Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg treated for pancreatic cancer

This looks pretty frikkin’ goulish, dude, like you’re rooting for the cancer.

I agree making this political is pretty tasteless, however his post is tame compared to the threads of people tap dancing on the grave of the Koch brother.

**** cancer. We must elect joe Biden. Only he can find the cure.

With al gore as his vice president, imagine what we could achieve.

Did you have to make this political? :(
It's unavoidable. Of all the things most liberals feared from a Trump Presidency, this was the greatest fear.

My prayers for her and condolences to her family. She has been a true warrior, no matter how much we disagreed.

Wow, and after the other cancer issues she’s already gone through. I can imagine her family must be very concerned. Best wishes to her.

While I wish her well in her personal life, I would still like to see her off the court.

I'll just say it. I want her to live because she is a living historical treasure in our nation who has done so much to progress our country socially; and I want to see her outlive Trump's Presidency so that we don't get a wingnut replacing her.

Not shocked at the antics of sick ****s everywhere.

It is sad. You lose a part of yourself when a sister or brother dies. It's been three years now, but on one level, I can still hardly believe it.

I'm sorry. I am the youngest of my two sibs and I can't imagine the pain.

I did a quick check, and what I learned years ago still seems true.

Pancreatic cancer doesn't go away, and with treatment, the survival rate I just read was 20% after 1 year. The five year survival rate is only 7%.

Looks like president Trump will likely be appoint an associate judge.

I'm coming up on 52 years old.

When I was in junior high, I got seated next to a guy that I had never met before. His name was Phil. We hit it off immediately and soon became best friends. Before too long we were almost inseparable. I became part of his family and he became part of mine. The bonus for me was that Phil had a dad and I really didn't. So, by extension, Phil's dad kind of became my dad. Phil's dad is a GREAT human being. One of those "salt of the earth" kind of people who always seems to do the right thing no matter what.

Phil's dad has had more than his share of health "crises" over the past ten years or so. He's survived both a stroke AND colon cancer among other "lesser" ailments.

Three weeks ago the doctor dropped the "pancreatic cancer" bomb on him. He probably won't make it to Christmas.

I don't care how passionate you are about your political beliefs. Your post is in poor form and you should damn well know better.

To everybody fighting this. My little sister was diagnosed one October and gone by February. But then there are exceptions such as Patrick Swayze. He held out a relatively long time. And Justice Ginsburg, as has been said, is a tough cookie. I hope she is an exception too.

this is the second time she has been treated for this. she first had colon cancer and during a scan, the doctors found the first round of pancreatic cancer. I know one person who beat pancreatic cancer and it was because he had a scan for something else. She's a tough tough lady

I am so sorry to hear about your little sis. That touched me. I don't know why, it just did.

Cancer is brutal; it took both my parents......I wish her the best and a speedy recovery.

Mine too. :(

Some helpful advice to all, get all the preventative checks available by your healthcare provider.
It may save your life. Colonoscopies especially...

And mine. We don't get heart problems or diabetes, but the big C comes calling.

Unfortunately, this is one where you make final plans.

Just pointing out the statistical facts of this particular cancer, and what will likely happen. Don't be shocked if it does.

Cancer just sucks..... It can strike anybody at anytime. Six years ago Dad was diagnosed with Lung cancer
and 6 weeks later he was gone! It is a situation that on one wants to be in! Every individual handles in
their own way and time. The best to RBG.

Same with my Dad, diagnosed, gone in six weeks. A few month for my Mom, with pancreatic cancer. Both had smoked most of their lives, and quit about 10 years before the cancer. I just figure the quitting bought them a few years of life.

From what I hear, the big problem with pancreatic cancer is that it is hard to detect, and often is to far along when they finally do find it.

exactly ,those who beat it are those who have doctors looking for something else when they find it. Usually with a contrast dye test or a MRI
