Stalin had a deformed foot and a crippled arm. He even tried to sign up for military service but was denied because of his very real physical issues. That didn’t stop him from joining the Bolsheviks and fighting. He pulled lots of triggers.

Trump is just a cry baby on Twitter. He is president and he can’t even stop the deep state. No Medal of Honor. No military uniform. He is a weak *****. :lol:

Many people have stocks and bonds in their retirement plans. Young or old, it sucks to have your holdings be so unsteady.

2008, was not that long ago. The market falling off a cliff back then is still fresh in many memories. Even if one doesn't have dime one in the market, the possibility of it happening again and being followed by the economy crashing, is concerning.

Quite the Trumpian thing to say. He says he loves economic crashes because that's where he makes profits. Doesn't matter how many Americans get hurt. Just so long as Trump perceives benefit to himself.

The tricky thing here is that Trump is acting like such as loon that he's acting against his self-interest, so he just gets wilder and wilder, trying to find something to make himself feel better. And there's nothing there to make him feel better because he has effed up so badly. And he's taking us down with him.

I try to keep a level head. His erratic comments and behavior are becoming more erratic, weekly, and the consequences are occurring more quickly. The tit-for-tat trade war is escalating.

No rational leader tweets this:

5.) Trump says that journalists are willing to “lose their wealth” if it means a chance to oust him in 2020.
6.) Trump brags about having overwhelming approval from his own party.

It could really destroy some people’s retirement portfolios. I have read articles about old people having to go back to work, because the GWB recession ruined the value of their investment fund. My uncle is a surgeon. He makes a lot of money, but also heavily invested in the market. Because of the same recession, he is working a lot longer than planned.

The budgetary issues our country is having could lead to another crisis for people in retirement. SSN could very likely bankrupt soon

Americans should be thinking about these things. It’s our future.

Trump is bank rolling Americans like us, the farmers, and most of his supporters for tax cuts for the wealthiest people. He is the swamp.

The Great Recession happened with enough time for my elderly family members to recover. If it happens again, whew. I don't know if they can emotionally take it. They are 11 years older and time is not on their side. At all.

Yep, people are working longer than planned. And even those who are retired, may have to head back to work, if their investments tank. But will there be jobs? There weren't a lot last time.

I agree, he is the swamp. Him and his administration.

And meanwhile his supporters went ape when Obama said "57 states" and "the Cambridge police acted stupidly".

Of course his supporters are okay with all of that, Gina. He's king of Israel. His own Fed Chair is the enemy comparable to the leader of a socialist country. He "hereby orders" (unbelievable) American companies where and how to conduct their business (forgetting his own hypocrisy of manufacturing his crap in Asia). On and on and on it goes, and his supporters sit back and so "He makes the libruls angry and you have TDS". WTF???

That's what the current president said this morning. There was a time when republicans and conservatives were all on about telling American businesses what to do.

Again, if any politician with a D after their name did anything close to what Trump has done and found to do over the course of the last 2+ years, a chorus of scalded cats would be drowned out by the screeching of the Republicans/conservatives for the head of that D.
