Does any other person think Trump will refuse to pay the legal costs?

Donald Trump's firm to pay PS225,000 to Scottish Government to cover legal bills - The Scotsman

Donald Trump's company is to pay the Scottish Government £225,000 to cover its legal bills after the US president's firm was defeated in a long-running and acrimonious court battle over a windfarm development near his inaugural Scottish golf resort.

The firm behind Mr Trump's Aberdeenshire property pursued a three year-long battle to block the offshore renewable energy scheme, a fight which saw Mr Trump appear before the Scottish Parliament and led to his company taking its case to the UK's highest court. However, it ended in failure.

Another failed lawsuit. Not so much winning in this regard it seems. Trump's appearance before the Scottish Parliament's energy commission was pretty funny. My favorite quotable is the "I am the evidence" response he gave when one of the MPs asked what evidence he had that windmills were going to ruin Scottish tourism.

Hilarious! But he says that to Americans, and they place him in office. Damn, we look like idiots to the rest of the world.

If you have the time you should find the video to the comment I mentioned; the laughter from the MPs was worth it. He's a bampot of the highest order.

:)

Thanks.

He's a laughing stock, true. But my concern is what does the rest of the world think? Of, Americans? Because after all, it was the American people that put him in office.

umm why should he have to pay for a valid lawsuit?
those penalties are only for frivolous lawsuit filings.

He stiffs anyone he wants to...including American people he was elected to lead.

cool so you can tell all of us what trump has personally stiffed you on. how bad was it and how much it cost you.

Yes, we do.

Trump has managed to take down the bully pulpit.

Trump is done. Enjoy the hearings.

Because he filed it, and he lost it. And the court obviously thought it was frivolous!

It seems the Scots saw this as a "frivolous lawsuit filing". Your opinion matters little in Scotland
your opinion matters little as well so there we have it.

not really being in site of those windmills can cost property value and views that the resort enjoys.
it is the same reason that people that live in MA do not want them installed in the cape.

defending your property value is not a frivolous lawsuit.

thanks for admitting that he hasn't stiffed you that is all i needed to know.
he is done really when do you have a date?

ol the impeachment thing? yea he isn't getting removed from office.
he will be found innocent of his accusations.

Apparently you believe - no thinking allowed - that only a person who has been "personally stiffed" by Trump is allowed to post such stories. That's funny, in a very sad way.

Hundreds of small businesses and employees have reportedly accused Donald Trump of not paying them

USA Today analyzed 60 lawsuits documenting workers who were employed by Trump and his businesses during the past several decades who say that they weren't compensated for the services they provided, according to the report.

The accusers allegedly include hundreds of waiters, dishwashers, carpenters, plumbers, bartenders, real-estate brokers, and even lawyers who represented the businessman in various suits.

The son of one cabinet builder, Paul Friel, told the newspaper that his family's business submitted an $83,600 bill in the 1980s to the Trump Organization — part of a $400,000 contract to build cabinets and other furniture at Harrah's at Trump Plaza.

Friel said that the firm never received the payment, the report noted.

"That began the demise of the Edward J. Friel Company ... which has been around since my grandfather," Friel said.

The company was founded in the 1940s.

USA Today also found more than 200 mechanics' liens dating back to the 1980s, which were filed by contractors and employees claiming that Trump or his various companies and properties owed them payment for their work.

The publication said that records released in 1990 by the New Jersey Casino Control Commission revealed that on just one Atlantic City project, Trump's Taj Mahal casino, 253 subcontractors weren't paid in full or on time.

Yea you believe in no thinking allowed.
You don't know construction very well do you?

If the work isn't done or not done right you don't pay the contractor until it is fixed or it is completed correctly and
then you get the work discounted because it was not installed correctly.

i actually worked in the business and not getting paid on time was a common thing by a lot of contractors.

Sorry but no that wasn't the demise of his company. if he was that good then well his business would be successful.
1 contract won't sink it.

however i asked how the poster was personally stiffed by trump and well he had nothing to say which we all knew.

Everyone should watch the film, "You've been Trumped", which covers how Trump mistreated the good citizens of Aberdeenshire in pursuit of a golf course

So for clarity, this was the LLC that owns the golf resort... not Trump. There's a good chance he wasn't even involved.

They were suing to stop an offshore windfarm just off the coast, which they said would harm the view. This is a common concern expressed in the US with wind farms as well. (There was a big issue, for example, with a proposed windfarm in sight of the 'Kennedy compound'). It's not a scheme or unusual request by the resort. It wasn't a frivolous lawsuit - they just lost, and in a civil case the loser has to pay the expenses.

Damn! Posted too quick. What I meant to write - The Scots DIDN'T SEE this as a frivolous lawsuit filing

Trump was "involved" to the point that he went before the Scottish parliament to make a statement about offshore windpower farms.
