Trump is making a tactical blunder here, imo. He should be calling on congress to exercise their authority. Dump this mess right where it belongs, on the laps of the big mouthes in congress. Force them to take ownership of what they want to happen.

What choice would they have if Trump puts it on them to do something.

If they want war, declare it.
They want sanctions, pass them.
Trump should absolutely use this opprotunity to load up their plate with work. Give them something to do other than impeaching him. Give them some busy work. He ought to rub a little salt in the wound by announcing thst he is waiting to impliment whatever congress passes from his golf course.

Yes, Trump should drop the giant turd he took on northern Syria right in Republican congressman's laps. That will help the embattled President facing impeachment... :thumbs:

Let me understand what you are trying to say, because it is bewildering. Trump had a private call with the President of Turkey and rashly agreed, without discussing with either the military or foreign policy experts, to move American forces away so Turkey can attack the Kurds, and this is somehow Congress' mess?

Trump created the problem by giving Turkey the go-ahead. That wasn't Congress.

It's fascinating that the "personal responsibility" conservatives don't take any personal responsibility. They just want to blame others for their mistakes.

Its interesting that the left has even abandoned one of its core tenets to find something to criticize trump over. I would expect neocons to be criticsl of the withdrawl but not progressives. They are the ones who preach the virtues of nonintervention and hold America responsible for the majority of aggression directed at us.

Force all these phoneys on the left to go on record for america to interfere with other nations unrest. Force them to offer a solution and force them to take ownership of it.

Funny how the Saudis are worth our 'intervention' but the Kurds aren't.

I dont blame congress for his withdrawal order. Thats his, he owns that. His opinion is clear.

Congress does not like his opinion. Thats a legitimate difference of opinion. Congress has the power to do things and they should take whatever action they feel is appropiate. As you guys like to remind everyone, Trump isnt king.

Congress pulls this crap all the time. They support something a president does until it goes sideways, then they make him the fall guy. Let congress decide what to do here and if it goes sideways this time, its on them.

I rather not be in saudi either but your not comparing apples to apples. We are there working together against a common enemy. If saudi and Israel were fighting it would be inappropriate for us to be there.

When members of Congress disagree with Trump his base goes crazy. Look at the hell the Con media and Trump's base put McCain through before and after he died.

For 8 years you guys whined about Obama's EO's, now Trump is signing EO's weekly, Even when he had ALL of Congress and all of a sudden Republicans don't care.

You want Congress to get involved? Then call out Trump's hypocrisy.. His purposely using EO's so he does NOT have to go to Congress. He's not a King? Then tell him to stop acting like one.

Wasn’t that long ago that the US and the Kurds were fighting a common enemy. Kurd casualties were disproportionate to ours. Trumps gives the go-a-head and it blows up in his face and now he is thrashing around hoping someone bails him out.....
