Everyone from elected dog catcher to President should disclose his/her tax returns.

If they had to do so, a lot of people would decide NOT to run for office, including some current United States Reps and Senators.

In other words, you want endless investigations of Trump but no investigations of the left. Sorry to disappoint you but Barr is working on it and McCabe is going to be the first of many victims. The shoe is on the other foot now, just in time for the coming up election.

Actually, I think we need to quit with the endless nonsense investigations and get back to running the country but Democrats aren't on board with that. Even though the election is just around the corner, they prefer to waste the country's time on witch hunts to get Trump with obsessed revenge. No Russian collusion, obstruction of justice is in the twilight zone, and now the left want to get Trump for drawing on weather maps. Democrats are abusing their power for political purposes.

What do the "endless investigations" of Trump have to do with no relationship between Schumer and Epstein? Are you suggesting that we should investigate you too because of Trump? What's your connection to Epstein, besides the fact that you proudly admitted to having no issue with pedophiles? That should be good enough for an investigation, right?

What does McCabe have to do with this? Did you stumble into the wrong thread again?

I don't either. That's not what I've done. If I may make a harmless suggestion, you might ask a few people who do not know you to read a sampling of your posts and see what they think. Maybe I'm just receiving you wrong, but I don't believe that you're here for reasonable debate either. People who say "spewing a bunch of left wing rhetoric talking points" entered the conversation with a prepackaged agenda and a chip on their shoulders. I don't refuse to have reasonable debate. I just don't enjoy talking with you. Take a look at my still short posting history if you feel so inclined. I perused yours.

It's possible some people could be seeing me wrong because if the left want to play biased partisan game BS and be PC SJW's robot Trump obsessed haters then I am going to slap them in the face as hard as I can. For many decades now I have been a moderate right, slightly conservative independent, who votes a mix of both parties. I voted for B Clinton second time around, Gore in 2000, and Obama the second time around. I rolled my eyes one hell of a lot when Obama was president and the right did and said nonsense against him. I also vote Republican and independent. I have voted for at least one Democrat in every single election. Since I am slightly conservative I am now finding it harder and harder to vote Democratic because the party is moving way too far left for me. And, as I said, if the left is going to present far left nonsense then I am going to slap them in the face as hard as I can.

Well, we have that in common. I've never registered with a political party. I despise both of the major ones and don't like solicitations in election cycles. I have voted for more Democrats and third parties at the national level, more Republicans and third parties at the local level, and more Republicans and Democrats at the state level. The Democratic party is moving too far left for me; and the Republican party is obsolete to me. It's not even "rightish" anymore. It's just a Trump cult. So I watch it all with horror and have all but dilited my political hopes to mere decency, civility, and rationality rather than any concrete policies (with some exceptions that I partially detailed in a separate post to you).

Since Al Gore invented the internet and the expansion of social media, both sides have moved away from the center and into their respective corners, fighting a never ending boxing match where both believe the stakes to be winner take all. Both parties believe that when you win an election 50.1% to 49.9% it gives you a mandate to cram your values and policies down the throats of the 100%. And both sides make sure we head in that direction by eating their own and shoving any centrists over the gangplank. I was registered as independent for many years but in my state that gives you no one to vote for in primaries so, being slightly conservative and moderate right, I registered as a Republican so that I could vote in the primaries that more closely matched my ideals. I didn't vote for Trump in either the primaries or the general and might not vote for him in 2020 but, if it means stopping a far left socialist from being president, I will gladly hold my nose and fill in the Trump bubble.

How many pleads of the fifth and immunity deals were given during the Clinton investigations? Obama's DOJ made sure that no one could be charged with anything.

Thankfully I live in a state that has open primaries. We can only vote in one party's caucus, but we don't have to register with a party.

You twist my words because that is the only way you know how to debate. I do vote for some Democrats every election. I voted for B Clinton, Al Gore, and Obama. My mayor is Democrat and has done a fine job. Being a Democrat in a so called red state, he can't get too crazy with TDS. So, he does his job and keeps his mouth shut. All politicians should actually be like that.
