Ambassador’s call to Trump from Kyiv restaurant was a stunning breach of security

Twenty five Russians were indicted, half were Russian intelligence agents. Much of Trump's cabinet is in prison for dealing with or lying about Russians. The Mueller report says Trump is guilty of obstruction on at least ten occasions and possibly guilty of criminal conspiracy.

That's nothing?

"Much"? That's a rather large exaggeration, tell me, what's the exact number of cabinet members?

Interesting how it was okay for her, but not okay for him. Hypocrisy much?

If you thought it wasn't okay for Hillary and now you think it's okay for Trump then more hypocrisy to ya.

"Much"? That's a rather large exaggeration, tell me, what's the exact number of cabinet members?

How many is too many for you? Are you counting campaign members and its manager? What about nepotism appointments, do they count?

False. His testimony about Trump is 100% hearsay.

Two witnesses that overheard the phone call say otherwise. David Holmes will be testifying in private tomorrow and Suriya Jayanti just recently came forward as the second witness. They were both sitting at the table with Sondland when he called Trump on July 26 and could hear Trump's voice clear as day.

Your statement was "much of Trump's cabinet" , now you can keep deflecting or admit you exaggerated.

Note that Trump wasn't the one in the restaurant... the Ambassador was. He should have called the president back from a more secure location.

Why? The President did not use a secure phone for months, and even now, is reluctant to let the Secret Service check his phone. He’s gone for as long as five months.

Is it possible Sondland did this specifically to have someone hear it on his side of the line?

More like he is a blowhard; “guess who I just rang up?”

More like he is a blowhard; “guess who I just rang up?”

And then let them hear 45 admitting that he withheld aid to smear Biden ( on most likely a non-secure phone.)

It is much. Some that aren't in prison managed plea deals.

Ive not said any of that.

I dont blame him. Weve been through 3 years of this BS with you guys. He should do nothing to aid the left in Witch Hurt Part II until the courts force him to.

While you call the investigations into Trump a "witch hunt" remember what Mueller said: 'that he did not exonerate the president of obstruction of justice.'

The evidence about the Ukraine is in full view and Trump all but admitted that he extorted/attempted to bribe the Ukraine for personal benefit.

Wow a newby showing up just as the election cycle is about to begin. Now is this a political science class project or are you a paid operative of the DNC? What a bunch of bs and typical leftwing rumors and anti Trump rhetoric. One of these days you radicals are going to have to announce a candidate and let the American people see who you really are, a bunch of socialist wannabees trying to convert this country to that liberal utopia that doesn't exist anywhere else in the world.

All these threads you are starting all anti Trump and all diverting from reality that apparently doesn't exist in your world. Rumors, opinions, and the appearance you care about the rule of law and the Constitution when the reality is you have no interest in the rule of law including the reality that one is innocent until proven guilty in this country, that individuals regardless of the office they hold are entitled to the same freedom of speech protection and that hearsay/opinions not backed by facts never win court cases.

It is going to be a very long year for you as you get your ass handed to you once again in a national election as radicalism will never be accepted in this country or a coup to get rid of a sitting President based upon trumped up charges. By the way you post like someone from California true??

Hannity lied to you. Not everyone who opposes Trump is a radical-socialist-communist-anarchist-antifa-such-and-such.

So using a cell phone from an unprotected location is fine by you on partisan grounds. There's no need to hide calls from the Russians when they are the ones giving the original orders, right?

Dear Manc Skipper: I hate it when my fellow citizens are rude. I want to thank you for your contribution to this forum. And I want you to know I appreciate your input and value the alliance between our countries. I love England and I am treated well every time I go there. Thank you.

Dang, dude, you almost had a worthwhile post and then you fubar'ed it with the Hilary reference. :(

You are basically describing every other post by any Republican during the past 3 years.

It is much. Some that aren't in prison managed plea deals.

Clear evasion. You know you are lying. How many cabinet members are in prison? Give me a number.

