Bolton: Rudy Giuliani is 'a hand grenade who’s going to blow everybody up'

Former national security adviser John Bolton called President Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani "a hand grenade who’s going to blow everybody up," according to former Trump aide Fiona Hill.

During Monday's testimony that covered Hill's time as senior director for European and Russian affairs, she also revealed that Giuliani had been a primary catalyst in efforts from the White House to encourage Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden and his son Hunter. Hill noted that Giuliani had worked closely with Gordon Sondland, an ambassador to the European Union, and acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney as a rogue foreign policy operative.

"I am not part of whatever drug deal Sondland and Mulvaney are cooking up," Bolton said to Hill, according to witnesses of her Monday testimony. "Giuliani’s a hand grenade who’s going to blow everybody up."

Hill said Bolton directed her to notify chief White House counsel of the activity from the three men. She also described a confrontation with Sondland in which he informed her that he was in charge of dealings with Ukraine, a claim that Hill compared to Secretary of State Alexander Haig declaring himself "in control" of the U.S. government in 1981 after an assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan.

I'd say something bad about Giuliani here, but Bolton did it for me.

Giuliani does seem to be doing more harm than good.

Bolton?

Bolton hasn't said anything.

If he wants to refute under oath testimony, with his own under oath testimony, the House is keeping a seat warm for him.

And if he does, do you think Schiffty will tell you about it?

I don't.

Somebody else said it best: Prosecutors need to put Giuliani in front of a television camera and tell him he's on a news show, then they can ask him questions and he'll spill everything.

And if he does, do you think Schiffty will tell you about it?

I don't.

Republicans would leak anything they could if it supported their narrative.

And just like that, Bolton was the darling of the Democratic Party.

I don't think it's so much that as it is like watching a bad reality show where all of the roommates turn on each other. He just happens to be the one in the mix right now. Kind of like The Apprentice. Weird, isn't it?

And if he does, do you think Schiffty will tell you about it?

I don't.

Fictional cow-suer Ninny Nincompoop Nunes will tell us about it, and he's on the same Committee.

Nope, this is just schadenfreude watching Republicans eat their own.

So...that makes it okay when Schiffty prevents that...and does it himself?

In a room with a rapist, a pedophile, a murderer, a human trafficker and an honest guy who likes to start bar fights, you would appreciate the bar fight guy above all others. You wouldn't necessarily admire him, but you could certainly recognize that he's the least bad person in the bunch.

I've been reading that Bolton is almost as vindictive as Trump, which is saying something, and they crapped all over Bolton on his way out the door. Might prove to be a bad move in retrospect. SAD!

As is Rudy. His vindictiveness is legendary. This would be fun to watch if it wasn't making our nation's leadership look horrible.

You can thank John Boehner for giving so many committee chairs permanent subpoena power. As for me, I am entertained.

And if he does, do you think Schiffty will tell you about it?

I don't.

Do you think Fiona Hill had misquoted Bolton? I certainly don't. “I am not part of whatever drug deal Sondland and Mulvaney are cooking up.” That's a pretty unique and memorable phrase there, buddy. Not one you would soon forget, that's for sure

Fictional cow-suer Ninny Nincompoop Nunes should get to work then, because he's permitted to be there and chooses not to be.

???

Are you saying that Schiffty would stop his political corruption if Nunes was there?

I don't think so.
