Outspoken Congresswomen Barred From Entering Israel

Contrary to the nonsense people are pushing, this isn't about "banning people who disagree with me" from the Israeli point of view. It's "banning people who are actively working with those who want to kill me". The shame of the matter lies with the fact that the people in question are actual Congressmen.

Pelosi should be raising hell with that bunch.

Strange as Ben was okay with them coming over at first.

Is it? It's rational, measured, and effective. So what if it's simple?

Because it's a very bad analogy. A better analogy would be, "I am not going to let you in because you disagree with me on how I treat my neighbors."

Whether its a good analogy or not, yours is worse. It's more like the Congresswomen were cheering when the neighbors tried to burn the house down.

Care to elaborate on that?

He was removed from his committee assignments, when will the Democrats do that with these vile women?

Because there is no evidence they're anti-Semites?

It might help prevent violence... regardless, I don't care if anti-Semites are banned from Israel or even Congress.

Neither are antisemite.

Any other thought crimes you would add to your unconstitutional list of banned ideas?

If you open the door for someone, and they spit in your face, you close the door.

These congresswomen have only themselves to blame.

Should people who criticize the government be banned from the US?

Republicans think criticizing the actions of the government in Israel is the same as criticizing Jews. This makes Republicans inherently anti Semitic.

No? Why they have expressed nothing but love for Israel, and Jews in general....:doh

Republicans conflate criticizing a lobby group with criticizing all Jews, which is antisemitic in of itself. Do you believe Jews are some sort of hive mind controlled by the government of Israel?

Israel has the right to keep these hateful Congress "women" out of their country and if you dont believe with me you are an anti Semite.

Every state, not just Israel, has the right to admit those it wants to and to refuse admission to those it does not.

Let them visit Iran or North Korea instead. Then see how long their heads stay on their necks.

Iran and North Korea are recognized as dictatorships; Israel is supposed to be a country of free expression without repression if you differ with the government. I think that's the defining difference.

It's appalling that a client state should have the temerity to refuse access to members of Congress, and beyond appalling that a sitting POTUS should publicly agree. ( Are there not laws against his foolishness?)

Should people who criticize the government be banned from the US?

People who seek the destruction of the USA should indeed be banned from entry.

Every state, not just Israel, has the right to admit those it wants to and to refuse admission to those it does not.

For any reason? Is it morally justified for a nation to refuse admittance to black people?

People who seek the destruction of the USA should indeed be banned from entry.

That wasn’t the question.

Your answer says a lot about you. You think criticizing Israel is the same as seeking its destruction. You think this about the US as well, naturally. Anyone who criticizes Trump must want the end of America, right?

Reread the constitution, libertarian.

Israel has decided to ban freshman House members Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar from entering the country, according to the spokesman for the Deputy Foreign Minister .

"It would show great weakness if Israel allowed Rep. Omar and Rep. Tlaib to visit. They hate Israel & all Jewish people, & there is nothing that can be said or done to change their minds." said President Trump.

"As a free and vibrant democracy, Israel is open to critics and criticism, with one exception: Israeli law prohibits the entry into Israel of those who call for and work to impose boycotts on Israel." Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

Trump supports a foreign country over US Congresswomen..... then people claim he's a patriot....

Wait until you find out how Netanyahu was able to become PM. Hardly the thing of democracy.

Abuse of Power on Trump. This will bite him in the ass.

Should people who criticize the government be banned from the US?
In some cases, sure. Do you think we should allow Putin into the US? How about if his planned itinerary did not include meeting with any official representatives, but only political dissidents?
