Trump’s acting chief of staff admits it: There was a Ukraine quid pro quo

You know, I've wondered the same thing myself.

Maybe it's time to throw in the 25th amendment.

Unfortunately computer illiteracy isn't grounds but the underlying malady most certainly is.
This whole "serveritis" episode is just due to the fact that he is unable to understand the workings of a computer.
His smartphone is more than challenging enough for him.

I don't believe Biden is anymore literate than Trump is, and Hillary is also largely computer illiterate as well.
Hillary isn't stupid, she's obviously just the last of a breed, the folks who grew up on typewriters and word processors and settled in comfortably ever after.
Lord knows how long she probably held onto her old "dayplanner" notebook.
Remember those?

Please provide the quote.

Reporter: Let's be clear what you just described is a quid pro quo. Funding will not flow unless the investigation into the DNC server happened as well.

Mick: We do that all the time with foreign policy.

The DNC server? The DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE server. Give us dirt on the DNC or you don't get the money. Simple as that.

Trump’s acting chief of staff admits it: There was a Ukraine quid pro quo

well, no kidding.

I see nothing in that quote about dirt.

Provide the quote.

I don't know how many more times I'll have to keep copying and pasting Mick Mulvaney's quote. Please write it down, commit it to memory or copy and paste it and keep it safe on your desktop on a notepad.

“[Did] he also mention to me, in the past, that the corruption related to the DNC server?” Mulvaney said. “Absolutely, no question about that. But that’s it. And that’s why we held up the money. ... The look back to what happened in 2016 certainly was part of the thing that he was worried about in corruption with that nation. And that is absolutely appropriate.”

Actually, from what I understand, Rudy was their lawyer. People don't usually work for their lawyer. It's the other way around, right?

I think you need to get the relations straight before you start spouting off about who is doing what.

They were part of the Trump cabal in Ukraine, and they were working for Guliani and Trump.

But then, Guliani is the kind of “lawyer” who sees his clients off to the airport so they can blow dodge on the day before they’re supposed to testify.

I see nothing in that quote about dirt.

So the word "investigation" means what to you? Exactly what was the point of asking Ukraine to "investigate" specifically the DNC server? And to encourage them to "investigate" the DNC server, they gave them an incentive: You get the defense money when you do as we ask.

Nice country you got there. It would be a shame if anything were to happen to it.

"What Mulvaney actually said was that the Trump administration had initially withheld funding from Ukraine for a variety of reasons, including the fact that Europe was not providing enough funding for military aid. Another reason, he said, was suspicion of past corruption in Ukraine — which included Ukraine’s possible role in interfering in the 2016 presidential election, including its possible possession of a Democratic National Committee server.
Mulvaney said: “The look back to what happened in 2016 certainly was part of the things [President Trump] was worried about in corruption with that nation. That is absolutely appropriate.”

CNN Falsely Claims White House 'Admits to Quid Pro Quo' with Ukraine | Breitbart

I hesitated posting Breitbart as the source because it make leftist heads explode ... who am I kidding, that's WHY I posted the Breitbart source.
It does fill in blanks that other sources choose not to.
You'll see what he was talking about if someone ever prints the entire transcript.
But judging from recent history, actual words don't convince everyone.

It doesn't matter what he said. It's what he didn't say, which is, well...everything else. Everything else is some expansive territory. There's a lot of bad things around in everything else. The chief question is what, of all the things he didn't say, are things he actually meant to say, but ****ed up, and didn't say.

We need someone like Schiff, or some of the posters here, to determine what Mulvaney didn't say, but meant to.

Where's the quid? Talking in-house about holding up money ain't it. It wasn't in the phone call, so where is it?

You can keep quoting all you want, but you'll never be able to quote him saying anything about dirt or politics.

He doesn't need to say it. Nobody needs to say it. It was the nature of the information which they sought-- the expected results of such an investigation or the expected consequence of the news of such an investigation -- that reveals to everyone that it was all about dirt and politics -- with the consequence of benefiting Trump personally and also his political campaign.

And this is what Mulvaney confessed to. We are not even including the information revealed from the testimonies and texts from the State Dept. and NSC officials.

You can keep quoting all you want, but you'll never be able to quote him saying anything about dirt or politics.

That’s ridiculous.

Of course he did.

You’re playing the same game that all you Trumpster played when Trump wouldn’t condemn the white supremacists in Charlottesville until he was shamed into it after three days. Then you all pretended that he had done so all along.

Is it just the left's strategy to ignore the transcript? Are we to pretend it doesn't exist? Because I keep seeing posts about a quid pro quo because of this, or that guy said there was one, or the fake whistle blowers friend's, sister's, uncle's, mother-in-law said she heard there was one, etc... Except, we have the transcript, that clearly shows there was not one. Not even a remote chance.

But, the Democrats know that they can tell their low info/low IQ followers to ignore their lyin' eyes, and only believe what their Marxist leaders tell them.

Trump would release the close to $400 million in military aid that Congress approved and Trump froze. In return, the Ukraine president would reopen an investigation of Hunter Biden and the DNC server. The investigation had been closed with no illegal findings against Biden. From the very first days of our nation, the founders were intent on ensuring that foreign entities did not influence America’s democratic system. They knew that foreign involvement in U.S. elections or policy making posed an enormous threat to our sovereignty and that a president who would invite foreign interference for his own political benefit would be subject to impeachment. They would have been horrified at President Donald Trump’s efforts to pressure the Ukrainian government to help dig up dirt on a potential political rival to GAIN advantage over his political opponent..

LOL!!

"Trump cabal"

Nonsense.

Amusing story, you have an active imagination. And very nice boiler plate rah-rah stuff. But still just a nothing burger.

Investigation into corruption does not mean investigation for dirt.

Lefties don't let truth and facts get in the way of political expediency.

"So those are the driving factors..."

I wonder why that video didn't START with those driving factors? Hmmm?

Could it be those driving factors interfere with your "dirt" nonsense?

Yep.

He doesn't need to say it. Nobody needs to say it.

You're right.

You want it to be about dirt and it doesn't matter what he says...it's about dirt. (in your mind)

That’s ridiculous.

Of course he did.

Good luck.

One minute the right is complaining the inquiry is taking too long...and the next they're complaining that the left is trying to hurry things along.

Some people are never happy no matter what you do. But that's the right for ya.
