Man sprays bear repellent during California Trump protest

Best to let the police do the spraying.

This is worse than the right's paranoid fantasies about Antifa because these were peaceful protesters. When Antifa and groups like "the proud boys" commit violence against each other, both groups are looking for a fight and both groups are therefore, disgusting thugs.

Stop applauding...

So you're just here to troll and carry out attention-seeking behavior?

Andy who? I don't know who that is - but regarding football have mercy on my today. Not only did the Seahawks lose at home, but I started their QB, Russell Wilson in our DP fantasy league and he totally tanked today.

I remember when I lived in Dallas, when the Boys lost the whole town hung their heads in sadness the next day! I'm sorry about the broadcast, that's strange they'd preempt it!

Yeah your buddy Andy got busted wide open.
A total phony, and the thing is, it was pretty obvious already.

Just maybe not to some folks on the Right. :lamo

Man sprays bear repellent during California Trump protest

Authorities in Southern California say a supporter of Donald Trump was arrested after spraying bear repellent on a small crowd protesting the president at the Santa Monica Pier.

Santa Monica police say pro- and anti-Trump demonstrators were shouting at each other Saturday when a scuffle broke out.

A video posted online shows a man wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat circling the crowd and then unleashing a torrent of spray from a canister.

COMMENT:-

Let's hear all of Mr. Trump's supporters chiming in -

"A good guy with a gun would have prevented this violent assault."

I recall when the Democratic Party's vice presidential candidate's ADULT son attacked people going to a Trump rally by throwing incendiaries, explosives and pepper sprayed them and exactly NO ONE on this forum and not ONE Democratic official criticized it in the slightest. Accordingly, it is clear what that person did - who may well be a Democrat doing a false flag - is 100% fully acceptable to nearly every Democrat on this forum and 100% of Democratic elected officials and candidates.

Interesting how all those people were there but no one remembered to bring along their cell phone to make a video, huh?

There have been so many HUNDREDS of false flag attacks by Democrats I've lost count.

It is curious that the claim he is a Trump supporter is not that he was with the group supporting Trump - but wearing a MAGA hat "circling the crowd."

Another Trump guy did that at a rally a few years back and used a lighter to turn it into a flamethrower... THAT guy was awesome.

You admire a guy making a flamethrower at a rally?

You should visit a burn center sometime at a major hospital. I just find nothing admirable about burning someone.

Well, he is one lone criminal jerk who went to this protest with the intention of committing assault and battery, just as the members of ANTIFA/Black Bloc are a collection of jerks who go out with the intention of committing assault and battery. No one on either side of the political aisle is responsible for their criminality, except insofar as they engage in open encouragement or excuse-making for them.

Turning to the present case: Were I to engage in idle speculation, I would say this man went to the protest expecting (perhaps even praying) to be accosted by ANTIFA/Black Bloc for whom he had spent a whole thirty bucks to buy his canister of bear mace, only to find a bunch of upset Santa Monica soccer moms instead. So he just got frustrated with the whole back-and-forth and fired off the bear mace.

Yeah, one criminal jerk who apparently completely idolizes another certain orange hued criminal jerk.

well if he sprayed the people unprovoked or not rightfully in his own defense then he is in the wrong and should be punished.

however some in this thread's attempts to equate this one person with the organized antics of antifa are laughably inadequate. .

Bit of a nitpick but black bloc is not a group, its a tactic.

Hey now, are you saying this guy didn't have the right to his free expression? I mean isn't bear repellent like free speech? I mean, money is.
Also, have you seen some liberals? They could easily be confused for bears, you know, looking like Wookises and all.
I'm kidding, this was ****ing stupid.

What on Earth are you talking about, TU Curmudgeon?

First, the man in question used a nonlethal instrument with which to commit an unlawful battery. While extremely painful, bear repellent is generally not dangerous unless one has an allergic reaction to it.

Second, the argument "a good man with a gun" is typically brought up with regard to mass-shootings in gun-free zones. Not for assault and battery committed during political protests.

Third, a good man with a gun was there, apparently. Namely, the arresting officer.

Hmm. I seem to remember hordes of folks saying it was ok for a man who had been pushed in a parking lot to shoot his aggressor at point blank range while the aggressor was backing away.
So is your argument that because this fool was using a non-lethal bear repellent that he shouldn't have been susceptible to the same kind of stand your ground foolishness? Because that argument goes against book.
Which by the way, is why the OP employed the sarcasm used.

It was just liberals, they are barely people.

he was spraying against the "russian bear" communists

with an IQ of 85, he did the best he could....

idiots are everywhere...."here's your sign!"

See, you have full filled his prophecy. Damn, Mr Pearson must be the messiah.

Since I have never held the "the Left" writ large as being responsible for ANTIFA, I really do not see how. Is there something you disagree with regarding what I said? Is everyone on the right-side of the political aisle responsible for this man? Is everyone on the left side of the political aisle responsible for ANTIFA? Because I do not see how either of those positions are true.
