What a S T R E T C H!
Working with people does not make you BFF's..... It's Washington.... everyone is connected with one or two degrees of separation.
I have worked with lots of people in my career; very, very few I would call friends. If my colleagues committed crimes, I would say something. In fact, even though I have a professional career, I have worked with two people that are now serving time for murder (domestic issues; one an Ernst & Young partner). They were not my friends then and they certainly are not my friends now. Because these people were NOT my friends, I had no idea about their personal lives. I just worked with them. They were ships that passed through my life.
We heard throughout the Mueller investigation that he was best buds with Comey. No, they were contemporary colleagues; not best buds.
This whole line of reasoning that if you know someone you would fall on a grenade for them, as Trump would have you believe, is a stretch of logic into the realm of illogical.
Oh they were more than simple contemporaries.
They both worked for Lockheed Martin in tandem and each benefited in those civilian positions from each other.
But that's for a different thread.
