Trump continues his Delusional Rantings Tour with a repeated lie that you need ID to buy groceries.

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump said again on Friday that Americans need identification to buy groceries, which remains not true.

"You know, if you want to go out and buy groceries, you need identification. If you want to do almost anything you need identification.

Link

He has got to be the stupidest leader in the world.

Other lies included statements that you don't need ID to vote anywhere in the country (not true) and that he granted permits to an LNG company that other administrations had refused (Obama issued the permits).

No one does fake news better than Donald.

Take the hyperbole out of the message, and what do you have? You NEED ID to do most things in the U.S. "drink, buy cigarettes, drive, purchase a gun, etc, etc" The message is why wouldn't you need an ID for something as important as voting, when you need one for something insignificant as buying cigarettes?

Again, focuse on the message, not the hyperbole.

Trump has said some silly things to be sure. Does that make him worse than other politicians who have done the same thing? He claimed he had large crowd sizes in rallies. Warren claimed to be a minority Native American. Blumenthal claimed to be a Vietnam veteran. Hillary claimed she dodged bullets in Bosnia. There isn't room here to post everything Biden has claimed. Are all politicians human and given to errors? Of course.

Try buying groceries with a check and see if they don't ask for an ID.

The biggest problem I see with many of those who oppose the current Administration is their desire to see the absolute worst in everything done.

There is NO wiggle room. Every word and deed is measured in the most negatively weighted viewpoint scales possible and always comes up short.

It's gotten so bad that even assertions factually proven wrong, like the infamous "Nazis and white supremacists are very fine people," still come up over and over again.

Confirmation bias at it's best.

You need a ID to get a Library card in my town. Voting is pretty important I think a photo ID isn't to much to ask.

Yes it does, by far. No leader in the world today, and few in history, are more deluded than Donald Trump.

It's the single most important right that exists in a democracy, any effort to restrict it should be met with extreme skepticism and scrutiny.

When this is applied to the GOP's efforts on "securing elections," the real motive becomes clear and it's not election security.

Would you object if the Federal government were to provide photographic identifications free of charge to all citizens, Deuce?

Take the hyperbole out of your message and those are four things, not anywhere near "most things in the U.S." I could help you by mentioning boarding an aircraft, but that's just another thing.

Requiring an ID is not restricting it.

Once you make it a requirement, the next process is how to ensure everyone has one/can get one.....

One does not preclude the other.

Seriously?

Ok fine, you need an ID to work, drive, go to school, get into a government secured building, buy a car, buy a house, buy a goddamn scooter, buy a gun, hunt, fish, drive a boat, fly a plane etc,

I can keep going if you need to....but are you freaking serious?

So say those things instead of saying something stupid.

With so many options to choose from where ID is needed, it's weird someone picks a thing you don't need a license for, right?

Except now, people are talking about it.....and not ignoring it....

LOL funny how that works.

License and ID are different things, you realize that right?

In some cases, not all, if you apply for SNAP (food stamps) you will need an ID. some stores will want to see an ID when you pay using a snap card (or a cc or debt card). So while it true you don't NEED an ID to buy groceries. You do need ID to apply for government (like snap) programs, open a bank account, or get a PO box along with many other things.

"Don't pay attention to what Dear Leader says when he's obviously and ridiculously wrong!" :lamo

I don't use checks, like the majority of Americans, so no I will not see what happens.

You do not need an ID to buy groceries.
Unless you use cash an ID has been shown at some step of the process. I said TRY not what you generally do.

Try buying groceries with a check and no ID and see what happens.

I never have to show my ID except when I'm buying alcohol. :)

Yes, my bad I said license instead of ID.

You also realize you don't need an ID to buy groceries, right?

I agree, but you do need one to buy liquor, that is sometimes sold in a grocery store,

do you want to get bogged down in semantics, or actually listen to the message?

If all you do is focus on hyperbole, you won't go anywhere.

And still nary a "ID is important. So the "ID van" will be in your neighborhood next week. We have all the resources necessary to make sure you get the ID you need!" drive program from the folks who consider it ao important.

Just like we need a wall, but we don't need any pesky employer enforcement.

That how you can tell a conservative is lying.
