US attorney recommends proceeding with charges against McCabe, as DOJ rejects last-ditch appeal

Exactly. What does your post about Flynn, and Papadopolous, on the first page of this thread have to do with the OP?

That's how we know this is a politically motivated attack on McCabe. You guys can't talk about it without referencing it as some sort of revenge on McCabe.
Flynn and PapaD are charged or convicted of lying to the FBI just exactly like McCabe will likely be.

Look, if you are willing to break the law, violate the Constitution, destroy our institutions because you think overturning one supreme court case and kicking out illegal immigrants will bring Jesus back, you're not a Conservative, you're a right-wing Authoritarian extremist.

There is no policy or political position more important than the Republic itself.

And selling your soul to a demagogue is not an indication you're a conservative, it's an indication you are a mean-spirited, small-minded, immoral, unethical, authoritarian bully.

No, Democrats are not conservative in terms of their policy proposals, but they believe in our institutions, the rule of law, and the idea that we have formal legal and political processes which are important to resolving internal disputes and making decisions as a country. The position of conservatives as demonstrated by the Trump supporters in this thread is that half of the country shouldn't be allowed to participate in the governing of their country, that they do not deserve the same rights, and aren't entitled to live under the same legal and political system. I disagree.

And you see this demonstrated by the way "conservatives" talk and the way they act.

I won't participate in the destruction of our Republic because Trump supporters were never taught to be good citizens. Not going to happen.

I reject the "by any means" necessary approach so-called conservatives have been taking. People like Barr willing to do and say anything to make sure the so-called conservative agenda is advanced. I reject this approach entirely.
What does this post have to do with the OP. You are new here and may not have read the rules . You have been nicely ask to stay on topic so please do.

3. Baiting/Flaming/Trolling - To bait someone in a general sense is to make a comment with a purposeful intent to coerce some form of response from the individual. In some cases this device can be a useful tool of debate, eliciting responses to highlight a point or reveal an underlying truth concerning someone’s argument. However, in other cases the intent of the bait is less focused on debating. “Flamebaiting” is making statements intended to cause an angry or emotional response/flame from the person. Another form of baiting is known as “derailing” or “thread-jacking”. This is deliberate act of making statements with an aim of diverting the topic of a thread significantly from its main focus. These negative forms of baiting constitute a rules violation that can potentially lead to a suspension of posting privileges.

There is another poster called Trump posting in this thread. What do Trump's potshots at me have to do with the OP?

Should I just let someone criticize me and take potshots at me without responding?

PM him

This idea that I have to communicate privately to someone that makes public posts criticizing me is stupid.

And in every other post, in every other thread, you personally, are posting ridiculous often false and irrelevant whataboutisms that everyone else has to spend pages refuting.

So you can knock it off.

If a grand jury turns the case down, then a conviction, which needs a higher standard of evidence, is unlikely to say the least. Prosecution would be a waste of taxpayers money, but Trump never shirks squandering other peoples' cash even when in pursuit of his petty hatreds.

Yep Trump did not violate 18 U.S.C. § 1001 or Mueller would have pointed it out in the Mueller report. Trump had no obligation to disclose the Stormy Daniels payments. Now please return to the topic of the thread. Thanks.

No, that was outside the scope of the Mueller Investigation. If Trump were going to be charged with an 18 U.S.C. § 1001, he would be charged by the U.S. Attorney for DC(is it against forum rules to talk about Jessie Liu in this thread?)

From Trump's 2018 financial disclosure

OGE has concluded that the information related to the payment made by Mr. Cohen is required to be reported and that the information provided meets the disclosure requirement for a reportable liability

Too bad he didn't report it in 2017, when he was required to.

Trump's hush money payments to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal was not within the scope of the special counsel's investigation and was farmed out to the SDNY.

THIS THREAD IS ABOUT McCABE . STOP TRYING TO DERAIL THE THREAD!!!!!

