Pelosi announces House won't vote now on whether to begin impeachment inquiry

I wouldn't know.

Oh, I was thinking that would be a good selling point... you had the salesman pitch down.

They are following current House rules and you know it. Evidence is by its very nature non-partisan. Trump's job is to just submit it. Why do you think that is so hard for him to submit the evidence to prove his innocence? Obama submitted over 10,000 pages of requested documents on Benghazi and Hillary was grilled for 11 hours by House Republicans. Pompeo is refusing to testify at all. Trump refused to testify to Mueller also. Why are they all so scared of telling the truth? You really need to ask yourself that question. I already know why it is.

Every other presidential impeachment process has begun with a vote. But this one has Democrats that don't want to go on the record, because they'll have to pay the political consequences. So we just try to drag it out into election season.

No vote required. Several impeachment inquires did not have a vote

There has been no obstruction of justice

This is not true:

Obstruction of Justice in the Mueller Report: A Heat Map - Lawfare

If attempting to get dirt on your political opponent during an election year was illegal, then why isn't Hillary or Obama in prison? Are you really that stupid? Everything you accuse Trump, Hillary and Obama have already done ten times more. Where was your sense of civic responsibility then? That is the one thing all leftists have in common, they are defined by their hypocrisy.

First of all it doesn't matter if anyone else did something wrong. No American should be okay with any corruption.

Second, no, this notion that Hillary and Obama have already done tens times worse is totally ridiculous. Not saying they are angels. But there just isn't any comparison to what Trump did here. It's in a whole other league of corruption.

And finally, it's okay to get dirt on your opponent if however unseemly. But, no, it's not okay to use the power and authority of the federal government to do it, and it's even worse if you're trying to get some foreign government entangled in the mess. This seems self-apparent to me. I don't know what happened to Trump supporters. Did every single one of them have terrible parents who failed to teach them the difference between right and wrong? Try doing the stuff Trump does in your own personal and business life and see how quickly you find yourself in prison.

Poor Twump and Republicans...such snowflakes? Such victims!!! Will they ever get a break in their corruption and crime spree from people trying to stop them?!?
Now you want Trump's bad deeds not to have political consequences? Boo hoo!

Nancy won't hold a vote and she doesn't have too....boo hoo!

You guys need a safe space to cry this out. It's an investigation. When it goes to the Senate, they will have a trial, and you can point the finger at nonsense then, because that's the only defense Trump has, a bunch of crying nosnense. I wish that were hyperbole, but you know it's not.
Lol i guess your fine with Trump, the mastermind criminal, remaining in office. Apparently there iant sny urgency to impeach him.

It's a shameless political stunt.

If they actually believed there was something here worthy of impeachment, they'd follow precedent and this would look similar to Nixon's or Clinton's impeachment. It would be above board and not conducted from behind a partisan iron curtain. I mean, if what Trump supposedly did is that bad, why all the shenanigans?

What shenanigans? They are proceeding as the Constitution suggests, not as Trump suggests.

Can you show me the shine of your Japan, the sparkle of your China - can you show me?

Any fool that still supports this criminal, reality-TV idiot. You know, like the ones that attend those tard-rallies and believe the obvious BS from a well-know liar. You know, "build the wall."

Trump-cuck. 99 percent of them are over-weight, middle-aged white guys that couldn't punch their way out of a wet paperbag or angry old ladies.

Which one are you?

You seem angry. Would a hug be out of the question?

Re: No Vote Pelosi- Not at this Time

Just don't talk to me about your "conscience" and all is fine.

You came at me. I never talked to you. Your post was so warped with anger toward Trump that you didn't even realize that you and I are on the same side. I just don't hate him, which is apparently your standard for what is good enough to be liberal.

In that light, I have a few more things to say to you. Some Trump supporters hate us because of you, not me. With allies like you, who needs enemies? Secondly, don't tell me what to post again. I have no problem treating you like I treat the pro-Trump trolls in this forum if you can't muster enough self control to keep yourself from attacking someone who mostly agrees with you. Lastly, since you apparently need some help fine tuning your own conscience, let me know if I can recommend some resources to you.

If this is what you've been reduced to trouble13, I'm sorry.

I also hate people that say I just hate Trump. There are a multitude of good reasons to despise him and that is what you are missing. I did not attack you for no reason either. I believe it is up to every American voter to enlighten themselves about a candidate running for President and it appears you missed the boat with Trump. He is a danger to all we hold dear and his Presidency will go down in history as the biggest mistake voters have ever made. Voting 3rd party or staying home because Hillary was not your chosen candidate is what got us Trump. It was just luck that you were not in the 3 Blue States that Trump won by a total of 75,000 votes.

The subpoenas have started.

I love this impeachment inquiry

Again...that's not a real thing so you can cling to it if you want. As for reality, it's just Congress doing normal oversite, as is their duty.

What is an actual impeachment process if not calling witnesses to determine whether there is cause for impeachment?

I guess the witnesses are giving imaginary testimony to the committee "called" an impeachment inquiry.

It's called congressional oversight, a normal function of Congress that happens all the time. The House actually has no authority regarding the process or litigation of an impeachment. That's the Senate's job. The only thing the House does is vote to have it move forward to the Senate for the trial.

If there was any doubt as to what this "impeachment inquiry" really is, this announcement should erase that doubt. The House Democrats are interested in inflicting as much political damage as they can possibly get away with.

"We're here to find the truth". The truth is that statements like this are ****ing nauseating at this point, Nancy.

If you want to control how a House investigation is worked, win a enough elections to control the House to do so. Till then the GOP should STFU about how the House investigates.

Nope. They can do the investigation. The senate is just for the trial

It is a formal impeachment inquiry which is the investigation prior to the impeachment.

lol...and I bet some people still believe Trump is draining the swamp.

Yes except that his inquiry will end with a vote on removing Trump from office and it is more likely by the day that the Senate will agree. Either that or Trump will resign from office.

Right...as part of their normal oversight that has nothing to do with impeachment. They only have one authority with regards to impeachment, which is voting on it and sending it to the Senate.
