For one thing, the administration's rosy projections just a year ago envisioned interest rates substantially *higher* than what we actually have.

And we have people buying the faux story. The only way we'd be in a recession in a strong economy is if we acted as if unemployment is way up, employment is way down, taxes skyrocketed, and all businesses tanked. But the reality is none of that is happening, except in the most Leftist of states because the cost of living is extremely high and the rules and regulations are extremely strict (i.e. California, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, and any place ran and dominated by the Leftist population). Please, Mr Moderator, move this thread to Conspiracy Theories and people buying into this fake news can feel better there because this is nothing new. Thank You!

even though there is no evidence that a recession is coming. things might slow a bit but that is the typical nature of an economy at some point, however if you look at the numbers
everything is still looking good. only if you want to push a false narrative do you want the economy to tank.
You will have to actually empirically demonstrate it. Recessions happen because of structural or systemic faults. Ive consistently held that animal spirits are a result, not the cause.

Six in 10 Americans say a recession is likely in the next year and as many are concerned about higher prices because of the trade war with China, helping to knock 6 points off President Donald Trump’s job approval rating in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll.

Trump fell from a career-high 44% approval in July to 38% now, a point off his career average, with 56% disapproving. His average rating since taking office remains the lowest on record for any modern president at a comparable point in his term, and he is the first never to have achieved majority approval.

Now I feel even better about putting my extra cash into gold & silver.

The folding money in your pocket or wallet is worth less today than it was last night. A 1964 dime, worth ten cents at the time, is 90% silver & is worth $1.40 today. A $5 roll of dimes in 1964 is worth $71 today.
People are worried about a recession that hasn't occurred in the US and if it occurs in the US will be caused by the non-American economy. Suddenly, Trump is responsible for the world's economy.

actually tax cuts have been doing very well for people. 80% of americans received a tax cut.
they are paying less taxes than they were.

more minorities and women are employed
salaries and wages have gone up by a big amount.
there are now a ton of jobs being created.

why are you mad? you should be happy that people have more money
and there are plenty of jobs for people and that wages are gone up.

ol yea it means that trump is doing a good job.
his biggest effort was lifting billions of obama regulations that was costing businesses.
You don't have to go over the standard talking points, which have been repeatedly debunked.

Economic growth is no better than under Obama (graph)
    Wage growth has slowed (BLS)

First, remember how slashing corporate tax rates was going to lead to a surge in ordinary workers’ wages? It didn't happen.
Second, the main beneficiaries of targeted tax cuts tend, consistently, to be a small group of wealthy individuals. Another provision of the 2017 law was a provision supposedly intended to help small businesses; in fact, 61 percent of the provision’s benefits are flowing to the top 1 percent of households. Remember, during the 2016 campaign Donald Trump pretended to be different, claiming that he would actually raise taxes on the rich? Trump has also suggested using executive authority to reduce taxes on capital gains (which are overwhelmingly paid by the wealthy).
Manufacturing has been declining since the beginning of the year.
The tax-cuts didn't get workers higher wages. The vast sum went into stock buybacks.

They really need a late-entry moderate to come along if they are going to have any hope.
Moderates don't win primaries, particularly Democrats. Instead of broadening the base, they have been culling it, literally driving it to the Republicans.

Don't think that Trump's one issue is illegal immigration. It is not. If Trump is to be viewed as a single issue candidate, his one issue is pride. It's on the hat.

Let me know when he does something so deplorable and be specific. right now you are simply parroting rhetoric with 0 substance.
Arguing with you is like trying to reason with a drug addict. Nothing will convince you of how wrong you are, and I can't be bothered. Maybe when you hit rock bottom you will see the light.

I read your posts here. You are delusional Trump cultist who goes out of his way to defend Trump's lies. You have no respect for yourself and much less the country.

You want ways that Democrats alienate people like Union supporters, this is a big one. If you have not heard it about his supporters since 2016, you have been intentionally not hearing it, because it's out there. You also call his supporters stupid, uneducated, and make fun of the way they speak.

Pointing fingers and making accusations is all Democrats do these days, except for some pie-in-the-sky things like free-college and green-new-deals. It's a very angry party, partly because Trump's doing what he's doing and they cannot stop him. Anger does not attract and it's tiring. By election day, the party will be exhausted.

The situation in Europe is distorting our bond market. Germany issued bonds with a negative interest rate, which draws down our rates.
