[W:216, 238]Emails show White House advisor Stephen Miller promoting white nationalism to Breitbart

Re: Emails show White House advisor Stephen Miller promoting white nationalism to Breitbart

Agree, but the way it is now, they are editorializing the emails, how do we know what context that email is in? Or what it's on response to, if they leave that information out,

Show the entire email, if there's 900 BAD GOD AWFUL OMG emails, show them. If you want to string it out, that's fine, but SHOW them. Let people decide on their own, if it's bad, awful etc.

They did it this way and now everyone is clamoring for the guy's job, rightly or wrongly, but based on an EDITORIAL, they are asking fora guy to be fired.

There was reason to fire Miller long before the SPLC report. He's been an out and proud racist since at least his teenage years. He's Iago.

Re: Emails show White House advisor Stephen Miller promoting white nationalism to Breitbart

Simply, reporting the news?

the Newsweek article that was posted was an excellent example, or reporting....not trying to persuade....but simple reporting.

Notice how you were persuaded of that article’s authenticity?
That

Re: Emails show White House advisor Stephen Miller promoting white nationalism to Breitbart

Are you going to read all of Stephen Miller's 900 e-mails?

They'll read Miller's emails as soon as they finish the Mueller report.

Re: Emails show White House advisor Stephen Miller promoting white nationalism to Breitbart

Trump has expressed the ideas in the emails himself. He believes in eugenics. He thinks Black immigrants are from "****hole countries" and he wants more immigrants from places like Norway. White supremacists are among Trump's strongest supporters.

Miller is a powerful ally for white supremacists. Due to his own Jewish history, he can never be fully accepted by them, so he can vent his frustration at this by venting his vitriol on the targets of their hatred.

That's an interesting point. I've been told many times that Miller can't be a white supremacist because he's Jewish. It's like working with a black guy or having a "colored" friend apparently. Perhaps he's just a lonely boy who doesn't know where he fits in.

Re: Emails show White House advisor Stephen Miller promoting white nationalism to Breitbart

Pick and choose from any of the thousands of emails I have sent over the years, and you won't find anything promoting white nationalism.

Somebody had to say it. I can't take these people talking about "context" seriously. You want the emails? Get the emails. You won't read them anyway. Nor would they change anything. We all know Miller is a racist. He doesn't hide it. He's written and said racist things. His mind. His pen. His mouth. Now 900 emails show up, at least some of which are apparently treated with racist ideas, and some people act like the SPLC is smearing a man who just might be a good guy. **** that.

Yep, trix why aren't you discussing the topic of the thread yet?

Lol. Goofball.

Sent from the Matrioshka in the WH Christmas tree.

I almost said the same thing.

Re: Emails show White House advisor Stephen Miller promoting white nationalism to Breitbart

I have a problem with people making money organizing hate mobs against the powerless.

At first glance, I thought your screen name was AmRen.

WASHINGTON – Stephen Miller, a senior White House policy adviser, pushed white-nationalist material to staffers at Breitbart, a right-wing conservative website, through 2015 and leading up to the 2016 election, according to a report published by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The report released by the SPLC is the first installment in a series. More than 900 emails between Miller and Breitbart were examined by SPLC’s Hatewatch and revealed “more than 80 percent” of the emails “relate to or appear on threads relating to the subjects of race or immigration.”

Emails show White House Advisor Stephen Miller tauting white nationalism

Stephen Miller emailed Breitbart 900+ times from 2015-2016 to lay out his anti-immigrant policies. His source material included:

-White nationalist websites

-A “white genocide”-themed novel

-Eugenics-era laws that Adolf Hitler lauded in “Mein Kampf.”

Why is anyone suprised at this? We all know that Miller is a neo nazi.

I’m sure Miller would like to open "camps" in order to "concentrate" aliens coming into the country in order to "finally" solve this problem.

Re: Emails show White House advisor Stephen Miller promoting white nationalism to Breitbart

Miller, March 30, 2015, 10:35 p.m. ET:*“Elites can't allow the people to see that their condition is not the product of events beyond their control, but the product of policy they foisted onto them.”

Did he mean to say "foistered"?

Me making it easier for trix: here is the topic : Miller sent emails to Breitbart, discuss. Here is what they said.
Trix: let's talk about the SPLC and how you're off topic instead!

Sent from the Matrioshka in the WH Christmas tree.

