US veterans condemn Trump for allowing wholesale slaughter of allies in Syria

I don't know if he'll pay or not. And simply because people are often hysterical and idiotic in their attacks against Trump is not an excuse for him making strategically stupid decisions that severely harm the United States.

Seeing as Trump is the only one who's feet are being held to the flame over this. I don't have a problem with him making the decision that plenty have been hoping to come around for some time now.
I would like it more if both of these people could stick to the cease fire, or if anyone in that region could hold to any of the treaties that had been called upon. Though I'd be more happy to see the UN come in and assert their power on the issue as well.

The US cannot and should not be the worlds police force. I got tired of this during Bush Jr's administration and I don't like the idea of it continuing.

Seeing as he had to make a choice. Something tells me the lot of you would be looking for a way to whine about it, not matter what.

Yes, he had to make a choice. President of Turkey said "I want to slaughter the kurds."

Trump said "Have at 'em!"

Well, he made an incredibly stupid and destructive decision, so....

 we had a "cease fire" before Trump decided to green-light an invasion by the seat of his pants. If you want it to hold, your beef should be with the current White House resident who originally tossed it aside.

The U.S. has a strategic interest in putting down groups like ISIS when they rise to that level. It doesn't matter if you like it or not, that interest will remain.

So it's still just "**** Trump" instead of being upset that the cease fire was ignored as soon as the police stopped patrolling?

"**** Trump"?

Eh. A useless sentiment.

Accurate assessment, however, would still point out that he definitely ****ed up on a major level on this, creating operational and likely strategic harm to the U.S. This was a huge, unforced error; easily the equivalent (if not somewhat worse) of Obama's failed Red Line debacle.

Alright, I don't like everything about us pulling out of Syria. But this had to happen, because we couldn't just stay there forever and many of us have been wanted our troops out of there for a long time now. We didn't want to go there to even begin with and I don't like the fact that they couldn't play nice the moment we turned out backs.

I hated us getting pulled into this, much like I hated almost all of Obama's foreign policy. But I'm going to stay adamant that Trump has been better on his own policy, then Obama was. Extrajudicial murder be damned.
