Well, to be fair, they have been telegraphing this tectonic shift to some other variant of process quibbles since it became apparent that the vote was coming, and was going to pass.

Expect the Earth to shift some more, with those that thought this was all a parlor trick by Pelosi and that she didn't have the votes. She has a pretty good cushion to still have 218 for Impeachment.

Thats possible, but you need 20. 25 senate republicans are up for reelection in 2020. If Trumps approval with republicans remains where it is, not one of them would come out against him or they would immediately be primaried and lose their seats. That means you have to get 20 of the remaining 28. Good luck with that. You want Trump out, you have to change minds. Running a secret, partisan impeachment in the House will doom it to failure.

The Democrats and warhawks went berserk losing out on a war in Syria - that would have been vastly worst than the Democrat Vietnam War. They truly are traitors of the worst kind.

Virtually every claim made about Trump and Russia was verified as fact by Mueller. Just because it was not criminally prosecutable does not mean they were lies. Media organizations are not prosecutors they report facts as they find them. Meanwhile yet another reporter has left FOX saying "Facts matter". Soon there will be only "personalities" doing "acts" on FOX.

Or you allow the Republicans in the Senate to let Trump skate free from his crimes and then tell the American people that they are the final jury to do the duty that the GOP would not do.

And it is only looking partisan because the Republicans will not do their duty. They have made it partisan. Sp they cannot use it as some sort of phony ace up their sleeves.

When did the WB go outside of the chain of command, and even if they did that's EXACTLY why whistleblower laws were put in place.

And the official "transcript" was not a transcript, but a cherry picked memo, a d it was massively damaging as the call was so illegal even cherry picked sections were incriminating...

Your teeth thing is nonsense. The subpoenas issued by the House committees are every bit as valid, powerful, and enforceable as any other supboena issued by the House. Ask a court. The problem is that the subpoenas aren't enforced. What is Pelosi going to do? Wrap zip ties around Trump's wrists and put him in a border baby cage? Of course not. She's going to make a case that he is illegally disregarding lawful subpoenas thereby obstructing justice and then she is going to impeach him. Meanwhile, she's winning a bunch of lawsuits that bolster her position.

I also have to roll my eyes at the bit about the next vote. Republicans wanted the vote they got today. Now they want a vote on impeachment articles that haven't even been written yet. No vote is ever going to change anything the Republicans do. Trump will continue to violate the law and/or commit other impeachable offenses. Elected Republicans will continue to give him cover. His brainless supporters will continue to do what they do every day. That's why they're practically irrelevant in all of this. Moderates and independents will settle this matter next November depending on how the two parties prosecute the rest of the process.

None of the lies about Trump were corroborated. He did not collude with Russia. As for Katherine Herridge, they went to her for information. She wasnt told what to say

Fairly easy to explain. Follow the steps in the process: 1- They didn't really have to vote, but decided to call republicans' bluff. "You wanted a vote... Here's your vote!"; 2- Then they see what evidence there is that Trump tried to get Ukriane to help his campaign by tarnishing the Bidens. 3- If allegations surrounding the secret testimony is confirmed, then they vote again to impeach; 4- then it's the Senate's turn.
