Pelosi Warns of ‘New Stage’ of Inquiry if Trump Blocks Whistle-Blower Complaint

Re: Pelosi Warns of ‘New Stageâ€[emoji769] of Inquiry if Trump Blocks Whistle-Blower Complaint

I hate to admit it, but it is true that if President Trump would exercise zip-a-lock, he and we would be better off.

I didn't mean to assign you to any party.

My last statement didn't even reveal my own. My idea was that the whole bunch need's to be run out of D.C.

Regards,
CP
Solid concur on that.

Re: Pelosi Warns of ‘New Stageâ€[emoji769] of Inquiry if Trump Blocks Whistle-Blower Complaint

It already happened; in 2016. The FBI spied on a presidential campaign.
Wrong. That was an abuse of a more limited domestic power.

And if you think it was wrong to do so, you have no business cheering another President for doubling down on that sort of abuse now.

Or do you think it was fine?

Re: Pelosi Warns of ‘New Stageâ€[emoji769] of Inquiry if Trump Blocks Whistle-Blower Complaint

The first part, where it's destructive and bad for the long term health of our Republic.

This is dangerous, and abusive, and wrong. Had Obama pulled some **** like this, we'd have lost our damn minds. Heck, we were pissed when some minor functionaries at the IRS tried crap like this.

Sure. With the caveat that he can also be impeached in the mean time. That is the way it works. :)

If you don't like the result of having multiple parties, feel free to move to a state where they enjoy single party rule. I hear they have good food in China, if not North Korea.

Wrong. The abuses of each side become the pathetic excuses used for revenge by the other in a net negative spiral. When a President does something like what Trump did, he sets a precedent for the next Democrat President to feel no compunctions about matching or even one-upping him on.

The evidence is pretty flimsy, I'm surprised you're ready to impeach already. Obama did secret things in Ukraine, and now we find out Brennan was involved. If you want to get someone for trying to dig up dirt on political opponents, you better be ready to indict a ****load more people than just Trump. I mean, come on! You know better. I get you never liked Trump, but this is not the right way to get rid of him.

The evidence is on the page. Trump has ordered subordinates to break the law (though they didn't, thank goodness), and pushed Ukraine to investigate a domestic rival, bringing the massive influence of U.S. foreign policy on a small nation fighting of a Russian invasion to affect it.

Obama did secret things in Ukraine, and now we find out Brennan was involved

Well I would hope so - that was his job.

If you want to get someone for trying to dig up dirt on political opponents, you better be ready to indict a ****load more people than just Trump

It's not digging up dirt on opponents that's wrong. It's weaponizing U.S. global influence against domestic opponents that's wrong, just as it's wrong to weaponization the IRS against conservative groups, or the FBI against a candidate you find personally atrocious.

I mean, come on! You know better. I get you never liked Trump, but this is not the right way to get rid of him.

Either we defend the norm that US politicians should not be allowed to use the power of government to suppress domestic opposition, or we give it up. I don't like Trump. But, more importantly, I want our Republic to last.

Democrats don't want a Republic, get a clue!

Please do me the favor of replying paragraphically. You surely have points to be made for consideration, but I find it too difficult to reply to the Cut and paste method. I honestly don't know how to assemble a reply to that format.

Thank you.

There is mention of him illegally classifying political dirt as secret on a secret server and actually Trump admits to asking the Ukraine to investigate Biden's son and the Clinton emails....which is illegal to do. Can you tell us why he sent his personal attorney 10 times to talk with the prosecutor in the Ukraine when Guliani doesn't work for the government and doesn't have security clearance?

SECRET server? How do you know of it? Do you have security clearance, or do think the NYT does?

Pelosi Warns of ‘New Stage’ of Inquiry if Trump Blocks Whistle-Blower Complaint - The New York Times

Without mentioning impeachment, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said President Trump’s refusal to hand over the whistle-blower complaint would trigger a “new chapter of lawlessness.”

