WASHINGTON – Stephen Miller, a senior White House policy adviser, pushed white-nationalist material to staffers at Breitbart, a right-wing conservative website, through 2015 and leading up to the 2016 election, according to a report published by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The report released by the SPLC is the first installment in a series. More than 900 emails between Miller and Breitbart were examined by SPLC’s Hatewatch and revealed “more than 80 percent” of the emails “relate to or appear on threads relating to the subjects of race or immigration.”

Emails show White House Advisor Stephen Miller tauting white nationalism

Stephen Miller emailed Breitbart 900+ times from 2015-2016 to lay out his anti-immigrant policies. His source material included:

-White nationalist websites

-A “white genocide”-themed novel

Trump's zombies don't care. Some will openly applaud. Some will deny it and say "fake news", and the rest will acknowledge it but play it down.

Why not just release the emails and let people make up their own minds? That story had ZERO evidence, all conjecture and speculation.

It very well could be that it is DEAD ON ACCURATE....but until they let people actually see the emails to make up their own mind, they are simply trying to tell people how to think.

Here's a smattering of the e-mails:

The SPLC is not known for objectivity or accuracy. I won't characterize what they are known for, but it isn't promoting positive values. It's nore along the lines of initiating rumors and attempting to force a defensive reaction from their targets, which is just peachy and entirely ethical. Ask yourself exactly what the objective might be in publishing a "hate map".

Let me guess, all of those Jews, blacks and whites at the SPLC are anti-white?

So the e-mails are fake because of the source?

"What you're seeing and what you're hearing is not what's happening'' again? Even EMAILS are now fake?

No, but unless they actually release all the emails, then it's very likely they are framing them in a negative way.

They want to make a series on it, fine, they can release all the emails, and summarize them in 50 email slots, or 100 etc,

But to pick and choose what to release, and how to frame it, that's not journalism, that is the definition of a political hit job.

I mean, isn't that the DEFINITION of journalistic editing? If you got 56,000 e-mails from me and 55,999 were fine and one was me trying to coordinate a coup against the government, would you say it's a hit job because ''how about all the nice e-mails about basketball I sent?" ?

Also, the 'how to frame thing' is really irrelevant. Unless they distort and edit the information (which is reprehensible, of course), the e-mails speak for themselves. If they're fine, they're fine, no matter the headline. There's a lot of exxageration from the left, I agree.

Agree, but the way it is now, they are editorializing the emails, how do we know what context that email is in? Or what it's on response to, if they leave that information out,

Show the entire email, if there's 900 BAD GOD AWFUL OMG emails, show them. If you want to string it out, that's fine, but SHOW them. Let people decide on their own, if it's bad, awful etc.

They did it this way and now everyone is clamoring for the guy's job, rightly or wrongly, but based on an EDITORIAL, they are asking fora guy to be fired.

About the SPLC

Fighting Hate:

The SPLC is the premier U.S. non-profit organization monitoring the activities of domestic hate groups and other extremists – including the Ku Klux Klan, the neo-Nazi movement, neo-Confederates, racist skinheads, black separatists, antigovernment militias, Christian Identity adherents and others. We’re currently tracking more than 1,600 extremist groups operating across the country. We publish investigative reports, train law enforcement officers and share key intelligence, and offer expert analysis to the media and public.

Teaching Tolerance:

Teaching Tolerance provides free resources to educators—teachers, administrators, counselors and other practitioners—who work with children from kindergarten through high school. These resources include classroom lessons, webinars, grants, podcasts, policy guides and much more. Educators use our materials to supplement the curriculum, to inform their practices, and to create civil and inclusive school communities where children are respected, valued and welcome participants.

Seeking Justice:

The SPLC stands up for the powerless, the exploited and other victims of discrimination and hate. For more than four decades, we’ve won landmark cases that brought systemic reforms in the Deep South. We’ve toppled remnants of Jim Crow segregation and destroyed violent white supremacist groups. We’ve shattered barriers to equality for women, vulnerable children, the LGBT community and the disabled. We’ve protected migrant workers and immigrants from abuse, ensured the humane treatment of prisoners, reformed juvenile justice practices, and more.

I mean, honestly, how can you not like the SPLC....unless you're a jerk who hates gay people and minorities. Are you a jerk who hates gay people and minorities?

People jump to conclusions all the time, I don't really worry about that. As far as I know, it's, as you said, part of a series, and much more information is coming out. And as you said yourself, some of it is just fine (as in normal conversation), so if they're just selecting the bad stuff, they're doing a bad job at it.

There is a LOT of bad stuff there, I've now read it all. A lot of basic conversations also, btw. They can try to paint it as something worse, but the same way you and I decided on our own which parts are bad and which parts are fine, other people can do as well. I don't see their 'format' as limiting the information or preventing people from making rational judgements. It's just that stupid people will jump to conclusions without reading it, but that happens on eery single piece of news.

Let me answer that for you.

He believes they are a crazy left wing propaganda machine for the Democrats, funded by Soros.

What's funny is that, even if all that were true, the e-mails are still legit. You can say they're fine, you can say they're career-ending, but they're REAL. Who cares about the source? Their editorializing is irrelevant, ignore it, I did.

That's what those who live in the cult of Trump don't get; attacking the source/discrediting the messenger doesn't change the facts AT ALL. The whistleblower being Barack Obama doesn't change the fact that what was said was corroborated by multiple sources. SPLC could be run by Glen Greenwald (who I despise, btw) and the communist party of the US, if the e-mails are real, they're real.

Trump's zombies don't care. Some will openly applaud. Some will deny it and say "fake news", and the rest will acknowledge it but play it down.

So let's see.... The thread isn't about the O/P, it's another hideous attempt at stereotyping Trump supporters.

Agreed, but just the first piece....again we may differ on what we think is bad vs what we think is good.....but how do we know that what they actually put in the article, is ALL there is?

Oh good grief. Do just a little bit of research before you join the ranks of the clown club.

From the WAPO of all places.

The SPLC is a once-storied organization that did important work filing civil rights lawsuits against the Ku Klux Klan in the 1970s. But it has become a caricature of itself, labeling virtually anyone who does not fall in line with its left-wing ideology an “extremist” or “hate group.”

Re: Emails show White House advisor Stephen Miller promoting white nationalism to Breitbart

Are you going to read all of Stephen Miller's 900 e-mails?

If I cared that much about it, yea...it would take time, but I would.

I could read just 100 of those and go, yea, ****, this guy is ****ed in the head.....or go...man...what the hell is the media doing, this is nothing....etc...

Point is, I can make up my own mind about it, I do not need an editorial to pick and choose what to tell me about something, and then tell me how to think about it.

Re: Emails show White House advisor Stephen Miller promoting white nationalism to Breitbart

You mean this SPLC?

The Southern Poverty Law Center has lost all credibility

fter years of smearing good people with false charges of bigotry, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has finally been held to account. A former Islamic radical named Maajid Nawaz sued the center for including him in its bogus “Field Guide to Anti-Muslim Extremists,” and this week the SPLC agreed to pay him a $3.375 million settlement and issued a public apology.

The SPLC is a once-storied organization that did important work filing civil rights lawsuits against the Ku Klux Klan in the 1970s. But it has become a caricature of itself, labeling virtually anyone who does not fall in line with its left-wing ideology an “extremist” or “hate group.”

Nawaz is a case in point. Since abandoning Islamic radicalism, he has advised three British prime ministers and created the Quilliam Foundation, to fight extremism. He is not anti-Muslim. He is a Muslim and has argued that “Islam is a religion of peace.”
