Fact check: Trump says again that Americans need ID to buy groceries. They still don't

I was not upset about either. I did not agree with Obama's leftist liberal policies, regardless of his race or religion.

No, I did not claim that. I said Obama kept his birth certificate hidden in the dark after first allowing a limited number of people to examine it. Some law enforcement officials said there was evidence of forgery in the document. Obama then hid the document from public view and refuses to this day to allow forensics experts to examine it and prove once for all that it is not a forgery.

You do to buy spray paint, and if you pay by check. Sometimes when you pay by credit card. So Trump isn't totally wrong on this; sometimes you do have to show ID. Maybe he pays by check. In any case, nitpicking. It's not the big things that make me think all you liberals have Trump Derangement Syndrome, it's the little nitpicking stuff like this that still gets your panties in a knot. I haven't in a couple of years and I'm 39. And there are plenty of people who don't need to because they don't purchase alcohol, and alcohol is not at all a necessity. Most would not really consider it part of groceries.

Additionally, it is not policy everywhere, nor is it policy for simply buying groceries in general, at all. In fact not providing ID would simply mean you couldnt purchase that one item, not that you would be turned away completely. And if you said, well that's all I was buying, well then you weren't really buying groceries, just alcohol.

And some stores also have the policy of not accepting a military ID card as proof of age. This happened to me. I didnt have to put back all my groceries though, the things I came for, just the alcohol (and vowed never to shop there again). They didnt turn me away from buying groceries though, just didnt let me purchase alcohol with my government ID.

And you think it is impossible that the certificate has been forged? Why so confident? Are there some presidents you think cannot and will not lie no matter what the facts show?

They don't write checks.....therefore they make the assumption that if they don't do it, and no one they knows does it, then NO ONE DOES IT.

It's how they lost in 2016, and it's how they are on track to lose 2020.

I can't with you. I'm sorry. I'm a member here to explore new ideas, challenge other people's ideas and have my ideas challenged, and interact with people who have all sorts of different ideas to keep my bubble larger rather than smaller. But I can't suffer birthers. When I want to explore the certifiably crazy side of humanity by talking about Obama's birth certificate and UFOs and how the earth is flat (and sometimes I do want to discuss those things), then I will find threads suited to those purposes.

Trump wasn't talking about spray paint and personal bank checks and credit cards. You made that up after the fact because that's what Trump supporters do every time they're trying to cover for another stupid, false word salad that tumbles out of the president's incompetent mouth. It's not the substantive policy positions like abortion, health care, immigration, and foreign policy that make me think some of you Trump supporters are brain dead. It's the absence of character that enables you to lie, distort, contort, defend, accept, exclude, and generally avoid reality that makes me long for a time when people at least tried to make sense.

I don't wish substance problems on anyone, but during his campaign I did think we would eventually learn that he was on drugs or drink. Apparently he is just the way he is, though, which is even more unsettling to me.

Nope, Trump used a bad example of ID required in daily life, likely because he has never done any grocery shopping. Rather than admit to that simple gaffe and move on, Trump and those wishing to let him get away with that nugget of senseless TrumpSpeak try to make up bizarre situations to make it seem "partly true".