It was your criteria, you made a hyperbolic exaggeration, just admit it and move on. Or keep lying, because at this point, you know you are doing so.

You are basically describing every other post by any Republican during the past 3 years.

You're a little confused, most Hilary references in the last few years have been Progs; whenever you guys get backed into a corner or run out of excuses you started screaming "Hilary" or "Benghazi" or both.

Re: Ambassador’s call to Trump from Kyiv restaurant was a stunning breach of security

Zlochevsky left Ukraine in 2014 due to being investigated for all kinds of fraud related to Burisma. He came back to Ukraine in 2018 as the investigations into Burisma had cleared him. He was then caught on tape making some kind of deal with Poroschenko and it seems that he headed for the hills again. His daughter, however, is still on the board. As all this was going on the guy Biden got fired, Viktor Shokin, was replaced by a guy named Lutsenko. Shokin had been canned, presumably, because he failed to investigate Zlochevsky (among others) but his replacement then CLEARED Zlochevsky. Biden was on the Burisma board for the vast majority of the time all this was going on. While we have no specific reason to believe that Biden was involved in any of the Zlochevsky shenanigans his presence on the board and his father's participation in removing Shokin only to have him replaced by a guy that ended up clearing Zlochevsky is well worth taking a look at.

It's highly likely that Lutsenko closed the Zlochevsky case because a UK judge cleared him when he ruled to unfreeze Zlochensky's $23 million due to "inadequate evidence" of money laundering and corruption. So why didn't the UK court have adequate evidence? Because Shokin didn't investigate Burisma at their request, instead he let the case lie dormant during his entire term in office. But what Shokin really did was squash an international effort to help Ukraine recover the money that former Ukraine officials stole.

So with the UK court clearing Zlochensky and the lack of adequate evidence and no Ukraine criminal laws broken, Lutsenko probably didn't see the need to pursue the case further.

The money machine: how a high-profile corruption investigation fell apart | World news | The Guardian

"...Mr. Shokin had dragged his feet into those investigations, Western diplomats said, and effectively squashed one in London by failing to cooperate with U.K. authorities. ... In a speech in 2015, the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Geoffrey Pyatt, called the Ukrainian prosecutor 'an obstacle' to anticorruption efforts..."

Bidens in Ukraine: An Explainer - WSJ

"....In 2015, Shokin became the prosecutor general, inheriting the [Zlochevsky/Burisma] investigation. The Obama administration and other governments and non-governmental organizations soon became concerned that Shokin was not adequately pursuing corruption in Ukraine, was protecting the political elite, and was regarded as "an obstacle to anti-corruption efforts".[16] Among other issues, he was slow-walking the investigation into Zlochevsky and Burisma – to the extent that Obama officials were considering launching their own criminal investigation into the company for possible money laundering.[25]...

Shokin claimed in May 2019 that he had been investigating Burisma Holdings.[13][34][35] However, Vitaly Kasko, who had been Shokin's deputy overseeing international cooperation before resigning in February 2016 citing corruption in the office, provided documents to Bloomberg News indicating that under Shokin, the investigation into Burisma had been dormant.[36][37] Also, the investigation into Burisma only pertained to events happening before Hunter Biden joined the company.[38]..."

Really? Who?

I’m quite sure Sondland called Trump, and Trump called Sondland about this operation regularly.

I doubt that Sondland gave a moment’s thought to security. He’s a hotel guy who got his Ambassadorship by writing a check to a Trump slush fund.

Trump certainly doesn’t think it’s a problem. He continued to use an unsecured phone for months, and rarely has his phone checked for security now.

Besides, Trump wants the Russians to know about it.

Sorry but I find that hard to believe. And I wont believe it until there is some sort of corroborating evidence.

Mueller did exonerate him on the BS collusion charge which is what the three year lie was all about. As for the obstruction, it should be obvious to anyone paying attention that there was nothing there since the dems in the House never acted on it. And as for the second part, Trump admitted to no such thing.