You know, in some cases, I've actually started linking 2 sources for some stories. I got a news alert the other day about Sanders's immigration plan. It was a Fox article. I read it. Then I read CNBC's reporting. Believe it or not, despite some bias from both ends, you could extract the pertinent facts from both articles. I created a thread with the Fox article and then added the CNBC link at the end of the OP. That didn't keep some people from not even reading my OP but instead directly responding that Fox can't be trusted. That was it. Didn't even open the article. Didn't bother to read about the story from a different source. Just decided to waste space complaining about the source. It happens when I cite CNN all the time. That's what that other poster was doing. I realize that only the SPLC has reviewed the emails (I think), but she won't even consider the thread topic because of the source.

Re: [W:216]Emails show White House advisor Stephen Miller promoting white nationalism to Breitbart

Absolutely fair,

Please show me his words in the SPLC article that speak for themselves and point him as a racist....

The exact wording, for those who might think it's cute to attempt to move the goalposts, will be found in the emails themselves.

Ilhan Omar has been proved right: Stephen Miller is a white nationalist | Poppy Noor | US news | The Guardian

The emails, sent between 2015 and 2016, expose how Miller frequently used white supremacist literature as a reference point for broader ideas. He linked to white nationalist websites such as VDare and American Renaissance; he promoted material from the conspiracy theory hub Infowars; shared conspiracy theories that a “white genocide” would be brought to America by immigration; and he touted the policies of the former president Calvin Coolidge, whose beliefs on racial purity were praised by Hitler.

Links are provided in the article to the following evidence:

Miller shares link from white nationalist site
Miller recommends ‘Camp of the Saints’ to Breitbart
McHugh says Miller told her to aggregate from American Renaissance
Confederate flag removals upset Miller after church murders
Miller focuses on racial identity of killer with ‘alt-right’ beliefs
Miller says he reached out to anti-Muslim extremist Pamela Geller
Miller forwards Infowars link to aid McHugh’s reporting
Miller backs immigration policies Hitler once praised
Miller posits conspiracy theories about immigration
Exploring Miller’s reported ties to white nationalist figures

Trump adviser Stephen Miller sought to promote white nationalism, leaked emails show | The Independent

Among the more damning email exchanges highlighted in the SPLC report is one that shows Mr Miller directing a Breitbart reporter to aggregate stories from the white supremacist journal American Renaissance, or “AmRen,” for stories that emphasise crimes committed by immigrants and non-whites.

Do not pretend that is not racially motivated.

Happy reading

Re: [W:216]Emails show White House advisor Stephen Miller promoting white nationalism to Breitbart

Neither Vdare nor American Renaissance are white supremacy sites. They are neo-nativist sites dedicated to traditionalism, the European heritage, and race realism (more or less). A.R., in particular, can be a bit on the fringe on occasion but they are NOT of ilk of Alex Jones, the Nazi Party, or the like. And one can find plenty of citations of vetted information that is useful to those who are not on the fringes of either side.

Sorry, that crap right there, that's code for racism

So in other words, NOT his words, but words from the editorial.

Gotcha

Re: Emails show White House advisor Stephen Miller promoting white nationalism to Breitbart

Is that the story though? That high government officials were DRAWING their data from XXXXX ?

Show me where, I clearly missed it....

How about where it says:

"Some of the findings published by the SPLC include evidence that Miller pushed links from white supremacist site VDARE as an editorial basis for Breitbart articles, including links to articles about conspiracy theories such as "white genocide," which claims nonwhite people are trying to eliminate the white race."

Did you miss that?

Sorry are we trying to pretend Miller is not a racist here?

Tell you what. If Miller recommended Camp of the Saints as a trashy piece of racist propaganda that people should find abhorrent, he's not a bigot. If he recommended it as a really good read, he's a bigot. Which is it?

How does that in ANY WAY change the fact that the e-mails are real? Nice try.

They could be the biggest a***** in the world (and I'm on Maajid Nawaz side on this, I remember this case), you don't get to dismiss FACTS and DOCUMENTS, dude. Sorry.

Their editoralizing? Sure. Irrelevant.

It is funny I remember people on the right saying very similar things about the stuff wiki leaks released about the DNC and tons of folks on the left only really caring about how it got released.

Point out where anyone refuted the emails were real.
You mean like the DNC emails that were released by wikileaks that the left tried to ignore because of who leaked them.

We learned exactly nothing new about Stephen Miller today. And the SPLC report certainly won't change anything. Miller is the reason Trump has supporters. He should be sterilized.

We know how Miller's emails got released. The woman he sent them to gave them to the SPLC.