“The administration is endangering our national security and having a chilling effect on any future whistle-blower who sees wrongdoing,” Speaker Nancy Pelosi wrote in a letter on Sunday.

WASHINGTON — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Sunday called on the Trump administration to promptly turn over a secret whistle-blower complaint said to relate to President Trump’s attempts to press Ukraine to investigate his leading Democratic presidential rival, warning that a refusal to do so could force the House to open a new phase in its investigation of him.

In a letter to fellow House Democrats, Ms. Pelosi never mentioned the word “impeachment,” but her remarks appeared to hint at the possibility that the newest revelations about Mr. Trump’s conduct — and the administration’s refusal to share the complaint with Congress — might be enough to prompt her and other leading Democrats to drop their resistance to moving forward with official charges against the president.

Now that this cat is finally out of the bag, I wonder where the country will go next?

So she's already loaded in two new rounds and has aimed that barrel right at her other foot now... great.

I'm sure Democrats will be writing extremely stern letters tomorrow.

Honest question Cardinal. Are you even remotely as tired of this political runaround, as I am?

Of course you're talking about that poster name calling and saying Hunter Biden is a dope.

You may be referring to me...
Wow! You have exception to me referring to Hunter Biden as a dope? I still declare that! But, let's play Democratic House, and now you prove he is innocent of the accusation! Tough to disprove a negative, isn't it? Now that you see that, stop joining in with the "Impeach because he can't prove he didn't" group!

You referred to folks who think as I do as uneducated I don't believe you can prove that either, but give it a swing if you believe you can! Could be fun!

By the way; Thanks for the creative Pyramid chart. Did you create it?

For the chief of the executive party to ask another nation for help in the investigation of crime is not only acceptable, it is mandated by the office. Once again, I am in awe of the Democratic machine's ability to deflect and twist the issue. They have turned a blind eye to the clear nepotism and arm twisting of the Obama administration to then assault the duly elected President.

No, actually it's not acceptable especially when there is no investigation and you are sending your private attorney to do State's business

So Democrat willingness to undermine and tear at to he Republic means Republicans should do so as well?

Well there's a path downwards.

There's nothing to confess on that. That Executive level interactions call be confidential is normal, and desirable.

Actually though the server in question is left for top secret only...a conversation where he violates his oath is not appropriate to store away on our servers meant for communication about terrorism and so forth.
My question is to you, do you love the country or will you abandon your country and principles to protect Trump, a man who doesn't even know your name or care to?

What was Hunter Biden accused of?

You are welcome. Very childlike to write that what you don't agree with, or won't understand, is stupid. I am surprised you don't also write my post was from an old meanie and a doody head! Thank you for that.
I hereby grant you first hand knowledge of stupid. I support Trump, did you have something to say about my education? May I see what makes you associate me with the uneducated, perhaps including even yourself?

I don't call people little kiddy names. You're confusing me with the President of the United States and his loyal fan base.

"New stage of inquiry"? without mentioning "impeachment"? “new chapter of lawlessness” ?

:lamo

She might as well have said "we will look funny at you again"!

It's worse than that. Constant investigations of Trump are an interference in the 2020 (and presumably 2019) election. A conspiracy. A collusion.
I mean, what evidence do dems have to launch all these investigations? Do dems think they are a part of a special prosecutor investigation like Mueller's investigation?

Dragging their feet on impeachment also protects moderate democrats who won't have to face anti-impeachment voters

Democrats should have a united reason for impeachment. It could be a simple party leadership issue.

The problem is dems don't have any evidence for an impeachment inquiry. They think they can launch a special prosecutor's investigation like the Mueller investigation. What I mean by that is investigate then find evidence then impeach. All the while, negative press is being heaped upon Trump.

EDIT: The rule of law is being kicked to the curb. The presumption of innocence is being kicked to the curb.

Actually they do and according to a new poll 52% of Americans agree

A simple and legal difference between a DOJ special counsel and a Congressional special counsel.

Clinton was worried about a blow job because of the right wing.
