I would not pay for the defense of a host of things, including this guy, but that is no indication that I do not believe that these individuals do not deserve a defense. Criminal justice is not supposed to be political. Quit trying to make it that way, otherwise, you are no better than the rubes you are crying about.

Paying his legal fees indicates that they support his criminal action. And I am not trying to make it that way. The posters here already did that, not me.

Ok, so it is good that he is going to be able to pay for his defense, even if you do not agree with what he is alleged to have done. Do you believe it is possible for some people donating to his defense might see this the same way as you and I do?

Perhaps they saw the name Hoyt and figured he could not possibly pay for a defense with raccoon pelts and deer antlers. Is that maybe a possibility?

i'm actually happy. i live among Trump Republicans and have heard the horrible things they have said for decades (well, except for during Church).

i'm so glad the masks are off. now sane Americans can accurately see them for who they really are.

I'm just pointing out the inconsistency of both sides as per certain posters. Paying legal fees when they're on their side = good. Not on their side = bad.

Paying legal fees for something like this, unless it was a family member or friends is stupid, but I would not say it is bad or good, regardless of sides. I know I am in the minority, but I find true justice to be far too important to be relegated to an us versus them battle to the bottom.