For Christ's sake you're the one that brought Obama and Flynn among others in this thread. You're not a moderator and no one in their right mind would appoint you to be one. So what do you say you knock it off with the self-righteous BS.

The case is closed. There was no violation of the law by Trump.

Its not closed. Trump remains an unnamed co-conspirator in in a case that the SDNY has jurisdiction over.

He lied to the FBI concerning internal matters. It's a federal crime. They also determined he leaked sensitive information for his own personal benefit. The man is possibly in deep deep trouble. I bet there are some nervous folks about now.

Once again in connection to what criminal or counter-intelligence investigation? This was an internal affairs disciplinary investigation.

“no one is above the law, even the President” so sayith Nadler and others.
Another DIMM talking point. They all seem to have taken injections of this phrase. Candidates, officials, legislator’s and even the talking heads. Can someone please tell the Illegal’s about this. They seem to have not gotten the word. Send a 411 to all people crossing our border who seem to believe that the law doesn’t apply to them.

When the DIMMs saw their Collusion plan go up in smoke, they stopped with the law breaking angle and switched to purely political objections. there are no laws that Trump has broken that they can point to. anyone? care to name a LAW that Trump has broken. don't be shy, step right up. high crimes and misdemeanors is a nebulous opinion, used to punish an opponent.

LOL! Trump cures cancer! That's funny! Trump is a cancer upon our democracy that needs to be surgically removed come 2020.

Lol, Sorta like "Drain the Swamp" right?

Wow. You are very knowledgable about this topic. I had no idea.

It looks like SLC's point is D.O.A.

Been following this for quite awhile. Unfortunately.

Lol, Sorta like "Drain the Swamp" right?

I don't know if you can even assign that to 'it's the thought that counts' category seeing as though Trump has been a swamp denizen for quite some time.

It would seem apparent that the issue is prosecuting McCabe for lying under oath and the outrage that is causing in some quarters.
Yes, as the minimum requirement, getting a grand jury indictment, was apparently not met.

Lady justice

McCabe should be sentenced to emptying Flynn's bed pan

So you're saying he should empty it once then?

44 pages of evidence of how Trump apologists have totally bought into this White House generated conspiracy theory.

Investigate the investigators!!!!!

Well, after the much promoted Horowitz Report landed with a yawn, the noise machine needs a new act.

So, persecuting McCabe is it.

It gives them an excuse to try and bring up the Clinton’s yet again (this has been going on for 25 years now), and beat the
Benghazi drum.

They need a counter narrative for the day when Trump’s obstruction efforts finally fail, and the witnesses documented in the Mueller Report appear on live tv before Congress to tell folks what’s in the report.

They need to try and blow that off the screen, and substitute a classic case of whataboutism.
But first, they have to convince a grand jury to indict, so they can set up their show trial.

What is he lying about? Obama did say he would close gitmo but he failed. Even the democrats in congress opposed him if memory serves me right. Anyhow even the far left progressive fact checkers at politico admit that its a broken promise.

The Obameter: Close the Guantanamo Bay Detention Center | PolitiFact

Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

He lied when he said Obama promised to close Gitmo on his first day in office while on the campaign trail in 2008. As I've already said repeatedly in this thread and you seem to have as big a reading comprehension issue with as the other Trump devotees do.

The origin of the problem for McCabe is that the Obama DOJ had pressured him to drop an investigation into the Clinton Foundation. He refused, the DOJ dropped the matter, McCabe subsequently leaked what had happened and then lied about it to investigators.
Obama does have something to do with the subject.

You obviously didn't read the OP. It has nothing to do with Obama. Obama didn't force McCabe to leak or lie.

 Oh please:roll: I'm from Orange Texas its the last stop on I 10 before crossing the Sabine into Louisiana. We had a saying: When you cross over the Sabine into Louisiana your IQ drops 50 points.

Wow. And you guys always complain about those coastal elites trashing on other americans. Just another example of "do as I say, not as I do" from conservatives/trump supporters. No surprise there.
