From ABC News:

...as the day progressed, tensions seemed to be mounting. At around 4:30 p.m. local time, and the Portland Police tweeted, that "Police are having plastic water bottles thrown at them as they are making an arrest on SW Yamhill and Park." After that, police began advising people to clear the streets or face arrest.

"Police are advising this is now a civil disturbance. Crowd needs to leave the area and go Northbound on Park or any direction eastbound. This means everyone," Portland Police tweeted.

The city has been bracing for several militant right-wing groups to arrive in the city, along with scores of counter-protesters.

Enrique Tarrio, national head of the Proud Boys, who describe themselves as an all-male "western chauvinist" group, and former InfoWars personality Joe Biggs, organized the “End Domestic Terrorism” rally on Saturday that started at 11 a.m. local time. Initially, the crowds moved in slowly, and were met by a heavy police presence, in which local police were bolstered by more than a dozen other law enforcement agencies. 4 arrested, 1 injured at Portland right wing rally: Police - ABC News

This is all so juvenile. And West Side Story-ish. And dangerous.

Yeah nazis should stay home and yell at the TV. They'd get about the same results.

Yeah nazis should stay home.

I think that if your intent is to get into fights, cause vandalism, or in general put at risk the general welfare of the public, that you should stay at home regardless of what side you are on.

And the fact that antifa wouldn't be there if not for the nazis seems to escape you.

"Infowars personality"

And not a functioning brain cell was found among them.

The Antifa group was at home. Their home is Portland, Oregon. This confrontation was started by the Proud Boys who came to Oregon from Florida.

That's what I say.

"End Domestic Terrorism" ?????? And no one in that brain trust even had a tiny second of concern that calling a riot "End of Domestic Terrorism" might cause some snickering in the media and among onlookers?

Did all of the Proud Boys sleep through Jr. Hi English?

Which was the intent to begin with, a game neither side can back away from. Yeup a low grade conflict that has the possiblity of growing far worse, quickly, ya ain't seen nothing yet, wait for 2020...

It's always a battle of the idiots. Who the hell goes to these things?

Antifa are the fascists. The name is ironic that way.

It's always a battle of the idiots. Who the hell goes to these things?

Thankfully there are those who do show up to fight these right wing whatever you want to call them. Domestic terrorists is good with me. If only in the late twenties and early thirties people came out to fight hitler and his coalition the world would probably be a much better place today.

Young people with too much time on their hands, apparently.

I did say something about ANTIFA, but they apparently didn't participate in this protest. It's still obvious how this was gonna go. With the Proud Boys' history of starting violent confrontations, it's not difficult to have seen that outcome.

Proud Boys are complete ****, but they have just as much of a right to protest and express their opinions as anyone else.

The Proud Boys are one of the saddest political groups I've ever had the misfortune of learning about. What a gaggle of idiots.

They're no better than AntiFa. As far as I'm concerned, the lot of those alt-left and alt-right bastards can be rounded up whenever they want to start a riot.

Wow. Just wow.

Ah, I'm sure they are fine people....on both sides.

But that's not what Trump is saying now. White supremacists instigate the violence and Trump blames Antifa...

"Major consideration is being given to naming ANTIFA an 'ORGANIZATION OF TERROR,'" the tweet read. "Hopefully the Mayor will be able to properly do his job!"

Day in and day out, Trump just keeps proving he's a white supremacist sympathizer.

So that basically means that Antifa, are the Nazis in this case.

So you're perfectly fine with legitimizing assault and other forms of illegal activity?
