Former Canadian PM says she's 'rooting for a direct hit' of Hurricane Dorian on Mar-a-Lago

If that's the impression you get, then that is the impression you get.

If I was getting impressions like that, I'd be seriously considering re-inking my stamp pad.

Yawn....

Is there such a thing as Canadian conservatives? Not really. They are just "librul iite".

If one considers that "The American Scale" is the ONLY possible scale for rating political parties, then you are quite correct.

On the other hand, if one takes a look at the whole world, then you aren't.

However, if you consider "The World Scale" then "Is there such a thing as American liberals? Not really. They are just 'kunservtiv lite'." is just as true.

On the other hand, <SARC>since there is absolutely nothing whatsoever outside of the borders of the United States of America that is of even the slightest interest to any civilized person</SARC>, I can see where you are getting your opinions.

You are just not getting it. Nobody is making fun of the canucks. All the criticism is aimed at the former P.M.

Really?

Then of what possible relevance is it that Ms. Campbell USED TO BE the Prime Minister of Canada (all the while ignoring the fact that she became the Prime Minister of Canada through the votes of fewer than 2,000 people who made no pretense to actually representing the entirety of the Canadian population)?

Ms. Campbell is about as relevant to the Canadian people as Billy Carter's Nephew's Roommate's Sister's Next-door Neighbour is relevant to the American people.

I consider the American scale as the gold standard. In regards to most of the rest of the world's politiicians both sides are librul....just one more librul then the other.

However she was at least for a short time, prime minister of Canada. If she was legally elected, having a slim margin did not make her any less of a prime minister.

She was elected by the Conservative Party members of Parliament to be the leader of the Tories when Mulroney retired. She never actually sat in Parliament as PM and in the subsequent election not only did the Conservatives get landslided by the Liberals but she lost her own seat in Parliament.

Something of which I have no doubt.

If one adopts the position that "The Republican Party is the center of the political spectrum." then they would be quite likely to say that.

Other people have a somewhat more rational definition for "center of the political spectrum". That definition would be based on knowing that there were MORE than two political stances in the world.

OMG ... you guys couldn't stretch this thread to September 30?

You let me down.
