Kellogg joins GLAAD for anti-bullying campaign with All Together cereal - CNN
(CNN) Raisin Bran, Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies, Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops and Frosted Mini Wheats in the same box?

The new concoction isn't just a kid's breakfast dream -- it's an anti-bullying campaign.

Kellogg's is partnering with GLAAD, an LGBTQ media advocacy organization, to release a cereal called "All Together," mixing cereals and their mascots to support anti-bullying and LGBTQ advocacy work.
Good for Kellogg’s supporting a worthy and noble cause. I do give it a few posts til’ the regulars chime in with their usual nonsense and whine about how they’re protesting and throwing out their Kellogg’s cereal.

My only problem with anti bullying is that its gone to the extreme. In CT, at least. Bump a kid in the hallway, kid doesn't like it? Detention for bullying. Play a little rough at recess, and midway in, a kid gets hurt? Detention, parents are called in to sit with the principle, possible expulsion.

Further, it makes it impossible for kids to defend themselves. True story, my daughter, a few years back, pushed a boy who tripped her in the hallway. Boy fell over, cried. Its on camera. Both got into huge trouble, I had to leave work, etc.

I'm not against the idea of cracking down on bullying. But we're tossing the kids out with the bath water, here, sometimes.

So they're going to teach tots about the wonders of homosexuality by combining six different cereals into an inedible mess and running ads where Toucan Sam marries Tony the Tiger?

Sounds like something a 21st Century multinational would do.

I'm surprised "All Together" won out over "Climate Crisis Flakes" as a name.

Only took a couple of posts for the idiots to come out!

More like LGBTQ advocacy disguised as a anti bullying campaign. Fat kids are probably bullied 10 times as often as LGBTQ kids

What does this have to do with anti-bullying campaigns?

The advertisement is extremely disturbing and promotes archaic ideas about women's bodies. It is a tragedy that all the work to help young girls and women make peace with their anatomy in a world that presents images of unattainable and airbrushed beauty is being undone. Young women are now being told that if they are uncomfortable with their breasts (very common for females) they should strap them down to appear male - or androgynous. Those who feel they have no gender also sometimes bind. It is a huge step back for women. At some point there will be a reckoning and people who promoted this will realize the damage that has been done and how *regressive* these ideas actually are. These young women cannot change their sex and presenting themselves as male will only further disconnect them from their biological reality. At some point we all need to make peace with our bodies and for women that can be most challenging. Society allowing more room for people to dress as they want and not conform to sex stereotypes would go a long way in helping us move through this current phenomenon and minimize harm.

Regardless, companies like sprite, Gillette and others are merely exploiting the social contagion (which has exploded in adolescent females) and have no understanding of the issues and what is at stake.

Placing inamimate objects (like cereal boxes or bags) of various flavors together (on the same shelf) has been going on in grocery stores for decades. IMHO, doing this forced "diversity" will likely have the opposite effect: kid's tend to like some specific flavors of cereal more than others resulting in the least "yummy" among those mini-boxes, forced to be purchased as a fixed (properly diverse?) set, being left uneaten and to be tossed in the garbage (bullied?).

This wasteful sales technique requires more packaging being used for the same amount (net weight) of cereal purchased. I see this as simply a way for the cereal maker to entice folks buy more of their cereal and nothing more.

A picky eater or OCD suffers worst nightmare.

I’m not sure I would of liked this as a kid wasn’t a fan of Rice Crispy because they got soggy too quick and never cared for the taste of Mini Wheats. But hey if Kellogg can make a buck selling this to suckers willing to buy it more power to them. Seems more like a marketing gimmick than any heart felt concern and will probably have Little or No impact on the issues it’s supposedly addressing. Parents and home environment have more of an impact than cereal on how kids treat people.

Really stupid and likely quite expensive advertising campiagns abound. I found this gem to be one of the dumbest:

I guess I lucked out. "The uploader has not made this video available in your country."

Please tell me it's not an ad campaign urging people not to be so down on methamphetamine addicts.

Isn't this just a box with 4 boxes of different cereals inside? Could swear that's what I saw on the shelf recently.
