Muscovite kleptocracy does not want to stop ATTACKING USA ...Question, which side will take trump this time ? KGB/OZERO or FBI /CIA?

"Exclusive: russia carried out a 'stunning' breach of FBI communications system, escalating the spy game on U.S. soil

The operation, which targeted FBI communications, hampered the bureau’s ability to track Russian spies on U.S. soil at a time of increasing tension with Moscow, forced the FBI and CIA to cease contact with some of their Russian assets, and prompted tighter security procedures at key U.S. national security facilities in the Washington area and elsewhere, according to former U.S. officials. It even raised concerns among some U.S. officials about a Russian mole within the U.S. intelligence community."

What does Trump have to do with this? It happened on Obama's watch.

If anything, I'm thinking Trump and his people need to be looking at who these "former U.S. officials" are, who are revealing what is likely classified information to the media.

It involves Trump in that some will expect him to respond to Russia in some way, either berating them, sanctioning them, or some combination of things.

There is a sub-narrative that Trump doesn't want to call Russia on things, because they have influence with him of some sort or another.

And what makes you think Trump hasn't already...within his administration...taken steps to deal with this?

Your "sub-narrative" is baseless nonsense. Dismissed.

So, you are saying the answer to his question is obvious.

Agree.

I never said it was MY narrative.
It's a narrative I've heard/read of before now.

And I don't know whether Trump/his admin have done anything to deal with this behind the scenes.
There almost always needs to be a public component of any response to such a thing, and we haven't seen that yet.

Like kissing Putin's ass again with a promise to blow him on their next meet.

Trump lets them in the front door.

What does Trump have to do with this?

Knowing that Russia was interfering in our elections on his behalf in 2016, doing/saying nothing, and in fact openly welcoming it?

Openly inviting Russia to hack Hillary's emails and welcoming it?

Ditto 2018?

Ditto 2020, and on top, getting the GOP to actively fight any and all attempts to beef up election security?

Gee, I wonder. But then, I'm not being paid to actively cast doubt on these things 24/7, so maybe my thinking differs from certain others.

Well, gee.......let’s see......

Could it be the way Trump and McConnell have worked studiously to prevent any legislation having to do with preventing interference of foreign intelligence agencies on US elections........

Or maybe it could be all the Russians who trooped in and out of the Trump campaign.

It could be the way Trump has repeatedly tried to undo the Obama era sanctions, without success.

Or it could be Trump’s track record in real estate which is largely dependent on Russian money.

This took place in 2010. How is this breaking news? And what does this have to do with Trump? Shouldnt you be asking what Obama did in response?

There won't be a "public component" to classified activity.

That's all nonsense and it has no relation to the events talked about in the news article.

So no...Trump has nothing to do with this issue.

Obama sent a couple of dozen Russians home in disgrace. The problem is that now Trump and Moscow Mitch are fighting against doing anything to defend the next election.

We don't need legislation to prevent interference.

We already know that no Russians trooped in and out of the Trump campaign.

Trump has applied more sanctions on Russia than Obama did.

Trump's past real estate activity has nothing to do with anything he's done in his Presidency.

Sorry...your trumped up nonsense doesn't stick.

Like I said...

It really does amaze me the way some people act like everyone else is waiting for them to admit or agree with something for it to be true, as if their typing "dismissed" matters. Your words mean nothing. Whether or not you admit it is relevant to thread means nothing.

50kish posts, of nothing, just stupid useless noise. Hope it was worth it to you.

There won't be a "public component" to classified activity.
Obviously not.

I was referring to the public statement at a press conference and whatnot.
That's kinda a standard component of responses to such things, if they become a topic of public discussion.

Trump has killed more Russians than Obama did.

shrug...

It's not my fault you are stuck on spin cycle.

That's kinda a standard component of responses to such things, if they become a topic of public discussion.

The only statement a press conference should get is this: "We don't comment on classified issues."

Look. Just because someone illegally leaks classified information, don't expect anyone from the Trump administration to comment on it. It won't happen. Sorry if that breaks your TDS-ridden heart.

Trump has killed more Russians than Obama did.

Yes, I'm sure that is true. I don't know the total numbers, but I do recall Trump giving the go-ahead for US forces to light up around 200 Russian mercenaries.

shrug...

It's not my fault you are stuck on spin cycle.

That's half a ruble.

Plus, if you put colons around "shrug", you get

PS: but don't start using it, or else each time I can show I taught you how to shrug.

I mean, McConnell could let the senate vote on it. I guess he's too busy lobbying to lift sanctions on Oleg Deripaska so that a new $200 million Rusal plant could open in Kentucky.

You know, Oleg Deripaska, the Oligarch who Manafort gave internal Campaign polling data too.

Trump called the biggest round of sanctions that he signed "seriously flawed" and he would have vetoed it, had it not passed with a veto proof majority. The only other round of sanctions he actually imposed was against the 13 Russian hackers and the internet research agency. The rest were imposed by Treasury and Commerce. And while the administration has passed more rounds of sanctions, their economic impact is considerably smaller than those passed by Obama.

Except, pushing the GSA to cancel the move of the FBI headquarters, even though rebuilding on site is more expensive, so that his DC hotel across the street won't have to compete with a development that replaces it. Trying to host the G8(with Putin readmitted) at Doral. Lying about the Trump tower Moscow project. Making money whenever he, or members of his administration, or other government employees visit his properties.
