Republicans: a few hundred million in solar power subsidies lost!? The horror! What waste!

Also Republicans: let's use a 10 million dollar bomb to blow up a billion dollars worth of our other bombs. .

Any military commander will tell you that when you're destroying your own equipment, facilities, bases, it means you've lost it. For USA it is a pathetic conclusion to the conflict in Syria.

At least in the defeat of South Vietnam USA tried its best to get its allied supporters out of the city of Saigon and the collapsing country of South Vietnam. Trump has left our allies the Kurds to Assad, Putin, Erdogan. So that makes four against one.

US conducts airstrike on weapons storage site as troops pull out of Syria - CNNPolitics

Two US Air Force F-15 jets conducted an airstrike targeting an American munitions storage bunker at a US base in Syria Wednesday in order to prevent the munitions and other equipment from falling into the hands of armed groups, two US defense officials told CNN.

This is what a well planned operation looks like!

Yes, bombing your own facilities is well-planned. I hope you're joking.

There was no mention of the cost of the bombs, or the value of the munitions that were destroyed.

Could you post the specific information you have on their value?

If it involves stealing, killing, or destroying*, Republicans are all for it.

* as long as the targets are not straight cis white men

The article indicates they were also wanting to destroy the building so it could not be used by terrorists, but let's ignore that part. Trump will make Mexico pay to rebuild it!!!!

Confirmation of costs is sufficient. Not interested in cast offs when you're through with them.

Putin-Trump Rowers keep springing leaks in their boat.

Denying it means only one thing.

You guyz will row till your MAGA hats float.

Bottom Line: blowing up your own stuff as you bail means you lost. You're burning your own money -- everyone's money. Trump ran up the go signal flag for the Turks against the Kurds who are being hammered as you row row row your boat.

Actually, those photos were taken over a year after U.S. troops left Vietnam.

You don't even know what they blew up.

Inventing stories is what losers do. I'm sure you don't want to be one of those.

It's a good thing we didn't keep troops in the area, then. Right?

Here's what we blew up Big Guy:

Lafarge Cement Factory

A major alteration of the shared base in Lafarge Cement Factory. (Source: Zamanalwsl, September 22, 2019)

This year [2019], Coalition forces have significantly expanded the base at Lafarge Cement Plant, which is currently the largest base for U.S. and Coalition forces in military and logistical terms, with eight helicopters and six French helicopters in the base, forming a large strike force.

"Some call it Kharab Ashiq base in reference to the nearby village, only 20 km from the Turkish border.

There are many more US & Coalition bases in northern Syria at the Turkish border that Trump is abandoning.

Ain Issa Coalition Base

jttm0923199.jpg

Expansion of base at Ain Issa (Source: Zamanalwsl, September 22, 2019)

"Significant expansion of the logistics base at Ain Issa: Since the beginning of this year, the Americans have expanded the base of Ain Issa over a very large area. The base is dedicated to logistical support and various logistics operations, affiliated with several separate and spaced centers surrounding it as ammunition and logistics depots.

"Over the past two years, 2018-2019, U.S. bases (coalition forces) and other forces in Syria have undergone significant changes in one of the following areas:

"Establishing new bases that did not exist before.

"Expanding and consolidating some older bases.

"Definitive evacuation of certain bases.

"Moving some bases to different areas.

"Most of the major oil and gas fields currently have small bases of up to 50 U.S. troops securing them." So multiply your 50 troops times the number of US & Coalition bases identified in the strategic map. If you don't know by now Trump lies 24/7 there's nothing anyone can do for you. However, others can be advised of the specifics of Trump's lies.

"Turkey's urgent desire to establish a safe zone within Syrian borders will be hampered by the positions of these bases, some of which are only a few kilometers from the border, some of which have been built relatively recently."

Here's an aerial view of another of the many Coalition bases in northern Syria at the Turkish border that are being abandoned by Trump:

jttm0923196.jpg

Shadadi Base

One of the largest American bases in Syria, established by the U.S. army forces after Daesh (ISIS) was expelled from the town of Shadadi; it is a focal point for the U.S.strike forces there. It includes a camp for Marines as well as an airbase of eight attack helicopters, in addition to being a logistics base for U.S. troops and Kurdish forces operating there. The base extends for four kilometers and two kilometers inwidth.

"The Americans have deliberately set up the base near the most important oil fields in the region, Al-Jabsa and Kubaiba.

Whatever the cost in bucks of these bases there are a lot of bases, equipment, facilities and so on to leave behind for the Turks to gain at the expense of the US & Coalition forces and countries.

As I don't mind revealing sources to you in particular, there are a lot more US & Coalition bases photographed and reported at this link. You can always get yourself a professional estimator for any cost figures you'd be interested in. Your interest in specific costs is your own and is not in my department.

Wow. That's a lot of work, big guy.

Where is the value of what was blown up, or are you saying the bombing erased every building in the pictures your friends made available to you?

You're lying when you present those pictures as a U.S. withdrawel.

And no, we didn't lose.

I saw your first claim that photos of the collapse of Saigon were fake and thought it just Poe's law, but then you repeated it.

Watched the helo's land on the roof and take on streams of refugees on the nightly news. Walter Cronkite even narrated the film of the birds getting pushed off the carriers into the sea.

And those Embassy Security Marines?

It ain't what the final cost is, its the fact that American soldiers were ordered to run away while leaving their honor and pride on the battlefield. What a CinC your dear leader is. What a strategic genius. What an great russian asset.

I didn't say they were fake. I said they're being falsely portrayed as "U.S. forces evacuating Vietnam". The fact is, those photos were taken in April 1975. The last U.S. troops left in March 1973.

Those Marines were embassy guards. Every United States embassy in the world has a Marine detachment assigned to it, for security.
