Started with Exxon as a Civil Engineer in 1975.
Became General Manager of Exxon (US Central Production) in 1995.
In 2006 Tillerson was elected Chair and Chief Executive of Exxon (the world's sixth largest company by revenue).

So, he started at the bottom and became CEO 32 years later. He was even President of The Boy Scouts.

He was fired by Donald Trump in 2018.

I’ve never seen it. But I’ve heard the audio feed on Sirius often enough to know that this program has the intellectual heft of Romper Room. It’s happy talk, celebrities, and virulent right wing spin. Not much else, other than news models yukking it up for the audience.

BP made a big play in Russian oil development in the late 1990’s. The Russians let them put a lot of money in, and then they started screwing with the contracts and stealing the assets.

BP walked.

In walked Rex Tillerson, who was going to save Putin’s bacon by developing Siberian oil and erasing Russia’s towering balance of payments problem.

This is why Trump made him Secretary of State.

It was a straight up signal to the Russians. One heard loud and clear in Moscow.

Not quite what Haley said. She claims Tillerson and Kelly suggested to her that they cooperate in "taking action", not that any action was actually taken.
