Re: Trump Repeatedly Pressed Ukraine President to Investigate Biden's Son

If the "whistleblower" wanted to be the point man in talking to foreign officials, they should have run for president.

Another pseudoevent manufactured by the deep state and pushed by democrat allies/operatives/media...They are one and the same.

It is not like the investigation would be difficult.

Biden has already admitted to extortion publicly.

They're NOT "being circulated all over the executive branch". DNI had a legal question and sought DOJ guidance.

The DNI is not the IG. Neither is the DOJ or the White House Counsel. There is no legal question. The law plainly states that these complaints are to be given by the IG to Congress. The DOJ and White House do not have the legal authority to stop it.

An honest president would release the complaint if he knew he was innocent...

Re: Trump Repeatedly Pressed Ukraine President to Investigate Biden's Son

Its these kind of comments that we wind up with this TDS thing and why the anti-Trumpers wind up being perpetually frustrated:

]Jeremy Bash on MSNBC just now on the show Deadline: White House. Jeremy Bash is a national security analyst for MSNBC, former chief of staff for the Dept. of Defense (20112013) and the Central Intelligence Agency (20092011).

I'm paraphrasing, so this is not a 100% accurate transcript.
Bash: Assuming the reports are true I see three crimes here

    1. Extortion by the President, using a threat of withholding aid to obtain something of value.
So its the opinion of a this national security expert that the USA is OBLIGATED to send money to foreign countries, no strings attached?

Extortion is basically threatening somebody and saying if you don't give me something I'm going to harm you. If you don't give me what I want, support in my election, I'm going to withhold military support.
As above. And as somebody else has mentioned, why is there a problem with finding dirt on political opponents in foreign countries? I thought that was an act of heroism.

    2. Conspiracy to engage in extortion between the President and Rudy
No idea what this is about.

    3. Conspiracy to violate federal election law between the President and Rudy to obtain foreign interference in the U.S. election.
Oh-- so there was a conspiracy with russia in the 2016 election? It just that it was between Mrs. Clinton and Russia when she hired folks to find anti-Trump dirt that country. And maybe President Obama since it was his administration which actually used it against an American citizen.

Agreement by two people to engage in a criminal act, and they have to take an overt act, a specific act in furtherance of the conspiracy. They engaged in a meeting of the minds to have Rudy go to Ukraine and obtain foreign interference in the U.S. election to benefit Donald Trump.
    As above.

Who also works for the president. Schiff is the check and balance on the president, not the DOJ or the DNI.

Yeah, the "I don't trust Schiff not to leak it" defense doesn't hold water. If it really is innocuous but privileged information, then let Schiff see it, since he does have the authority to see privileged information as it relates to a whistleblower complaint. If he then leaks it to the press, Trump can indict him and get him out of there. It's win win.

The trump cultists are just tossing out the usual chaff, whataboutism and gaslighting, they can't actually face any reality, as usual.

Even though this mess belongs with the gang of eight, we know that McConnell will not release it, as per his actions in September of 2016 on Russia interfering in the 2016 election.
