Trump, who has a long track record of calling for lawsuits against his critics and not following through, said, "We're going to take a look at it. We're going after these people. These are bad, bad people." The President was speaking at the Values Voter Summit in Washington, DC.
Trump said he spoke to his lawyers about Schiff and told them, "Sue him anyway, even if we lose, the American public will understand." Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence committee, is spearheading the impeachment inquiry.
"And sue Nancy Pelosi," Trump continued. "Or maybe we should just impeach them, because they're lying and what they're doing is a terrible thing for our country." Members of Congress cannot be impeached, according to the US Constitution.

The followers of President of the United States of America Donald trump are not demented. They are most certainly swayed by emotion, as are those who attend professional wrestling matches. [Ed.: The braggadocio exhibited in a President Trump rally holds a certain similarity to that of the wrestlers. A question exists in how much is staged in either venue.]

Many years ago a book made the rounds. The True Believer, written by Mr. Eric Hoffer in 1951, is still available and recommended as a source of insight into the motivation of, well, true believers.
 
Has Trump actually filed a lawsuit since becoming president? I doubt it, because that would put him in a position of being deposed. The last thing this administration needs is Donnie going under oath and on the record.

So, I'm calling BS. His rhetoric is just fantasy red meat for his base and his rallies. No substance to these threats whatsoever.

Just like claiming he was going to have Hillary investigated. Nothing ever came of it, because as AG Jeff Sessions testified "There would have to be a factual basis" to initiate an investigation and none exists.

So, Trump being Trump he's now moved on to Biden, since he is the presumed front runner. And since there is no basis for investigating Biden in the U.S., Trump has turned to other countries to "get the ball rolling." If they haven't already, Trumpsters will soon be chanting "lock him up! lock him up!" like lemmings flying off a cliff.
 
More of the same MO. This has been a tactic of his before he became president and was made public in a large way in Michael Cohen's testimony.

He often does not follow through on his lawsuits because he realizes that he would lose. Most juries are quite frankly prejudiced against President Trump.

No matter whether he is right or wrong, the juries will favor the defendants.

The law is very clear, Trump's lawsuit, if entered, would be deemed frivolous and Trump would be required to pay the defendant's costs.

Moreover, what a snowflake this guy is. He's constantly calling everyone names and insulting their families but can't take it. If he sues, they should counter-sue for liable and defamation.
 
Remember when he said he was going to sue all of those women who say he did various sexual things to them?

Yeah...
 
Seems like Trump needs a safe space. A couple extra hours of Executive Time should do the trick.

Actually, he does not follow through on his lawsuits because he realizes that he would lose simply because his lawsuits have no merit. The Roy Cohen tactic is to sue in order to scare the defendant. The Democrats aren't afraid of his scare tactics.

He’s.playing the victim card.

One which he has played consistently since he rode the esculator.

Victimhood of one of the core values of the white resentment that drives the Trump base.

He shouted from the outset that he was the victim of the press, the imaginary “deep state”, and pledged to “drain the swamp”

He’s spooling up an exit strategy. He plans to go out as a folk hero and a martyr to the Limbaughloonies, and he will tour the heartland promoting “their cause” and getting them to throw their money at him.

He’ll need to.

The Russians are going to cash him out of his real estate once he’s served his purpose.

They’ll probably take care of Melania. Maybe a castle in Slovenia.
