Trump’s acting chief of staff admits it: There was a Ukraine quid pro quo

Re: Trump’s acting chief of staff admits it: There was a Ukraine quid pro quo

The key difference here being that Russians are not political opponents within our country, but a foreign power.

huh? what do call Ukraine?

Here's the spin on it,

Mulvaney said that they held up the aid, because they were worried about corruption.

The Media goes, AHA, there's the quid pro quo, which, no, it's not. Unless we are in the habit of routinely handing over 400 million dollars without any qualms to a country that is KNOWN FOR CORRUPTION,

He mentioned it's routine, and it was done before, which it is, and it has been.

The left will spin it, the right will spin it, and the truth is in the middle, but no one will admit it.
Read the actual transcript. He specifically mentioned the DNC -- you know, the right-wing conspiracy theory held by Trump.

Can you link it? I read the article, didn't have it there.

Right, so there are dozens and dozens of major cases of corruption in Ukraine, and it's a coinky dink that Trump and Rudy and all the rest focused like a laser beam ONLY on the company connected to Trump's likely 2020 opponent!

Sheesh, surely you can't even believe that yarn. Right?

How is that Mr. Biden gets immunity because he is running for president ?

Re: Trump’s acting chief of staff admits it: There was a Ukraine quid pro quo

and what is your point?

no idea what it is

Dunno dude, you asked me what I thought Ukraine was. It is certainly not something used to erect buildings.

Trump can use any channels he want to. If you think he's done something illegal, trot out your accusation along with the law.

Quid pro quo for political purposes is illegal. For other purposes...legal.

Mulvaney confirmed that the quid pro quo was political. He basically said quid pro so?

Better yet...

LOL dude, I'm not watching a 38 minute video, I can read it faster than I can watch it, so if you got it, show it.

Giuliani is working for Trump and Trump can have anybody he wants doing work for him. That includes the Ambassador to the EU. Trump can also have anyone he wants NOT do work for him...for example, the Ambassador to Ukraine.

What makes you think the "bag men" were working for Trump?

Why do we bother with all those burdensome nominations and confirmations? A private citizen has no authority to have government employees reporting to him!

I watched the interview, its clear Mick got frustrated.

Sucks for him. Ill bet a subpoena is coming soon.

He'll get a subpoena for sure but won't answer it claiming executive privilege. But, he's been caught on camera.

got it...understand.

Nancy's got nothing ....she's not gonna impeach....Trump knows it

she would have if she could have....IG report...Durham Report....Pelosi doesn't dare enter into impeachment trial facing results from those investigations hanging out there.

The investigations are only half finished. Mitch McConnell has already set up the trial details. Sorry for you and for Durham

Fun (and weird) fact: despite Sekulow and Barr’s displeasure with Mulvaney’s admission, trump is pleased as punch. Anybody want to guess why?

Because he figured out how a safty pin works, and it's been bugging him for years?

LOL!!

You can stop all you want, but that didn't happen. (no matter how many times you keep saying it did)

Well, the Chief of Staff admitted in the press briefing room in front of television cameras that it did.

The left doesn't need to spin it. By now, most people know that the only corruption Trump was interested in concerned his political opponents and no one else.

There was no mention of anything to do with national security or government affairs or corruption that directly concerned Ukraine in the transcript....Trump only wanted dirt on Biden and the DNC server for his own personal political gain. And that my friend, is against the law no matter how you or the right try to spin it. Article two: section nine.

What personal favor? If Mr. Biden was corrupt, it is certainly worth investigating. That he was a candidate for president is not immunity against being investigated.
You guys taught us that.

You're saying he was corrupt, but how is it possible that you have magically produced a verdict when the Ukraine prosecutor said there was no wrongdoing?

Dems have gone full blown TDS

at some point this badgering is gonna cause Barr or Durham to release info is my guess.

Or resign.

The investigations are only half finished.

IG report was gonna be released Friday but more redactions are happening...delaying

Durham report will NOT wait too finalize to release whole report...... will release info on as needed basis......per Brett Baier Fox

Read the actual transcript. He specifically mentioned the DNC -- you know, the right-wing conspiracy theory held by Trump.

"What Mulvaney actually said was that the Trump administration had initially withheld funding from Ukraine for a variety of reasons, including the fact that Europe was not providing enough funding for military aid. Another reason, he said, was suspicion of past corruption in Ukraine — which included Ukraine’s possible role in interfering in the 2016 presidential election, including its possible possession of a Democratic National Committee server.
Mulvaney said: “The look back to what happened in 2016 certainly was part of the things [President Trump] was worried about in corruption with that nation. That is absolutely appropriate.”

CNN Falsely Claims White House 'Admits to Quid Pro Quo' with Ukraine | Breitbart

I hesitated posting Breitbart as the source because it make leftist heads explode ... who am I kidding, that's WHY I posted the Breitbart source.
It does fill in blanks that other sources choose not to.
You'll see what he was talking about if someone ever prints the entire transcript.
But judging from recent history, actual words don't convince everyone.

I think he’s literally enjoying the escalation. Everything that’s happened this week (and especially today) has taken impeachment and ramped up the likelihood of it happening by ten gazillion percent, and he’s loving every minute of it.

I guess the mystery of the safety pin is still getting the best of him......oh well
