Rick Perry stepping down

Maybe now the whole Energy department can be dismantled just like Perry wanted - before he was chosen to run it of course.

There's two things that Rick Perry is accomplishing by leaving the administration. First, he can no longer offer any replies to the press if he doesn't want to because he's no longer representing this administration officially. Second, he can refuse to provide documents that are requested claiming executive privilege on those documents, they belong to government even though he doesn't belong to government any longer in any administrative role.

Rick Perry is dumb as a rock and this isn't his idea, it's the legal department in the White House telling him this is his best option. Any questions about his involvement as one of the 'three amigos' just goes away in secrecy.

Exactly, 'americanwoman'! Rick Perry is such a numbskull that he couldn't remember the department he wanted to 'do away with' during the debates in 2011. It was the Dept of Energy, the department he now heads.

Well, there you go. Do you believe it now? What happened to your "fake News"? Did they accidently get one right?

And by the looks for that video, it was in the works for a bit longer than a "short time".

[h=1]Energy Secretary Rick Perry, one of Trump's 'three amigos,' reportedly to resign[/h]A White House official does not dispute reports that Energy Secretary Rick Perry told President Trump he will be stepping down from his position soon. The exact timing remains unclear; however, it has been widely reported that Perry was preparing to leave by year’s end.

Another one heading for the door. This administration and cabinet are absolutely gutted.

How many is that now that have quit on Trump?

It's a lot but not enough for Trump. Once he hones down his administration sufficiently and puts puppets in their place, he has achieved what he always wanted, absolutely and complete control of the party.

I fully support Trump down this path and can see no possible negative consequences.

You're not good at sarcasm.

It's okay, Hatuey understands.

It's not sarcasm, I'm asking you direct questions. You said you support Trump down this path and that you can't see any possible negative consequences. So I'm asking you directly, put sarcasm aside because that's not my objective. The point of my comment was to find out why you don't find any consequences to the damage that Trump has done already. There's no possible way to gauge how much more there will be in the future.

Perry's departure won't be a huge loss in leadership. He was totally unqualified to lead that department. Remember his predecessor, under Obama was a nuclear physicist - which is a much more qualified resume to lead the energy department than an animal husbandry major!

Okay, going to say it again: You don't understand sarcasm, I get it.

psst, Hatuey's original post was pure sarcasm. Of course its a cluster ****. It's Trump. Even his own supporters knows he ****s everything up, they have just shifted their support to accept that his screw ups piss liberals off, and that's good enough :)
