FBI arrests Ohio teen for online threats and finds 25 firearms, 10,000 rounds of ammo

I am 100% behind that. Most people hesitate to be assholes when they aren't anonymous, I think.

I wasn't asking you, but great that you support steps to make it easier for the government and other people to harass people.

I didn't suggest that you asked me anything. I told you something. That's how this works. And harassment? You took a long walk off a short pier there.

What are you even talking about? I never mentioned self defense. I said gun rights aren't natural rights.

The 2nd Amendment guarantees the right to self-defense, through force of arms.

The Second Amendment isn't a natural right either. Your incessant word salad is tiresome, but I'm not the first pereon to tell you that.

Actually, it is. Just like freedom of the press and freedom of religion are natural rights.

You're going to be a lot of fun for yout short time here...lol

If they are locked up in a gun vault and the kid didn't have the combo then no he wouldn't have access. Also if they are the kids then it needs to be found out how he was able to illegally purchase them.

Many families give older teens the combinations for gun safes because older teens are involved in the home protection plans. They may need to get to the firearms in the case of a robbery or break-in.

The gun vault was in the kid's room and the article states there were firearms throughout the house. I recall the Sandy Hook shooter used mom's weapons.

Do you believe the father had a use for 25 rifles and 10,000 rounds of ammo? Is that just normal behavior?

Alot of men are collectors. Different guns also have different purposes. I'm not even into guns but I could use a few more for specific purposes/placement.

And 10,000 rounds isnt that much on hand for training or preppers. I can go thru 200 rounds easily in an afternoon training. It's much cheaper to buy it in bulk.

Not a gun person here, but if I were investing in a "collection" of just about anything, I think I would be securing those items....even stamps or comic books.

It seems possible that this very casual attitude (father's) about very serious objects might lead younger people astray.

most competitive shooters go through that much ammo in a few months. Especially if it is 22 rimfire or pistol rounds. When I was on the pro circuit, I was shooting a thousand rounds a week of 45 ACP or 9X21

So given the current political climate, you think if everyone had their name attached to their posts, it would not result in more harassment?

Where did you come up with that? I said people are less likely to be assholes when they're not anonymous.

This poor young white, American, god fearing, Christian male is being harassed by Liberal anti-murica’ gun grabbers...

You sure packed a lot of bigotry in one post. Thankfully, for you, double standards let you pick an appropriate target for your hate...a white male Christian. How brave of you to choose a target to criticize with no consequences.

So if no one is an asshole(Facebook proves your theory is generally not so accurate) that means there would be less online harassment when people can put quotes to faces. Lol, just stop while you're ahead.

Its not the guns its the person that has access to them. The guns by themselves will never harm anyone. It takes an unstable person. The kid obviously has psych problems.

We continue to condone the accumulation of lethal weapons and ammunition with few limitations. We should also be mindful that the definition of a law abiding gun owner includes those who have legally purchased a gun and have not shot anyone yet.

What difference does that make? You can only shoot one at a time.

IOW, treat'em like criminals, even though they haven't broken the law.

The use of 'we' and 'accumulate' also references more people buying a gun. You only need one shooter at a time to rack up a large number of deaths and injuries.

Regards.

So if this 18 yr old kid was your neighbor or even a relative and you wouldn't even think twice about his accumulation?

I know there are men who are collectors of guns but rarely you see one age 18 with that number.

There are men with gun collections and then there are this kid and the Las Vegas shooter who were collectors. How do we tell the two apart? That is the sticky part.

It should be a small red flag.

But, it doesn't matter how many guns he has at home. He can have 5,000 guns and it won't make a difference.

The point being, you're only interested in infringement and not safety.
