Giuliani says he won't comply with subpoenas from Democrats

He’s too busy playing the victim, whining because he wasn’t allowed to crash hearings that he wasn’t a part of.

Do people not understand basic civics? 8th grade US Government?

I love that Adam Schiff kicked his fat ass out of the hearing room. :lamo

Giuliani says he won’t get a lawyer. Good.

Idiot.

Time to frogwalk him.

I remember watching Giuliani after 9/11 and thinking he was to be admired. Now I watch him and I see a rambling feeble old coot who can't get out of his own way. What a train wreck of a man. Pretty sad.

That cuts two ways. If Republicans are claiming that Holder couldn’t ignore a Congressional subpoena in 2012, they can’t defend Giuliani now.

Unfortunately, American national politics is now devoid of rationality and consistency. Republicans will do exactly what you described.

The right wing talking heads are on TV and Twitter, telling them that Trump and company are not receiving due process (doesn’t apply) because there was no vote to start the inquiry (unnecessary). He is relying on the low-information voters to believe everything he says, because they don’t know any better. Most people who are tossing about the words “due process” have no idea what it means, or when it’s applicable. You can thank Hannity and Mark Levin for that.

Hannity and Levin: "Dance, puppets, dance."

Them: "Polka or square?"

It is willful and intentional ignorance.

When was complying with a subpoena optional? The party doesn't get to decline. If they do, it's contempt of Congress. I don't know if one can be disbarred for not complying.

Before I read all the posts in this thread, have the citizens of Trump Fan Nation come in to complain that this is a witch hunt and say it was different when Eric Holder ignored subpoenas and Rudy is a swell guy?

Congress doesn't have to recognize attorney client privilege, and this most certainly isn't a matter of Rudy giving legal advice to Trump.

So you have nothing.

Rudy isn't a member of government. He is a private citizen. Congress has no power over him.
The DOJ, now that's a different ballgame altogether.

Isn't it though? I can't believe he's the same man I admired so much pre- and post-911, and the same man I actually considered voting for in the NH primary. That man is gone, and has been replaced by a drooling, Trump leg humping caricature. It's pathetic.

I had that exact conversation with 2 people on Sunday. We all agreed that Giuliani is a perfect example of the diminished capacity of the aging and the surgical removal of the Republican party's honor, decency, and credibility. I actually considered him as presidential material after 9/11, but don't tell anyone else that.

I almost wet my pants when I heard what happened to Gaetz. What a ****ing moron he is.

You must be psychic!

That isn't true. Congress can subpoena documents, data, and testimony.

I never said they couldn't.
Try reading what I wrote.

I am just wondering if the likes of McConnell can ever be indicted on obstruction of justice charges. Their continued support for obstructing evidence, tax returns, witnesses, etc... has got to be criminal at this point.

I just looked it up because I hadn't heard. He showed up uninvited and then got mad that his name wasn't on the guest list? What a loser.

Congress members have pretty broad immunity. People like McConnell can probably only be held accountable by their constituents, which will never happen.

So do presidents. But that doesn't make them completely immune.

I don't know, because I am no lawyer. But I bet you a good lawyer good make a good case for obstruction charges against McConnell, Nunes, and the rest of the gang there.

He's a moron who made himself look even stupider. He isn't even on the House Intelligence Committee and as such was not allowed to be there. But he did manage to get Jim "I like to sit back and watch college boys get molested" Jordan to have a public meltdown about it, and he also parroted Trump by calling Schiff "Schifty Schiff". And here I thought it was just Trump's drooling fan base that parroted him. Who knew that Congressmen are Trump wannabes now too?

I saw him being interviewed on Fox and Friends this morning. It was so appalling to watch him talking to them about how much of a poor wittle victim he is, and talking like he had any right to be there, and having them giving him so much sympathy, and trying to act so outraged at "the left". Pathetic.

I watched him too. Not sure why I did it - it was like wearing a hair shirt or drilling your own teeth. But it was a train wreck I couldn't help but watch.

Pathetic. Truly pathetic. And the morons watching Foxy Friends swallowed every word out of his lying pathetic mouth.
