Fox's Neil Cavuto rips into Trump over attacks on Chris Wallace's impeachment coverage | TheHill

Fox News' Neil Cavuto on Monday launched into a blistering critique of President Trump over his attacks against "Fox News Sunday" anchor Chris Wallace, saying that journalists are "obligated to question" the president and his defenders, even if it means "inviting your wrath."

Cavuto made the statements just a day after Trump blasted Wallace as "nasty and obnoxious" following an interview in which the Fox News anchor repeatedly pressed House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) over the House's impeachment inquiry into Trump's dealings with Ukraine.

Cavuto might wind up spending time playing golf with Shep Smith.

Actually........quite a few people attacked Chris Wallace on the issue.

BUT BUT BUT...............................Trump!

The authoritarian psychology of the True Believer is such that you can march shoulder to shoulder with them on 999 straight days but if you dissent on day 1,000 and find fault with them - you are castigated to the nether regions of Hades and are viewed as a heretic. People at FOX are finding this lesson out the hard way with Trump.

Man, if only we could figure out what the difference between Trump and a random private citizen is.

I bet if you thought really hard you might be able to make an educated guess.

Does the navy train people to shout "DERP!" at their perceived enemies if all the ammo is used up?

From OP link:

“What makes something fake news?" Cavuto asked on Fox News. "I would assume if the news being reported is fake or wrong, and the person presenting that news knows it is fake or wrong that is bad. But what if the news being reported is accurate? The facts are good, they just sound bad?" "My colleague Chris Wallace has discovered again the president doesn’t distinguish," Cavuto added, before noting that Wallace's interview with Scalise caused an "apparently furious" Trump to lash out at the broadcaster.

Cavuto went to note that Scalise has gained Trump's support given his consistent defense of the president on matters related to impeachment. "Let’s just say [Trump] doesn’t like Chris for challenging Scalise on that," Cavuto said, pointing to the questioning the Republican congressman received on Sunday.

:thinking

OK, I can see why you got so upset. I think it's an absurd reason to get upset, but I at least see why it happened.

Yes, "BUT trump" indeed. Because trump is supposed to uphold the dignity of the office of POTUS, not behaving like a school-girl who's friend betrayed a secret.

It must be tough for people like you to have to continue to attempt to spray perfume on turds.

Skkkalise has his own white nationalist baggage, making him attractive to Trump and SStephen Miller.

Too bad there are no provisions in the Constitution to recall traitorous Senators like Johnson, Graham, and McConnell, along with the entire Freedumb Circus in the House.

Graham and McConnell are vulnerable right now. Both have serious Democratic challengers this upcoming cycle. I wonder what weasels like them will do if they lose?

Chris Wallace repeatedly asked a hypothetical question - "if a witness A said X then what would be your response" is a question that most would find difficult to answer.

I agree with Harrison in SC. McGrath has a tougher road in KY. Obviously AZ and CO look good. Dynamics in IA and ME are tough. I would have preferred that these GOP Senate cowards had been forced to vote on CENSURE, a much tougher vote for them imo.

North Carolina is my ground zero across the board. DEMs need to flip 4 seats in either the State House or State Senate to have a seat at the redistricting table. The governor’s race will be close, but he has no veto power in NC on remaps. Both parties have primaries for the Senate seat, especially Sen. Tillis.

And, the RNC convention is in Charlotte, 6 weeks after the DNC convention in Milwaukee. No one wants to discuss the DNC having a brokered convention, but it’s going to happen, imho.

I see your pendulum always swings to the right when it counts for your republicans.

Well forgive me if I expect just a tad more decorum from the President than the average person.....so yes, “but trump” .... because he is the damn President.
