I am interested to know more about Melania, and the marriage. I don't much believe the Free Melania stuff though. I think she is a Trump and a gold digger, and is there enabling, lying, and covering for most of them, especially Donald. I don't trust her. I don't think she needs freed or saved. I don't think she looks happy, but neither does Donald.

Exactly. She's a Trump. And even worse, she's voluntarily a Trump! Think about that? Her "I really don't care" garment when she visited the kids Trump was taking was no 'mistake'. She knew what she was doing. She's one of them.

She got what she wanted from the marriage, and my guess is that she went into it with her eyes wide open. She wanted a luxury lifestyle, future financial security, a child bearing Trump's name to share in the inheritance, she wanted her parents at the top of the "chain immigration" green-card list... and she got it all. :shrug:

I don't bear her any ill will; as long as she conducts herself appropriately as first lady, I won't be casting any stones at her personally. Then again, I've never let my political opinion of various presidents affect my opinion about their wives. Most first ladies in my lifetime have been admirable and above reproach. Melania doesn't quite reach that bar in my opinion, but so far I have no complaints about her public behavior; she's done a pretty good job for a political neophyte, actually.

Thing is, it's hard to feel good about her for being part of this MAGA administration. If she remains with Trump after he's out of office, she will be accepting his values and his actions and all he did. And straight-up, I'll have no respect for her - just like I have no respect for the rest of Trump's MAGA cohorts.

I always think of her wearing that, I really don’t care jacket after visiting the kids in boarder camps. I did find it disgusting, because that was the biggest statement she made. She never said anything about the kids, nor showed concern for their well being. I really don’t care, sums up Melania for me. I don’t think she cares what her husband is doing to this country, and I am not even sure she cares what he does to her reputation.

I actually have no respect for anyone, male or female, who marries strictly for money, knowing that their spouse is a lying, cheating, and thoroughly loathsome human being. Bottom line, the WH was never anything she wanted, and so far she's making the best of it. Guess the money makes it worth it; me, I wouldn't have done it for all the money on the planet, but I didn't grow up in her shoes, so... :shrug: ... I'll just be glad when her husband is out of office, and won't really be sparing another thought about her when that happens.

Thinking about your posts with SheWolf and Chomsky, she comes off like a Mafia-wife, almost walking trance-like through her life and compartmentalizing her feelings, while reaping the benefits.

Yeah, I think that's fair.

But let me ask you this? Do you remember when she visited the kids Trump took, and wore her "I really don't care - do you?" jacket? I find it hard to believe that was not MAGA choreographed. And I found it despicable, to be honest. Trump may have put her up to it, but she still did it. For all we know, she may have relished it. And while watching Trump's actions and speech concerning immigration, knowing she and her family benefited from those vary policies that Trump derides in a virtually sadistic manner, I just can't take her as anything but another Trumpian tool.

You both could be quite right; in fact, you probably are. Personally, I find Melania the least of my concerns nowadays. She has paid a steep price for the position she holds in the Trump family; I hope it is worth it to her, now and in the future.

Obviously ours (SheWolf & I) are only our opinions, no more than yours. But I'm going with my gut, here. That was a classic Trumpian move, IMO.
 
There's bigger stuff happening in the country than the president's gold-digger trophy wife and her fake tits. Just saying.

I honestly don't recall much about that, not when it happened or the circumstances. I certainly don't blame anyone who does recall for being furious and holding it against her. I'm certainly not trying to "stick up" for her. She made her bed, and now she literally has to lay in it. I'm just not going to tar her for her husband's behavior; she chose him. Now she has to live with it, and frankly I don't care enough about her to give it much thought.

I'm kinda sorry I responded in this thread, to be honest, lol! I didn't think not giving a damn about Melania Trump one way or the other would put a target on my forehead! :lol:

I wonder if she really thinks the money is worth it, because she doesn’t look happy. She was already in America when she met him too. It’s not like he was her way to America. She had options... :lol:

Knowing she is an immigrant in the White House, it kind of bothers me seeing her attitude. I couldn’t imagine that. It would be incredible. I would see that opportunity so different than her. I agree, she looks like she doesn’t want it. I can’t believe it on a personal level.

If the book is right, she has made her bed on the 3rd floor. Melania will survive, either as an ex or a regent for her son.

The tell will be when Trump's out of office. Does she stay with him? If she leaves him, the wealth she will be entitled to will allow her to have the best security to be had. Trump will not be able to hurt her, and she (and he) will remain in the public eye. There will be no reason to stay with him, besides that she willingly wants to. So let's see her mettle, and where her values lie?

I am not interested in attacking her. I just don’t think she is a trapped victim needing to be freed. I think she is fine with Donald’s politics

How do you know she is entitled to any wealth? I bet she has a non disclosure agreement with Donald. Knowing Donald, he would also try to take all the assets and business shares if she leaves.

I don’t think he would let her leave easily.
