Most Americans break with Trump on Ukraine, but just 45 percent think he should be removed: poll

Quid-pro-quo = bribery, which is specifically listed in the Constitution as an impeachable offense.

You're the one who started the thread that said only 45% of Americans think he should be removed from office.

Have you (or Trump) ever read the Constitution? Bribery is an impeachable offense.

All you guys ever do is say Trump could have done this, could have done that, might have done this, would have done that, maybe did this, possibly did that. The aid was given and Biden was never investigated. You can only make your conclusion of bribery by filling in the dots you want to fill in. Even if you fill in the dots YOUR way it only comes out to attempted bribery where Trump apparently changed his mind, not actual bribery and that is with you filling in your own dots. Sometimes I think about robbing a bank but I never did it.

Lol ! That is a LIE and you know it

14 million people each day is NOT two thirds of the population. It's less than 5% per hearing.

That means 95% of the population are NOT watching the hearing.

The Democrats and the MSM are just pissing people off at this point. The American people are NOT that stupid

Go back and read the damn article posted by the OP. Assuming that is that you can. That was part of the questions posed by the poll takers. Your 14 million television ratings figure means absolutely nothing. There many other live streaming sources on social media and radio broadcasts too that people can peruse. There's no Nielsen-like way to measure cumulative viewership on the web and listeners on radio. Many news stations reported strong overnight ratings meaning that lot of people were checking in on their favorite channels later in the day well after the live hearings have ended to get the spin on them.

I didn't read the article yet, but I can understand the title might be true. Americans were indoctrinated by the news media that the Ukraine was deserving to be part of the EU. Nothing is farther from the truth. They are a very corrupt government. So corrupt that Crimea voted to leave them and join the corrupt Russians.

Did you say that with a straight face?

More people watched Michael Cohen testify than watched any one day of the impeachment hearings.

The Democrats already had a credibility problem going into this impeachment hearing, and to make matters worse they allowed the Adam Schiff of all people to run the hearings.

No one cares, no one's interested.

That's where I stand, added to the fact that Democrats have been abusing their power to get Trump for three years now so they have a lot of nerve impeaching Trump for what they claim is an abuse of power. I have zero sympathies for the Democrats. When this fails they've got several more things up and coming. They have found a person they don't like and they will continue investigating until they find a crime. In the end Trump will wind up being the most squeaky clean president the country has ever had because everything he did in life will be investigated and nothing will come of any of it.

Trump is the most corrupt President in history and that is why he is being impeached. You all know this but don't care. Sad. Presidents cannot be indicted but after he is out of office watch out.

Again that means absolutely nothing. People are interested and it's becoming crystal clear with each subsequent witness that it's the President and his associates that have a huge credibility problem that growing worse with each passing day.

Maybe not in Trump Fan Nation, but in civilized America, most Americans work and can't sit around watching television all day. Maybe you and Mr. Baker need a lesson in how this country works.

What I found interesting is the commentary around it being boring. These are political proceedings; not a Marvel movie. If the GOP representatives stated it was boring, then I'd say they think your average American is a moron and can't be bothered to listen through testimony.

Believe as you wish.

My viewpoint is they all have a level of corruption. But I doubt he is the worse by far. As much as the democrats hate him and have dug for dirt, this is all they got? He is probably the least corrupt.

I agree that Trump's corruption cannot reach the level of Putin and his oligarchs but that is because this is America not Moscow. He's a wannabe Putin though. I just saw him blame CNN for worrying his family because of his unscheduled, unannounced, totally spontaneous trip to the hospital that he apparently didn't even inform his wife about. He really still does not have a clue what being a President entails. He is a sure winner of the worst President ever and the history books will have an * next to his name lest we forget just how the influence of a foreign power has put his very legitimacy in doubt. I believe as time goes by Trump will be deemed a Manchurian Candidate who won illegally because Russian meddling.

Most Americans break with Trump on Ukraine, but just 45 percent think he should be removed: poll | TheHill

A wide majority of Americans in a new poll say that President Trump's actions involving Ukraine and former Vice President Joe Biden were "unacceptable," but most do not want him removed from office.

In an NPR-Marist College poll published Tuesday, 70 percent of respondents said that Trump was wrong to solicit a Ukrainian criminal investigation into Biden and his son Hunter Biden, as the former vice president mounts a 2020 presidential bid.

I think most of the dissenters are the ones who never took Latin & have no idea what quid-pro-quo means.

Ipsos has that 45% number as 51%.

Keep in mind, he isn't part of their Kabal. He didn't go to their schools, he didn't join their secret societies, he was never part of their elite crowd. Politicians from both sides want him out, because he cramps their control over us people.

Dear Axios:
Thanks for the headline that reads
"This Week's Impeachment Game"
Now that I know that you think impeachment is a game, I'll know better than to read anything you have to say about it.

Oh lookie...some time between 5:00 AM and this evening, they changed the title to

"The schedule for this week's impeachment hearings"

LOL You mean he was not welcome in "polite society" because of his habit of welching on obligations and his association with gangsters, Russian mobsters and pedophiles. That makes him good for the country? You can't be real

I think that it's a great idea to allow presidents to extort foreign countries for personal gain. What could possibly go wrong? I wonder which country the next Democratic president should extort.
Well Biden already extorted the Ukraine and his son sold influence in China so somewhere like Uzbekistan could be next.

These numbers show that a significant number of Americas have already decided Trump acted wrongly. Now they simply must be convinced it was a crime and he should suffer conviction by the Senate. And that is the purpose of the rest of the process and trial.

I believe this is a hopeful sign.

Moreover, there was no internet when Nixon's impeachment hearings aired. The internet was in it's infancy during Clinton. The Kavanugh hearings were salacious, so people tuning in.

The idea that ratings are what's important to determine public sentiment means to many bought into Trump's TV ratings nonsense.

What do you expect when people support a man whose entire life has been nothing but a reality TV game show?

I watched some last night - saw Volker and Morrison. I think these hearings are anything BUT boring.

Most dissenters are the ones who will re-elect him unless the democrats get their house in order.

Dude, have you been sleeping. Quid pro quo is out, now it's bribery. You should concentrate on the now, not the yesterday.

Wow, another Conservative Russia supporter. When did you guys change? When did you start trusting Putin? As a general rule, if Russia holds anything involving voting, the result is always
+90% in favor of what Putin wants the result to be. In this case 95.5%.

Don't be afraid to do a little critical thinking.
