Rep. Cummings was decent, honorable and someone who believed in we the people and a more perfect union. What a loss for our country.
 
I saw Mr Cummings in Selma Alabama at the 50th anniversary of the Selma bridge crossing also known as bloody Sunday

It's about a million according to the sources I've seen, but even $2m for someone making $175k per year for 25 years, if it includes a house, isn't corrupt in any way. My aunt was a career GAO employee who never made close to $175k and she was worth more than that at retirement. All she did was save a little bit, and live in Atlanta where the value of her house roughly tripled over the decades.

And if you try just a little in D.C. to be corrupt and cash in on a few deals, it's pretty hard to spend a career there and only earn a $million or so in investments. My career public servant Sen. Lamar got that number to about $20 million. No one bitches about him getting rich off public service either. Wonder why they don't with him but do with a black guy from Baltimore? It's a mystery.
 
Cummings had an iconic voice. Loved hearing it.....didn't listen mind you. Heads are going to explode when a Republican governor replaces him. Can a RINO
come through? It will always be the Elijah seat.

The assholes dancing on his grave are even more vile than their cult leader, who had the decency and good sense to honor Cummings in a Tweet yesterday. Trump fans showed, in this thread, was pieces of trash they are.

Yeah, my point was that my house alone was worth 3/4 of Cummings' total net worth as reported. 22 years in DC and these idiots think $1.1 million is "wealthy" and he was "corrupt" because he amassed that. Cummings was over 10 years older than I am, and I already have more than he did.

Trump fans are stupid.

Provide evidence that he was a racist bigot. Provide evidence that his wife could wind up in jail. It isn't right to slander anyone, dead or alive.
