Have you ever heard of the Patriot Guard Riders? Have you ever seen them in action? They don't confront, they don't protest, they shield by their peaceful presence. They turn their backs to those who's intent it is to cause disruption (Veteran's funerals).
No conflict, not hatred, no violence.
My point is, just because "they are there" doesn't mean that people in attendance have to turn into a violent rabid mob, regardless of sides. We should remember that we are human beings without having experienced frontal lobe trauma when Trump got elected.

We are not talking about that group though. They aren't in portland are they? We have a group who specifically went to portland to incite violence. Why are they even going to portland in the first place? Oh right to rile up liberals! Sure, most liberals won't go, but others will defend their city until the nazi scum leaves! I mean these are very simple concepts here. I seem to recall conservatives not liking other groups going into their rallies or their cities.

Antifa is a division of the Democratic Party, similar to the Nazi's Brown Shirts in Nazi Germany in the 1930s. They follow orders Democratic Party elected officials and spokespersons.

Don't start crying just b/c you cannot tell two different situations apart from each other. I've studied the Proud Boys groups across the country over the past couple of years as they got more power, and I can tell you, from their various shenanigans, money laundering, bar fights, lawsuits, beliefs, lack of morals, unhealthy interest in pedophilia and race among other things, I can name one group that are rabid animals. And it ain't ANTIFA. The most ANTIFA seems to do is hit nazis which, last time I checked isn't worse than the things that The Proud Boys stand for.

One can agree with your analysis and still believe that antifa violence is not the answer. Ridicule will sink Trump and his right wing allies. Can anyone really take Ann Coulter seriously, for example? As Robert Reich put it, let her speak. How else will we get to see how vapid her ideas are?

Hate begets hate, violence begets violence. We can't ask for a sit down? We can't ignore? We must answer hatred with more hatred? We must answer violence with more violence? Who's the "bigger man"? The one who walks away or the one who struts his imaginary stuff?
What about innocent bystanders? What about people who are caught in the middle? What is so important that you have to be there to thump your chest? Are you sure that's the solution? Are you sure yelling at the top of your lungs will reach hearts?

If citizens came out to 'fight Hitler and his coalition' they would have been murdered, end of that story. Domestic terrorism are acts committed against other citizens. Did killing a 82 year old woman or a six year old boy or slaughtering the young parents of an infant son in El Paso solve anything? Domestic terrorism doesn't solve anything because it's not addressing the root cause of any problems. It's just random terrorist activity killing innocent people without reaching any resolutions. It's only venting anger against other American citizens that the terrorist just doesn't like or share political views with.

Domestic terrorism is pointless and senseless and wouldn't have done a damn thing in Nazi Germany to stop Adolf Hitler.

Or ignoring them and not giving them any oxygen. They crave attention and all Antifa does is wind up legitimizing these creeps. If the Left had any discipline whatsoever, they'd refrain from joining in and let these far-right groups walk around the streets looking like the idiots they are.
