go a diferent dirrection than that of the duely elected President and believe they should be able to fire him for the wrong direction.

Remember Paul Krugmans predictions upon Trumps election of what we should expect under these circumstances? GLOBAL recession. Id say unemployment rates not seen in 50 years and increases in real wages not seen in decades is monumental in comparison to what was predicted.
