Greenland is a autonomous administrative division.

As such, it could be sold, as I understand it.

I gotta tell ya, of all the insanity from Trump, this is something I agree with pursuing.

This will be prime real estate in 100 years as global warming is too far gone to stop.

How he is going about will yield zero results, sadly.

I am rather flummoxed at the universal condemnation of Trump from the left on this.

No interest in discussing Greenland in this thread, which isn't about Greenland. It's about him giving the Medal of Honor to a WW2 veteran. There are lots of Greenland threads. And possibly some Norway threads for joko to post in.

I know he was joking but the reason I don't find it funny is because the joke is couched in his usual narcissism, a trait that has caused real damage to our country over the years.

Sadly, that's not how it works for people who are literally owned by another nation. Puerto Rico would be in a similar position, if we ever decided to sell them down the river for a profit. Not that they're getting any help from us as it is, mind you.

LOL They are not "owned", you cannot own people. Greenland is moving towards independence and selling their country out from under them is so 18th century. Do you even know what century we are in now?

If he resigned from office and left Washington, I certainly would be up for him getting the Medal of Freedom. After all, the medal is for "an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors".

What could Trump possibly do that would be more of a "meritorious contribution the the security and national interests of the United States (and world peace)" than resign? And, who could single-handedly make as great a contribution to that end than Trump, himself, through a resignation?

I posted to another poster about his incorrect post about Norway, and told him that this thread wasn't about Greenland/Denmark/Norway. You didn't "reply to my post". You butted in. I corrected joko so everyone else didn't have to see this thread tarded up further by stupid posts about Greenland. Then you come along and want to discuss Greenland with me. He riffs about giving himself the Medal of Honor, the same day the fool cancels a state visit that he invited himself to in the first place, because Trump needed to try and blame someone else for his idiotic notions about buying Greenland.

Joko, are you okay? You've gotten your threads mixed up. Nobody's talking about Greenland or Norway on this one. The op is about Trump and the medal of honor. I recommend you drink heavily for now and go see a neurologist tomorrow.
