Elizabeth Warren apologizes for 'harm I have caused' at Native American forum in Iowa

Don't lower yourself to Trump's playground level. Using the slur Pocahontas is racist. Just stop.

What is racist about using Pocahontas when referring to a racist who insulted Native Americans by trying to misappropriate their race to enhance her career?

In the case of Warren, Pocahontas is descriptive, not race related.

She took a DNA that showed she had some NA lineage. Sorry you don't know facts. Trump made this controversy. She apologized for the hurt it all caused. But you are lying like usual. Sad.

1/1024th. About average for the general population.

True. Usually I use Injun' Liz. But I thought I'd vary it up a little.

Injun' Liz brought this all upon herself. People need to stay reminded.

1) If that is all you have on her then you are pathetically desperate
2) Here you go again with racist slurs. I dare you to go on a reservations and call the residents Injun to their faces. You wouldn't, though, because I bet you're too much of a coward.

1) Go to a reservation
2) Find the first female
3) Call her Pocahontas
4) See if you come out with all limbs intact

Yang + Elon Musk 2020. 5% corporate tax without government dipping their hands in it that gets payed directly to every single American evenly.

Musk runs Tesla for god knows how many years and he still cant make a profit out of it and you want him to run the country? Egads. Then again, he isnt a natural born citizen so he cant.

But that is not what the President has done.

The racist Elizabeth Warren, used racial misappropriation and misrepresentation in an attempt to enhance her career.

The President didn't call a Native American "Pocahontas", he referred to the racist Elizabeth Warren that way as reference to, and a reminder of, her shameful acts.

Jesus christ. Your failure to see is beyond words. You are a lost cause, my friend.

Got your beat.

Trump declared bankruptcy on a casino and he's President.

So what? If you have a problem with how Harvard pays their teachers, then go whine to them.

BTW, did you know Warren released 10 years of her tax returns? How many as your hero, Trump, released?
So who do you think has something to hide???????

I don't care what Harvard pays their professors. I have a problem with people lying to get that pay.

Warren's problems with her made up lineage for personal gain has nothing to do with the President.

Warren released her tax returns voluntarily. There is no requirement. President Trump released everything required. Taxes are not part of 35, 14 year resident, citizen. Trump has paid his taxes every year. Undoubtedly he has been audited each year. If there was any there there we would have known.

Liz, on the other hand, made up a story for personal gain. Do you think that won't play out in 2020?

Nice diversion attempt, though.

Trump pretty much does something every ****ing day that should require an apology.

Perhaps, but would you treat an apology as a sign of strength or a sign of weakness? Would you say, "Wow, good for Trump! It takes a big man to admit when he's wrong," or would you say, "See! Even he had to admit he was wrong. What a putz." If it's the latter, then he has even less reason to apologize since he'd get no credit for it from you.

Going back to Warren (remember her? The actual subject of this topic?) was her apology necessary? Was it made from a desire to set the record straight and to help heal the "harm" she "caused"? Or was it something she was forced to do to try to put a political scandal to rest? I think her apology was forced, and she simply spoke the words insincerely. Which is fine. Politicians do what they have to do and this may well work to nullify the "Pocahontas" thing. Or not. I didn't see any poster on the left here say, "good for her!" I saw many on the right who said, "her already thin credibility is now completely gone."

Exactly. If Warren can call herself a NA because of a 1/1024th DNA relationship, then probably half the general population can start talking about "my native american ancestors", including you, me and likely even the president himself.

I do not hope Warren wins the primary. Only because I will not enjoy watching the Trump and the Trump's Chimps repeatedly call her a racist name.

She didn't get the amount because she claim to have has native blood. She got it because she was smart, excellent and extremely qualified. Don't distort facts to suit your agenda.

As for taxes, you fail to admit that every candidate in the last 40 years or so has released their taxes. Everyone except Trump who still claims to be under audit. Anyone who believes that also believes in the tooth fairy.
What is he hiding? The returns for the early 90s that have been made public show someone who is about as incompetent as it gets when it comes to business. It also shows someone who pays little to no tax.

Wake up, man. Just look at the facts... it's plain to see you've been duped by a con artist.

"About as incompetent as it gets when it comes to business..."

Gee, given the facts, that's about as disqualifying a statement a poster has made in quite some time.

Of course it's a sign of strength to admit when one has been wrong. I have no clue how any one else would think otherwise. If Warren was just fluffing this off, then why would she make such an effort to reach out to the indigenous people of America?

The American Mirror - Media Bias/Fact Check
Analysis / Bias

In review, The American Mirror is a personal blog of Kyle Olsen that publishes consistently pro-right and anti-left information. Every article has a sensational headline that cannot be substantiated through evidence, such as this: WHAT’S WRONG WITH NANCY? Face spasms, slurred words mar brief Pelosi speech. Generally, every story on this blog denigrates the left without a single reference to a counterpoint.

A factual search reveals The American Mirror has some misleading and false claims.

Overall, we rate the American Mirror Questionable based on extreme right wing bias and promotion of misleading propaganda. (9/21/2016) Updated (D. Van Zandt 11/28/2018)

And yet many here see it otherwise. And if the president were to apologize for calling her Pocahontas I think you would similarly treat it as a sign of weakness. Because politics.
