some of them are bible thumping benighted control freaks. Some of them are brilliant machiavellians. One of the Reagan Administration's smartest people was an agnostic Jewish Woman I knew well. I asked her WTF did she oppose abortion and gay rights when she wasn't infected with the bible thumping bigotry. And she noted that by attacking those"rights" she kept leftist feminists on the defensive.

But I have almost as much tolerance for Christian bigots as I have for gun banning lefties.

It was a disgrace when Scalia was attacked within hours of his death. It's a disgrace that this man is being attacked within hours of his death and it's equally revolting watching the vultures swarm waiting for Ruth to die.

It's repulsive.

My paternal grand father took myself and my two brothers to a KKK rally/initiation ceremony in SE Ok. in 1957 when I was 4 years old. He was a S. Methodist Deacon and full blown KKK bigot.
 
Just saw him exiting a meeting yesterday and was hoping he'd do some talking on these matters soon. Very sad.
Hope his family knew it was close and they all got to resolve any final hugs.
