After a GOP congressman stated the 6th Amendment against hearsay cannot be used to convict, Rep. Mike Quigley tried to say hearsay could be used to convict.
Democratic lawmaker: Hearsay evidence 'can be much better' than direct in some cases

As the article points out, it can't be used to convict but hearsay can be used to support emotional conditions of an individual. That is completely different in what the Democrats are trying to do, convict the President of bribery, extortion and other high crimes and misdemeanors. So, perhaps Democrat Congresspersons should be required to take a refresher class on the Constitution.

Another moment that put Democrats in a tizzy was when Jim Jordan made Taylor admit that he had no knowledge nor anyone else that Trump had made any quid pro quo with the Ukrainian President. Taylor has said he had a "clear" understanding that the release of aid to Ukraine was linked to a request for investigations of former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, and Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian energy company that counted the younger Biden as a board member. Jordan brought up three meetings that Taylor had with Zelensky between the time the aid was delayed and eventually released, and Taylor confirmed that "there was not discussion of linkage" during any of them. - Rep. Jordan chides diplomat on quid pro quo claims: ‘Your clear understanding was obviously wrong’ | Fox News

And, this is how Democrats treat women - Schiff cuts off GOP congresswoman who brings up his 'parody' of Trump-Zelensky call - Schiff cuts off GOP congresswoman who brings up his '''parody''' of Trump-Zelensky call | Fox News
Schiff showed his Communist traits by stopping freedom of speech in the committee hearings lead by Democrats. We now know all we need to know about this hoax scam of an attempted coup of President Trump. Keep going Democrats. Republicans will take back the House and increase numbers in the Senate while Trump wins re-election.

Seems Rep. Quigley is no fan of the US legal system. Perhaps he should consider moving to Russia or North Korea.
Perhaps he'll find those legal systems more to his liking, and more accepting to hearsay evidence to convict people. :shrug:

Does make you wonder if this is a more generally held belief and value of other Democrats. :shrug:

Not sure I want to find out by electing more of them to high office.

Someone told me Rep. Quigley is a common thief. . Mind you I have no direct knowledge but I think that is enough to convict him.:roll:

Adam Schiff is a Pedophile.

I have no proof, but someone heard from someone that some other dude knows it to be true. So...there we have it. Adam Schiff is a pedophile. Arrest him now.

It seems to become a more generally held belief and value of Democrats as a whole. Especially with the young as many now think socialism is a good thing. I would vote for a Democrat right now in any city, county, state or federal election. Too many AO-C's out there.

I've heard from 6 other persons that Schiff got those bug eyes from staring at porn for 6 straight days. :2dancing:

Bully for you, SLC, bully for you.

BTW...Trump is going to be impeached...just like your idol, Bill Clinton. Admit it, deep down you love Slick Willie.

The congressman is wrong.
Hence, the reason for putting counsel Goldman in charge of the most important rounds of questioning - where he was on fire.

The congressman is wrong.

I was listening at work and when he said that I was like.......

In a criminal court of law, if Trump brings Rudy, Pompeo, Mulvaney, or anyone else into his scheme, even if only one other person, it becomes a conspiracy. Hearsay evidence is legit in criminal conspiracy cases. But impeachment is not a criminal case - the bar is even lower. In fact, the bar is whatever political opinion makes of it.

Schiff = Scum

Democrats = Criminally insane

Yep, and the jury (being the US Senate) is known to be heavily biased, thus even proof of guilt, including a confession to felony perjury, is not apt to result in removal from office. If one wants to avoid the appearance of a conspiracy then it's wise not to start talking about the goal of impeachment three years before presenting the articles of impeachment. ;)

There, fixed that for ya'.

Too many AOC's out there. That's for sure. Happens when you allow the education system to become a liberal / progressive indoctrination centers.

May the Federal judges recently elevated to the federal bench out last this latest idiocy unleashed from the left.

Imagine that. Mere hours after his inauguration, but I'll bet it was on the lips and in the minds of Democrats everywhere about 5 nanoseconds after the election was called.

Of course it was and there were few attempts to hide it. Not that most republicants are any less biased since they approve of Trump using executive power to make and/or avoid laws.

True on both counts. I'll add a third: Sometimes Trump and his big NY mouth is his own worst enemy.

The reason it's AO-C is because her last name is hyphenated. Alexander Ocasio-Cortez
The left is really out in left field now. Did you hear that idiotic obtuse congressman say hearsay is better than direct witness? Obtuse liberals.

I think you are mixing up law with proper order of things. The Constitution says Trump has all authority to change foreign policy anytime he wants too. He also can fire a diplomat anytime he wants to for any reason. There might be old proticol for how the State Department is to work. But, the President can change that at any time. That includes using a personal attorney or a friend to go and discuss foreign affairs with foreign leaders. FDR did this because some of his State Department and ambassadors were pro-Hitler. Look it up.

Disagree. The Constitution demands impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors. Crimes. It's up to Congress to decide if the farce rises to the level of a high crime or misdemeanor. Stop listening to Joy Behar and the View and CNN for your legal understanding. And, a committee of people does not automatically mean a conspiracy. There has to be a crime. So far, there is none. Just insane obtuse Democrats.

Agreed. Absolutely clearly apparent to anyone who pays the slightest bit of attention and has a functioning brain.

Mental contortions and rationalizations in support of the demanded and required political narratives, regardless of their being illogical and devoid of facts or evidence.

It sort of happens when all those unyielding forces collide. Kinda pops people's heads off (not literally) causing them to spout all sorts of nonsense.
To be fair, there are situations where GOP politicians find themselves in the same situation.
