Trump to host G7 at his own Florida resort property

Thank you for proving me 100% right about Trump and Trump supporters. You only strengthen my points with each pathetic post you make. Trump supporters should either be locked up in a mental institution or jail. They are of no use to society whatsoever.

This is what 30 years of cynical conditioning using weaponized speech gets us.

I watched some of trumps rally last night.

Entry after entry in the Conservative Recent History Book recited, and cheered, by what to all appearances was a professional wrestling audience.

We are screwed.

30% of the population has a completely different recent history from the rest of the ****ing world. Nonsense constructed of whole cloth, scientifically inserted.

And the rest of us are the "dangerous" ones.

Why would you think any Trump supporter cares about your opinion on anything of importance when you already labeled them all a pos, a bunch of mentally ill people who need to be locked away from society? I guess you love to hear yourself pretend that you're better than they?

Okay, pretend then.

All y'all have is "pretend".

Wrong on multiple counts. Im not a Trump supporter. Secondly, your fauxrage is symptom of TDS. Trump has done a lot of horrible things, but this isnt something to get mad about. If Obama, Dubya or Clinton owned resorts you can bet they would have hosted summits there too.

Nonsense.

Way to Demonize people. It says a lot about your character.

Your boy spent the whole night at his rally demonizing anybody who ever dared to look at him funny.

So stuff it.

I don't think it's about learning to be honest, IF, and I still don't know, IF Trump is the one making the choice, and the only one making the choice and there's no process of procedure to follow, then, I agree, it's daring the Dems, a big FU to Washington in general,

I’m only throwing this out there as a potential lead to answer your question...not as a definitive answer.

But the blog ElectoralVote had the following statement with regards to the issue:

At his press conference announcing the site (see above), Mick Mulvaney said that the President personally intervened in the decision-making process

I haven’t listed to the entire press conference to verify whether that was stated or not, but if true, it would seem to answer your question.

strawman fail.

Nobody cares about your silly piles of straw. Save some for the scarecrows.

Have any of you ever criticized trump for anything he has ever done?

Of course you haven't.

Have any of you ever posted anything not at beat paraphrased from conservative media?

No you haven't.

I steongly suspect that trump could roll out full-on universal healthcare.

And you would all cheer.

Even after condemning the idea in a post moments before his announcement.

The rest of us all see this Stepford Wives bull****.

Thanks for that, then the next question is, is that normal, or not? If it's normal, ok...still need more questions to be answered...if it's not...then another set of questions need to be asked etc...

Yeah..I mean I would guess it’s fairly normal that the President has a fair amount of say in choosing the location, though again I admit I am merely guessing at this point.

The counterpoint being, even if the President traditionally has a lot of say in the decision, all other presidents have chosen “neutral” type locations (a list of previously US hosted summits is also included at the blog link), so it’s never really been an issue before. The closest thing would be HW chose a location in his home state of Texas, which obviously is not an emolument violation.

Agreed, though, I am not sure if we've ever had a President own, so much property before like this one.

You would think Camp David is the default place for a meeting like this.

You have to remember that in some people's world, the Constitution is a 'living document.'

Stupid founders and their amendment process.

Making it look like the constitution can adapt to changing times, addressing things they didn't foresee when its really set in stone, as written.

And y'all wonder why we don't take you seriously.

Attacking the messenger is so much easier than debating the message. ;)

The problem is we're not debating "the message".

We are debating "messaging". Which is conditioning.

And it's really hard to overcome conditioning.

Blah, blah, blah. Try and find something important to bitch about.

This is important. Trump should not be abusing his position to enrich himself or his company at the country's expense, and he certainly shouldn't be doing it in a way that exposes himself to foreign influence. It's corrupt. It's unethical. It's unconstitutional.

With each passing day, it becomes clearer...Trump supporters are just basically thugs and punks. They are not good people.

The former mayor of Baltimore resigned and was investigated by the FBI because the University of Maryland Medical System bought her children's book while she was on the board of directors.
Baltimore’s Mayor, Catherine Pugh, Resigns Amid Children’s Book Scandal - The New York Times

But she was a Democrat, so there was bipartisan outrage at her corruption.

Just thought this was worth repeating...

I'm beginning to think that if Trump were a serial killer his mindless cult would still support him.

Unfortunately, he is. Ask Kurds. Ask people dying from more pollution now and in future. Ask people dying from not being able to afford healthcare thanks to his dismantling of ACA.

Given that the Democratic Party and fascists within the intelligence agencies are acting as spies for Russia, China, N. Korea and Iran, having it at his resort is the best way to protect national security secrets from the Democratic Party and other traitors.

:cuckoo:

Don't be ridiculous. Presidents have invited foreign dignitaries to their property often in the past and had them visit at resorts.

And they charged them money to stay at their house or property? Does that property run as business for other guests that they charged money for? Dummy

LOL! Not that you have even the remotest honest interest in this, but the Emoluments Clause.

PoS was not interested, since it's in the OP and even bolded.

Manson family members bought into whatever Charles Manson told them was right and just, no matter how abhorrent. It's the same for Trump supporters, who act the same as if they were in a cult. Their knee-jerk response to any criticism of their Dear Leader is to defend whatever he did as right and just.

All the trump supporters' responses in this thread are intellectually dishonest. If trump's resort was the only location such an international conference could be held then perhaps one could make a case that holding the conference there is justified.

This is an obvious conflict of interest and abuse of office.

Have fun with your trolling, trump supporters.

I guess the guy figured the time to enrich himself from both foreign and domestic taxpayer might be closing down soon, with impeachment and all... So, should hurry up and do it!

Right on!

I bet all the properties that they really considered had Trump name on them.

:lamo Alternative facts, folks... just move along...

I guess the last act of Trump before leaving will be to sell White House itself and its land to Trump Org; so all future Presidents rent from him and his offspring.

It's a good move.

As explained, it meets all the requirements for hotels, hospitals, transportation, etc. And there would certainly be no issues with the delegates getting whatever they needed.

I think the trump supporters know how disgusting trump's behavior has been. Their goal is to derive pleasure at our disgust over his behavior. They're still angry that a mixed race person of the opposite party was elected twice and "trolling the libs" as they're doing now is their way of exacting revenge for their hurt feelings.

:lamo

I wonder if he'll force those attending to wear Trump ties.

How much you want to bet that the "won't take any profit" bit doesn't include things like alcohol and trump souveniers and rounds of golf with the president?

dehumanizing is becoming normal operating procedure...not good look for Dems.

focus on politics not murder

I weary of the purveyors of terms like "libtard" calling for civility from those "libtards".

It's fun to watch the bull break things in the china shop, until you realize it's your china shop.

I just can't think that they're that unpatriotic that they're willing to watch Trump make all kinds of policy changes that work to Putin's benefit against our own country's interests.

And all the lbrls will throw a fit when Trump, which he has every right to do, invites Putin to the summit as an "observer". Then wait'll Putin excuses himself to the restroom and Trump follows. Boy, the lbrl tongues will be waggin' then. Those won't be the only ones.

We're becoming the eastern bloc.

What a joke.
