Trump attacks ambassador on Twitter as she testifies

Another gem on his twitter feed this morning:

Donald J. Trump
‏@realDonaldTrump

We have vacancies in various departments because we do not want or need as many people as past administrations (and save great cost), and also, the Democrats delay the approval process to levels unprecedented in the history of our Country!

8:21 AM - 15 Nov 2019

Yes folks, even though illegal immigration is turrrible he doesn't really need, or want, a confirmed DHS head and even if he did, it's those pesky Democrats holding it back.

 Who really believes that crap??

Right. LOL
Great we will impeach a president because someone’s feelings are hurt. She FELT threatened. She didn’t like how Trump was bad mouthing her. OMG is that all you have, good luck.
I say let’s get to the vote and onto the senate where they will conduct a real trial, not a fishing expedition in hopes of finding something.

don't forget, she didn't go to parties and had to move 13 times...such a hero!

Probably worth it's own thread, actually, a whole new subject opened by his big mouth

Can you quote Trump saying she is responsible for Somalia falling apart?

But hey...spin is spin, right?

Unless I misunderstood the prez, it was in the quote of Trump, who put her down and mentioned Somalia as one of her failures. “She started off in Somalia, how did that go?”

Good post.
What I would like to ask Trump is if what he says is true about "save great cost", then why is the debt at all time high?

His tweets are enough that I want him out.

So...he did NOT say "she is responsible for Somalia falling apart".

Another, more realistic, spin might be, "She wasn't very effective in Somalia."

But hey...as a liberal Trump haters, I'm sure you'll go with spin that meets your desired narrative.

C'mon, you can't see the implied statement? You are gonna go based on exact wording when it was obviously only worth typing out to imply responsibility?

"implies" = "spin"

I'm not interested in spin. And yes...I tend to go with "exact wording" instead of "what I think it means".

Thanks, but the person to whom I asked that question already answered me...and I've presented my response.

You are dismissed. (see my sig)
Obviously, it is Orangetans' spin that things fell apart in Somalia when she was stationed there. Your doubts about that are dismissed.

Don't get me wrong with this, I got nothing against ya, but I've seen you take the opposite tact when Obama gave his rather divisive speeches where he couched his class warfare gas lighting in political statements and such

I personally couldn't care less that Trump mouthed off for the ten thousandth time, but we gotta be consistent

My personal point of contention is that there is no threat in what he said, he was just striking out at the person who was busy talking trash on him

Could you imagine how much better and smoother his administration would have gone had he learned that lesson previously?

Or had he never taken office.

You know morning after the election he could have announced that he was just kidding and that his buddy Putin without his knowledge was playing for real?!?

Imagine how the truth could have saved us all...

I thought so too and was about to start one then just added it here. I even started to look up all the vacancies so I could list them and I was like yeah I ain't got time for all that!

I honestly don't know how we will ever fix the vacancy problem with things going the way they have been

As a small government fan, I think a deleted post is a good thing, but these empty ones are just becoming a sick joke that are starting to do more and more real damage

Count on Trump to find a way to brag about the quality of failure

...would we have gotten Pence then?

Sounds like Trump is controlling the media coverage once again. They'll be devoting a big chunk of time to tweets tonight rather than parsing testimony. Rather than talking about Yovanovitch putting Trump on the defensive, they'll be defending Yovanovitch from Trump.

...would we have gotten Pence then?

Yeah I guess so ,and that would have been a different set of problems, but for all of pences faults, I don't believe he is a con artist only out for his personal best Interests at heart...

Fair points. But the reason I interpreted it thusly was Trump’s rhetorical question, asked assuming that we all knew about Somalia’s failure as a state. To be fair to Trump, he often doesn’t choose his words carefully.

Trump attacks ambassador on Twitter as she testifies that his words in Ukraine call made her feel threatened

Trump attacks ambassador as she testifies in impeachment hearing

President Donald Trump on Friday lashed out at former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, as she testified in a public impeachment hearing in the House that his words about her in a phone call with the Ukraine president “sounded like a threat. Everywhere Marie Yovanovitch went turned bad,” Trump claimed in a two-part tweet. “She started off in Somalia, how did that go? Then fast forward to Ukraine, where the new Ukrainian President spoke unfavorably about her in my second phone call with him. It is a U.S. President’s absolute right to appoint ambassadors,” the president wrote.

--

Schiff allowed Yovanovitch to respond to the president’s tweets during the hearing Friday, which I thought was pretty awesome.

Also, I just want to say that Yovanovitch is doing a wonderful job with her testimony today. Yovanovitch's professionalism, sincerity, deep knowledge of Ukraine, and her calm and logical demeanor is such a big contrast with the s*** show that is this administration.

Live action witness intimidation. What an idiot. Just some more of that 7th level chess playing I suppose.

thank you
More lies on top of the lies you've already posted.

Why do you constantly refuse to answer simple questions? What is the fear that you have to answer simple questions? Why do you post obvious lies rather than answer simple questions?

I'll ask my questions again, see if you'll answer them:

Do you plan to answer why you think "Bret Baier, Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, former GOP Independent counsel and frequent Fox News contributor Ken Star and former RNC chaiman Michael Steele [are] clear leftists?"?

Also, I'm still waiting for your response to the following questions:

1) Taylor and Kent are witnesses. Why would they have anything to do with the whistleblower? Do you have a non-stupid answer to that question?

2) Is it your position the President of the United States is not beholden to the Constitution of the United States? Because the Consitution clearly says duly elected members of Congress hold the power to impeach the President for wrongdoing.

So which is it? Is our duly elected Congressional representatives following the Constitution a good thing or do you believe the President is greater than the Constitution?

...

I didn't say the President worked for Congress, I asked you if the President should be held responsible to the Consitution, which clearly lays out a path for duly elected members of Congress to impeach if they find wrongdoing.

So, again, is the President beholden to the Constitution or not?

Will you finally answer these questions honestly?

Live action witness intimidation. What an idiot. Just some more of that 7th level chess playing I suppose.

I'm sure it's painful for Trump to watch the Ambassador completely outclass him in every way possible.

Trump hating spin is alive and well. Good thing too, since that's all they have.

The fact is, everything Trump said in that tweet is true. Is the truth intimidating?

LOL Trump has not told the truth since he said he admired leaders who have their jobs for life
.
Calling Chinese President Xi Jinping "a great gentleman" and "the most powerful president in 100 years," Trump suggested that he'd like to follow Xi's example and abolish term limits.
"He's now president for life. President for life. No, he's great," Trump said. "And look, he was able to do that. I think it's great. Maybe we'll have to give that a shot some day."

President for life? Trump says 'maybe we'll have to give that a shot some day'
