Look, if you are willing to break the law, violate the Constitution, destroy our institutions because you think overturning one supreme court case and kicking out illegal immigrants will bring Jesus back, you're not a Conservative, you're a right-wing Authoritarian extremist.
There is no policy or political position more important than the Republic itself.
And selling your soul to a demagogue is not an indication you're a conservative, it's an indication you are a mean-spirited, small-minded, immoral, unethical, authoritarian bully.
No, Democrats are not conservative in terms of their policy proposals, but they believe in our institutions, the rule of law, and the idea that we have formal legal and political processes which are important to resolving internal disputes and making decisions as a country. The position of conservatives as demonstrated by the Trump supporters in this thread is that half of the country shouldn't be allowed to participate in the governing of their country, that they do not deserve the same rights, and aren't entitled to live under the same legal and political system. I disagree.
And you see this demonstrated by the way "conservatives" talk and the way they act.
I won't participate in the destruction of our Republic because Trump supporters were never taught to be good citizens. Not going to happen.
I reject the "by any means" necessary approach so-called conservatives have been taking. People like Barr willing to do and say anything to make sure the so-called conservative agenda is advanced. I reject this approach entirely.
